Location is on top of a big hill so prepare yourself getting uber ALOT if you stay here. No free WiFi or Netflix. To hook Netflix up you need to use their wifi to connect into the room's tv your staying in (pay for wifi). Otherwise pleasent visit. Staff/customer service definitely 10/10 they help up with medical at front desk and they help anyway they can.

Tonga bar is an awesome place. Great ambience! Live music after 8 PM. The band sings on a moving boat in the middle of the bar. You can hear rain and thunder sounds in between, romantic feeling. You can dance guys (no restrictions). Expensive but great!

Stayed here 2 weeks ago, for 5 days. I was SHOCKED!!!! in a good way . I've stayed at many hotels in San Fran. By far, these rooms were the biggest I've ever seen! And that says a lot for the city by the bay . Had room to hang all clothes in the closet, and even an extra rack for our luggage. Temperature was well controlled throughout the hotel. Bell service was great, and the people at the front desk were always helpful. The only bad thing is the Valet Parking price. $60 per day is a bit steep, but I probably shouldn't have had a rental car in the city anyway. But I will definitely stay here again on my next trip! Well wort the price!

Went to visit the Tonga as we were passing by, wasn't sure what to expect but got a nice surprise with indoor rain! They have yummy drinks and a cool islander vibe that is complemented by a live band that plays on a boat. Went on a Sunday evening so it wasn't very busy.

Pretty place but what you get for what you pay for is not worth it. Look at it this way, they charge 28 dollars for a bowl of oatmeal. Room was clean and nice but no better than Best Western. Sorry wasnt impressed.

The Christmas decorations are absolutely beautiful! The gingerbread house is stunning and is a must see every year. Music, drinks, festive spirit, it's all there. I highly recommend it to everyone who looks for a place filled with holiday cheer!

Beautiful hotel, great location, excellent customer service. They booked us a shuttle at the last minute, for only $15 per person from SFO, and they provided a refrigerator, crib and a pullout sofa bed as well for no extra charge. There is a gym and internet included in the price. I love the hotel!

Went to the Tonga room. Great atmosphere and enjoyable food. Definitely check out the lobby of the hotel and the shops. The lobby is stunning and the shops have done truly gorgeous things.

One of the two classic luxury hotels of SFO, superb service , but even for financially comfortable people a stretch unless you are on an expense account

Stopped in for drinks at the Tonga Room. Amazing atmosphere and great happy hour prices. The table cover charge when the band is playing is too expensive so I recommend arriving before 7pm. All the drinks are strong and taste good.

My coworkers and I went to the Tonga Room for dinner and had a fantastic time. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was fantastic. We had such a fun time on a Wednesday, and we were able to get a table quite quickly as well.

One of the classic and iconic hotels of San Francisco. Beautifully decorated for the holiday season. Gingerbread exhibit was wonderful. Great area for kids to hang out and drink hot chocolate.

Let's face it, the Fairmont shows it's age, but the rooms are nicely re-modeled and the views of Chinatown, North Beach and the Bay are hard to match (unless you go across California Street to the Top of the Mark. I had a foaming good time in the ballroom at Bacon and Beer. No review of the Fairmont would be complete without a nod to the Tiki room. The Fairmont is a great starting point for biking or skateboarding down Mason Street, but please check your brakes first.
