This hotel has amazing service and the staff was very friendly. I stayed in a junior suite and it was quite spacious and very clean. They offered many amenities from soft white robes to a small living room area. I was able to grab dinner at the Tonga room and the food was fantastic and themed well. I will definitely be staying at the Fairmont Hotel again in the future.

Went to the tiki bar. Fun atmosphere and interesting place with live music. Food is pretty good.

We stayed in a bridge view suite in the tower. Spectacular views and lovely quite room. Could have stared out the window for days. Breakfast excellent and charming door staff. highly recommend (we stayed with our kids).

One of the finest hotels in the city, perched at the top of the hill with some pretty spectacular views of the bay.

Went to see the Tonga room but arrived too late so never got to experience it. Lady at the entrance was realistic with us as to the possibility of getting in so we could make an informed decision. Wait time in line in relation to when they stop letting people in.

It was quite fun! Drinks are pricey though $15 for a gin and tonic.

Beautiful lobby and restaurant. We just came for appetizers and drinks. The food was good, but our crab cakes was actually a single small crab cake for $24 (our bill even was plural). We were done getting drinks after that. Go down to Plouf and get 3 crab cakes that taste just as good for $13.

Best tiki bar I have been to. Really nicely decorated. Drinks are good. Nice ambience.

I haven't stayed in this hotel as a guest, but I attended a conference here. The facilities are very nice, and luxurious looking. The bathrooms and common areas were all very clean. Also from a conference attendee point of view, the rooms for a very comfortable temperature! That's hard to find!

Beautiful decor and the breakfast buffet is delicious (omelet bar, smoothes, eggs benedict, and a variety of pastries)

I was there on a Friday night in the Tonga Room for a couple of drinks. They had an amazing live band playing on the stage on the water. It was fairly packed on there but there waitresses available to take orders even if you had no table to sit or stand by, so the wait for drinks wasn't long at all! I wish I had time to come back on a regular weekday to really enjoy the place. Tldr: cool atmosphere and tasty drinks!

Elegant place, friendly staff, you have to pay for WiFi. Great location, but it's in top of a big hill. Uber accessible

Visited the Tonga for drinks - what a treat!! The atmosphere was amazing, they really nailed the vibe, and our server was friendly and helpful. A very cool and unique experience, definitely recommend!

Went to the Tonga room for a birthday dinner. The appetizers of ribs, chicken wings, egg rolls and some other fried thing was very delicious. I had the mahi mahi was very tasty and had the Singapore sling which was very well made. There wasnt enough diversity for desserts. Loved the ambiance and the dance floor was a ton of fun.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Great location, great staff, beautiful rooms, a wonderful experience every time. While walking from here can be a challenge with the large hills, its such a short taxi/uber anywhere, it's worth it.

The Fairmont outdid themselves on this one. I stay in hotels over 200 nights a year. This view was by far the best view I have ever had We were in Suite 7 and it was a panoramic view of the bay in the city. It was completely breathtaking The room was impeccable , spread out and roomy. Very comfortable

We were celebrating a birthday and I wanted it to to be an outstanding experience . I called and inquired about an upgrade to a suite I spoke with Ellen and she said that she was going to need to get it approved She was very attentive and you could tell she really wanted to make it happen She talked with her manager Allison who approved the upgrade. These guys were both so customer service focused it was a real treat The Fairmont is by far my favorite San Francisco hotel. You will not be disappointed!!

This icon has totally LOST IT! Everything is unkempt, from the otherwise elegant lobby to moldy bathrooms. SERVICE SUCKS! They even tried to bill us for breakfast which was included in the rates!!! Is there an on-going dispute with the union? 'Coz only that can explain our nightmare with the hotel..

Hotel had an outdated appearance. Tiki bar was trashy.

Tonga Room is fun. Also, good guest wifi if you gotta get things done.

Spectacular hotel, amazing views of the city from the Crown room on the 24th floor.

The Fairmont was awesome. Attentive staff upgraded us to a king size bed from a queen which the wife appreciated. Room was clean, quiet and even had a walking closet. Overall a great stay.

Attended for a wedding, and the service was very nice throughout the night.

I took my granddaughter to see the Gingerbread House but it was already in poor conditions because the kids tried to eat it and they didn't replace the missing decorations.

Beautiful old gem without any direction and decoration. The place is super dirty and needs a make over big time ! Staff on top of been badly directed is not very efficient! Does hotel has a director ? What a miss group Accor !!! Monsieur More

The rooms here are fabulous and the staff here is very tentative. The location is also great for sightseeing. It's close to all the nearby attractions.

Gingerbread house was underwhelming. Was not an overnight guest - review is exclusive to the gingerbread house.

Had an event at the Penthouse and was totally floored. Unbelievable suite.

Our stay in early November was nice. The room was as expected, clean and comfortable. The location is central, however we didn't find many things to do within walking distance. The purpose of our stay was leisure. When returning to San Francisco I would consider other options. If staying for business the accommodations would be suitable. Though I don't have any major issues with our stay, we also didn't feel any wow factor at the prestigious Fairmont. For the price of the stay, the alternatives would have suited our trip for less.

Wonderful architecture and helpful staff. Honestly, I'm a Marriott guy but this was a very welcomed change. I will definitely be back with the family on our next vacation.

It is a Fairmont, so it is all about exceptional service and feeling like you are in another world. The top of the hill is a great view, but hard to walk many places.
