More and more I am feeling that these people are s...

More and more I am feeling that these people are starting to get the hang of it. The care offered here is top notch, compassionate and focused on patient s wellness, through a model that doctors, nurses and all staff CAN and SHOULD be proud of. It pleases me greatly to know that my care matters to these people. Glad I hung on with this place. Much better now than 2 years ago. Thanks to all the staff who hung in too.

I fainted on Saturday and was put on ambulance and sent to ER. I almost died, thanks to the people who saved my life! When discharged from ER, the doctor wanted me to follow up with my primary doctor in two days. I stayed in bed all day Sunday with all the pains and uncomfortable. All my hope was Monday so that I can see my doctor to check what's wrong with my body. After several calls, I left a message to the doctor. Fortunately, they called me back, but I was shocked when they told me that the doctor can only see me next Tuesday at 6:30pm! No matter what I explained, that is what they can do also because I am a new patient to the doctor, I can go to walk-in if I needed. Yes, I am a new patient to this doctor that is because my doctor left and I have to choose another one! I had really happy experiences with center before but not this one.

I have been getting my care at CHC for a year now ...

I have been getting my care at CHC for a year now and everyone from the front desk, to the nursing staff, to my doctors, make me feel comfortable. Having my eye exam in the same place at my teeth cleaning and my annual physical is so easy and I like not having to travel off the cape to find a place that will accept my insurance.

I've been a patient of them for almost 4 years. They are usually decent. Recently I was seen for a motor vehicle injury and now the treatment is uncaring and nonexistent. I'm being given the run around for a referral to an Orthopedic. When they do finally refer me it's to a group that doesn't take 3rd party payments. The insurance company has already approved $8000 to facilitate treatment. Everytime I contact them they are not at all helpful and pretty rude about it, like I'm bothering them. This is pretty horrible treatment considering I've been a patient of theirs for 4 years already. Looks like I'm going to have to drive over the bridge for help with my injury.

I recently became a new patient at this facility after being with my prior primary care doctor for almost 20 years. We decided together that this center could offer me all the services that I was currently in need of, and all in one building.
I am now working with a team of doctors, nurses, and many others. EVERYONE that I have met with and spoken to has been patient, kind, knowledgeable and compassionate. There hasn t been a moment that I have regretted making the move to the Community Healthcare Center!

The Mashpee Community Health Center is a wonderful place. The nursing staff is always extremely kind and knowledgeable (Lisa at the walk-in clinic and Suzanne the Nurse Manager are doubly fantastic), and the reception and pharmacy people are awesome as well. CHC Mashpee is a great place to be a patient, and they have everything under one roof.

This is the worst place that I have ever been for my medical care. I have called several times over the past 3 months and have yet to receive a call back. The doctors here don't care about you enough, which I feel that they should because it services people with state insurance. I am switching doctors because I have had enough!

Dr. Bruce is the best dentist I've ever had! He was so nice, gentle, knowledgeable, and professional. After having pain in my tooth for as long as I can remember...he fixed it and now I can have ice cream again! I'm only going to him from now on! Thank you, Doctor Bruce!

The CHC is a modern looking, clean, and bright facility. You can obtain most of your healthcare services right at the same location. Services like primary care, behavioral health, dental, optometry, x-rays, and more. I've been coming here for years and the staff is always professional and very friendly.

I had the BEST DENTAL care here, better than anywhere else. The staff was excellent, polite, the place is modern and immaculate-that means a lot. Love my dentist and I don't know why it took me so long to find him.
UPDATE - I cannot thank you enough for my most recent (unexpected ) visit. I walked in with half my face covered and walked out with a huge smile and a temporary fix to carry me through. You have NO idea how grateful I am to all of you. (Thanks Doc!!)

I love the idea of all care under one roof and a team that communicates. In theory, it is great, but the reality is that there is a breakdown in communication, and in our case, because of a nurse that I believe is overstepping her authority. It is impossible to communicate with the doctor because she intercept all communication whether it is by phone or written message on 'my chart' which is supposed to give you access to your doctor for non life threatening .emergencies. I don't want to give up on this venue of care, but this needs to be fixed.

The treatment I received at the Imaging department today, 10 20/15, was horrible to say the least. I have severe back pain, and the technician did not even offer to assist me trying to get on and off the table. This woman has the compassion of a shoe box....BEWARE....Len Sansone

I tried calling to find a PCP and used every numbered option available and could NOT talk to a human being. When I pressed '0' for the operator the phone simply rang and rang and rang and rang and NOBODY answered. NOBODY. I tried other options and the best I could get was to leave my name and phone number. Is there anybody manning the store?

I ve been going to the Coummity health center for 10 years . And I love all my providers and doctors I see there . I always get excellent care and they listen to you and your needs . I use everything there even the pharmacy excellent staff and alway polite.

I would give no stars if possible. The dental clinic is a joke I was told I had cavity that were non. When I told them that I was not going to have any work done if nothing was bothering me I was told the cavity had gone away on it s own. As for the and primary care doctor good luck seeing the same doctor more then once or twice they stay for a year or so then leave. The receptionist were kind and nice beside one girl with a nose ring who was rude to say the least

I'm in the process of finding a new doctor, I have called the operator many times and all the phone does is ring. I call the nurse early and I don't get called back. I send emails, and I am lucky if I get a response. If you want quality care do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!

The optometry office is horrible! I was overdue for a visit to finalize my contact lenses. I had cancelled prior but here it is months later when I was trying to reschedule. The receptionist is very annoying, and wouldn't listen to my request she kept talking in circles. I had simply requested a late day appointment since I work 9 to 5 at another medical office at the local hospital. She gave me a date very far into the future with no promise to try to move it up if possible. When I asked if there might be another doctor that I could transfer my care to that would have late day she said we don't do that here. I was confused, and simply asked for my records to be transferred to an outside practice that would accommodate my schedule. She transferred me to medical records in record time. I was shocked, but then delt with the records dept for over a week. It is a huge hassle trying to get the community health center to transfer records.

I Was uncomfortable with the paitents volunteers assuming things because I m special needs and high functioning and hurt my neck and I didn t like how they treated me like a baby and talk to me out my disabilities also they assume the person I was with dress me every day when she dosent I live by myself she just my ride and support person i tried telling the owner four times but he didn t get it I like how Falmouth and other places only have cnas medical Assistants the front desk nurses nurse practitioners Pychians assistants and doctors some times students I know they can be a little stressful for some paitents when they first bring the Med and nursing students in but there a lot Nicer I found they don t take me saying no I m not comfortable personally because yes they might be dispointed but they don t take it as insult and they don t assume me being special needs a new thing

I am a regular patient here, my PCP is Dr. Ronan at the Bourne office, she is fantastic! I also see Dr. Terkelson and he is amazing! Both of these physicians take the time to actually listen to you; they also include a lot of what you say is happening, in the research to diagnosis the problem. My experience over the years is most Dr.'s can be condescending and do not allow you time to discuss your specific symptoms, but Dr. Ronan AND Dr. Terkelson listen to EVERYTHING you have to say, and actually give you their full, undivided attention. It's quite unprecedented in the Healthcare world today. I HIGHLY recommend CHC of Cape Cod for ALL of your health needs! I recently started going to the Dental office in Mashpee and was extremely impressed at the facility itself; it seems like a fairly new, state of the art facility, that even has a pharmacy inside so you don't have to wait in those long lines at CVS! I recently went in for an evaluation on my teeth, as the Dentist I was using did not accept my insurance; the Dentist I saw was Dr. Nicole Makhoul and she was awesome, very thorough, caring and professional with a great personality. The supporting staff at both facilities are some of the best folks I've ever dealt with in the healthcare industry, especially the women in the reception/administrative department at the Bourne location, always smiling, always professional and incredibly caring! You will look no further if you choose Community Health Center of Cape Cod for all of your health needs!

I have tried two different doctors here, neither had the time or concern to diagnose or treat an on going issue. Appointment times are short because each doctor has to many patents. If you don't scedule an appointment for first thing when they open expect an hour wait past your appointment time. Primary care appointments are scheduled for 20mins but only expect 10 with your doctor. I am currently looking for new primary care and suggest avoiding this facility.

Community health center contacted me about my issue like they posted here that thay would informed me the only way to communicate an issue or request to my doctor that was ignored on my yearly free physical was to schedule a paid appointment with him. Staff was also very rude and difficult causing me to have an intense anxiety attack.

One. The front desk people are an abomination... don't return calls and when you finally talk with them are surly and difficult.
Two. They love to yank teeth, it's about all they do, I mean do well.
Three. The Internet dental assistants and dentists don't have a clue and are totally unprofessional-- giving unsolicited advice and personal opinions. Ask for the supervising dentist if you know what's good for you.

My family and I have been patients of CHCCC for a long time now. I recommend this place to anyone I know that needs to find a new doctor. I love it here and I always feel so welcome. Pam, who can usually be found at the front desk, deserves a medal. That woman is an angel and has helped me too many times to count! And then there's Alex, a receptionist, who is always so kind and knows almost every patient's first name, that takes a special person. The doctors, nurses, therapists, psychologists, dentists, and whomever else we have come in contact with here are amazing and there are not enough words to thank you all for giving me and my family exceptional care!

I get great care at CHCCC. My primary care nurse practitioner is outstanding; FIVE STARS to Allegra who is thorough, thoughtful, and who treats me as she would her own family member. She has given me practical suggestions, most recently about nutrition, that even a specialist did not. My rating of 4 stars is because of the difficulty I have with things like referrals and call backs (mostly in the Bourne office). For example, it took me 7 phone calls back and forth (no exaggeration) to the Mashpee and Bourne offices just to get in for an X-ray as a follow up to a walk-in appointment. (Incidentally, I have to agree with the above comment that the front end person in Imaging in Mashpee is unfriendly.) I believe strongly in the community health center model of care. I am impressed with the level of professionalism and dedication that I have seen in the doctors, the nurse practitioners, and the nurses with whom I have interacted, and from whom I have gotten care.

I will no longer be using CHC pharmacy. It's has nothing to do with staff. They are very nice and very good at what they do. The in house communications between my doctors at CHC and the pharmacy seriously cut down on the regular miscommunications I encounter with outside pharmacies. Unfortunately their hours seem to be less than customer oriented. The fact that the pharmacy is only open the hours that most people are at work is mind boggling to me.

Fine example of a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) with 'all under one roof' access to many sectors of preventive, managed, maintenance and specialty care, e.g. primary physician, dental, pharma, behavioral, women's care, optometry and walk-in acute care clinic.

For the services I have utilized; I have experienced thorough and courteous service with minimal wait time from all staff. The physicians have been without hesitation to refer to outside specialists, lab work or specialty testing . The health information data access through their electronic health record (EHR) needs improvement but is in par with other large institutions (regarding interoperability/sharing issues) and is easily accessible.

The only challenge thus far has been with their telephonic system that seems to loop around incessantly. As a new center (and a most pleasing environment) I believe improvements will be made in this area. I would recommend them and have done so for both my geriatric and younger family members.

I was a patient at this clinic for several years without incident and fully pleased with the medical service. I don't know if there was a change in management but suddenly the service turned very bad, my Dr moved to a different clinic and at Mashpee they told me that he retired. This was a lie. I went to the dental clinic to have a loose bridge fixed and the dentist said she couldn't repair the bridge but she could pull all my teeth.
My new Dr was the head physician and she was totally incompetent, during our first appointment I fired her and closed all business with this clinic.
I wish better luck to anyone else who patronizes this clinic.

I have had the two best primary care physicians here that I have had in my 70+ years--smart, observant, caring. And their team members -- nurses, physicians assistants, etc. -- are also tops. Here is a doctor's office that calls you back. And if you have a problem, here's a medical clinic where patients can pop in without an appointment.

Updated rating: I just called to check if the walk in clinic was open today (dec 24th 2018). She said it was open but I am no longer a patient. Apparently if you don t see them for any medical issue for over a year they drop you with no warning. I was there a year and a half ago at most. They claimed that they send out a letter and call you but I received neither. If I had, I d have called to see what was up. Now I have no primary in a market that is hella hard to find anyone with a half decent brain. I also can t even go to the clinic since I m not a patient. Thanks for leaving me hanging........ not right!

My PCP is at the Bourne location but I live in Mashpee and prefer to go to this one. They re much friendlier then Bourne.

They way they treat people with all different disabilities is embarrassing like I told them I don t need help getting dress and some the nurses wanted to help and watch me get dress when I been seizure free for 15 to 20 years there not up date with the new studies like Emerland and the hospital that why I refuse to go back the volunteer greater are the worse it Also so bad how much you have to repeat your self and how many times you have to say no I m not comfortable

I use to be a patient here and my doctor moved and I called one-day to try and get a refill on my Prescription and someone was suppose to call me back and they never did . So I had to find a new doctor I waited for weeks and weeks and no-one called me back and the person i talked to said someone would call me back and it didn t happen I will not recommend everyone I know not to come here

There are times when I feel the staff kind of drops the ball when it comes to actually listening to a long term patients real concerns. With that said, there are a few very caring individuals who stand out when it comes to a patient. Those few are very caring people who actually get the job done.
