One if the classiest hotels in San Francisco, I stay here often for business.

They have beautiful Christmas trees and events for community.
Beautiful, classic, quintessential San Francisco hotel. Here for a work event, and though the space is amazing, the food is below standard.
Christmas tree and gingerbread house in the lobby were fantastic. Service was excellent and our room was clean and comfortable.
Ate at Tonga room. Food overpriced and not that great. Server not all that friendly. All in all, everything was just ok, not good, not great, just ok
Everything is very expensive here and the food is just okay. The corned beef hash comes from a can. Got charged for things I didn't use from the mini bar. Would not stay again.
Lovely view of the bay from the room. It's an interesting, old historical hotel. Check in did not provide full information concerning one bed in the room (we needed two beds) and hold on credit card charges. Eggs for breakfast were the best. Generally, a nice stay
A great venue and we'll maintained. The history on the walls is amazing.
Timeless / classic San Francisco landmark hotel. Attentive staff & a great place to unwind for locals, too.
One the largest hotels in San Francisco, at the highest point in the city. Apparently the last 15 presidents have all stayed at this hotel while in office.
Great view from the penthouse and the staff are very friendly!
Beautiful Christmas tree and life size gingerbread house!
Had good service, however, food was so so. Drinks were overpriced.
This hotel regardless of location services and the environment are the best, give guests a comfortable stay. The hotel itself is a historical value of the building, here I had a very happy three days.
Lovely hotel..great service but pricey. Very good location to downtown shopping as well as near Chinatown
How can you not love the Fairmont. I feel like there is such a rich tradition of luxury at the Fairmont, more so than at other fine hotels. The service is first class and they have been perfecting it for decades!
Wonderful location, assertive room service lady. There is a lack of understanding from the front desk to the room service staff. I have issues to discuss with management as it made me uncomfortable.
Classic beauty. This may fall on the slight premium side of hotels in SF but its well worth the money. Beautiful hotel with original classic artsy feel. Rooms and service was brilliant as expected.
Delicious food and great drinks. Had a wonderful time.
This place is really 6 stars but the numerator had a limit of 5. This place sits on a hill so if it snows it's going to be a tricky walk.
Classic hotel at the top of Nob Hill. This location is actually the first Fairmont branded hotel and survived the fires of SF. Nicely appointed suite, with the excellent Fairmont service. However, the restaurants in the hotel weren't as great as we had hoped in ambiance and service.
Luxury hotel where some scenes from the movie La Roca were filmed. Spectacular terrace. It is worth the visit.
You owe it to yourself to get a mai tai at the Tonga Room. The atmosphere is kitschy and amazing. The food and drinks are good too. Bring your Hawaii shirt. It's gonna be a good time.
Tonga was very good, nice drinks, and good entertainment.....a bit overrated though.
Starting around $300 a night. In my opinion, it is not worth it.
Room is pretty standard. Room is clean and no funny smells.
Amenities includes standard coffees and teas.
Queens bed is nice and firm.
Bathroom is average. Standard amenities...shampoos conditioners. Soaps, etc...
Water form showered head is pretty low due to water restriction shower head installed. Just a simple standard 2 setting shower head.
No in room jacuzzi.
Parking at hotel was $62 per day. You can park at other parking lots about 1-1.5 blocks away for around $42 - $50. Street parking was nearly impossible.
Foods and services were excellent while we were there.
There are nicer rooms available for more $$$ for those who desired.
On weekend, they serve teas are the top of hotel.
View of the bay was exceptional.
Historic hotel. Bathroom cramped and rustic for a hotel of this class.
Very accommodating! Supplied food and conference room for Zendesk. Very clean and the staff was very patient and friendly.
Great atmosphere for a quiet bite and drink. Excellent service!
Stayed in a great room with an amazing view of Coit Tower and the bay.
A San Francisco classic dating from 1907. Excelwnte location a few minutes from union square, the main square of San Francisco. Films such as La Roca or the series of the 80 Hotel, have been filmed here. As the lifts stick, there are few for the demand that the hotel has and it is very necessary to be always espwrandolos
Very beautiful. Please do yourself a favor and learn about the history of this hotel when you stay here. You wont regret it and honestly nothing else will make you appreciate your stay more.
We were really looking forward to staying at the Fairmont. The lobby is exquisite, and that's where it ended. The room was nice but overpriced for what it was. I called prior to our stay to make sure my wife had a birthday surprise in the room. They did not have it ready, I had to call the front desk and get it after the fact. Room service was atrocious, the cart that the food came one was an overwhelming bleach smell. The food itself was bland, cold and not worth the 100 dollars we spent. They didn't have soda we ordered. The little cafe in the lobby was about the same as the room service. The tortillas were stale and fell apart as soon as you picked it up. The food was overpriced and flavorless with little options on the menu. As someone who grew up in the Bay Area it was a sad experience. The Tonga room was the highlight of staying at the Fairmont. You have to be a guest or party of ten or more to have a reservation. Sadly we will not return to the Tonga room because of the unpleasant stay at the Fairmont. With all of its history and prestige the Fairmont was a let down.
Beautiful views. Bar and tiki lounge a lot of fun.
Has a piano bar and gorgeous lobby and bar restaurant! Super crowded but definitely stop in for this place decor!
I love staying here. The service is impeccable. Our room had a beautiful view of the bay. The only reason I deducted 1 star is because a guest was racist towards us in front of staff and nothing was done
Fantastic place to visit and stay for the holidays.
Great Hotel and the coffee shop in the basement have great croissant s
The crown ballroom was very pretty! Had a great view of the city.
Fantastic Hotel - Location is nice but not very central. Getting to and from is a long walk uphill or with car. If you don't mind that it's amazing
Beautiful hotel with great ambiance, one of my favorite places to vist..
We ate at Laurel court for the holiday tea. The gingerbread house, Christmas decorations we're fantastic. Highly recommend the tea event.
Wonderful stay. Feels like your stepping back in time.Views from our room on the 17th floor of the tower were spectacular. The service was terrific and the food was good. The rooms are a decent size. The hotel is large, so if you like a more personalized stay, this might not be the place for you.
Viewed their venue space. Very beautiful ornate decorations with gold accents. Rooftop garden is beautiful as well.
To be honest, I didn t stay overnight! But if you are looking for a bathroom always go to hotels, they are very clean and you can enjoy their environment without paying. I was impressed with the luxurious restroom they have, so I can imagine how the bedrooms and service are in this 5 star Hotel. Next time I might stay!
You are treated like you are their most important guest. The Tonga room is a must , so much fun ! We can't wait to go back.
Beautiful property in a wonderful part of San Francisco. Fantastic views!
Prestigious hotel and seasoned waiters with casual attitude and ordinary chef not able to impress my taste buds.
Epic hotel. Parking around the area is expensive though.

WORST MANAGEMENT STAFF! Take business elsewhere
If you want to feel like Royalty, stay at the Fairmont in San Francisco. Everyone from the front door valet parking to the front desk, waiters, housekeeping to the workers in the shops were thoughtful & knowledgeable. This hotel is gorgeous inside.
Our room 1504 was Beautiful & clean & most importantly quiet. Will definitely stay at Fairmont hotels wherever I travel.
Beautiful lobby, great room. All the staff are welcoming and friendly.
Christmas wouldn't be cozy unless you visit The Fairmont Hotels xmas decor on the main lobby floor says all. Great place for photos.
Arrive after dinner. Friendly staff. Guests in next room were loud in the morning (or thin walls). Also chromcasting required wifi payment.
We went there for the life-size gingerbread house. It was okay.
Definitely a classic go-to hotel in SF. Excellent location. Historic and stunning with top-notch service!
Outstanding service and location try the onion soup
