I genuinely don t know what happened in the last year, but CCA is the worst Health Insurance around. I have called for over a year or longer about a payment they were Supposed to pay. I have sent and provided all the info they asked me for, they said they'd pay it, but til this day they still haven t paid it. Also the staff Are incompetent and are definitely breaking HIPAA laws. I have called to complain, ask to speak to managers supervisors or whoever actually knows how to do their jobs but to no avail I was promised multiple times that a supervisor or manager would call me back when available but have yet to receive a call to resolve the issue. This company used to be decent but they are absolutely horrible and they truly don t know how to do the jobs they are being paid to do! Save yourself the frustration choose a different health care insurance.

Before when I had Masshealth & medicare I was able to see any Dr. When my insurance kicked in I had already had a surgery booked but because of the insurance change I had to get prior authorization that took 3 weeks by that time then I had to wait another six weeks because they were all booked up by the 20 business days needed for prior authorization. Recently I've been trying to find an eye doctor near me. They told me I had to get prior authorization and then I find out I can't even get glasses at this place. This is happened twice with 2 different eye Drs near me. I don't drive but don't want to
have to travel near Boston for everything . I literally live 10 mins away from Rhoad Island. Am hour away from Boston

CCA used to be a really professional and comprehensive "insurance " company before they got too large. I used to work for them and we helped many seniors stay at home as they aged and we walked the talk. We cared and our care managers really cared and did the right thing. My mother is on hospice and 3 months ago we requested grab bars. First they denied it and after I pushed they said they do an exception. As of today they are still not installed. Nobody and I mean nobody at CCA has been able to give me an answer and when I tracked down the vendor myself , I was told that they do not install grab bars. So after dropping the ball for 3 months! they referred to an agency that doesn't even install them. This is unacceptable on so many levels. You can't get a direct number and each person you speak to passes you on to someone else. It's shameful and they should be shut down. They are just an insurance company now and not a good one at that! Stay on regular mass health it go on Fallon .

I HAVE NEVER SEEN A COMPANY MORE UNPROFESSIONAL I'VE HAD 27 ABDOMINAL SURGERIES AND FOUR LUNG SURGERIES AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH HORRIBLE NURSES AND SUPPOSED PROFESSIONAL PEOPLE THIS IS MY HEALTH NOT AN AMAZON MEMBERSHIP

This is absolutely the worst care in Massachusetts. Unresponsive care partners, staff and customer service agents do not follow protocol or policies. A grievance process that is broken and compromised by unprofessionalism and non ethical employees who have no acumen or aptitude for health and well-being. I ve called and pleaded with customer service to please forward me to a supervisors and the calls are repeatedly disengaged. I m currently reaching out to the Ombudsman, Health and Human Services and Medicare for assistance as CCA is unwilling to cooperate and help resolve any of my health care issues and concerns. I m desperately pleading for help at this point! Anyone considering CCA SHOULD HEAR MY WARNING.

I ve had this insurance for 6 months now. I don t want to meet with their nurse practitioner once a year. Isn t that what my doctor is for? Total waste of money and feels intrusive. When I declined I continued to get phone calls to set up an appointment. They had no records of my previous calls.

They also denied a routine prescription renewal of an ointment I use for eczema (which I have had forever) and made me visit my doctor to get the prescription filled. How is that efficient?

In another forum where I have a bad review a reply comment from Commonwealth gave a number to call to resolve my issue and it was a complete waste of my time.

I m almost 60 and this has truly been the first time in my life I ve had so many annoying difficulties with a health insurance company.

Case worker Jill verbally abusive, lied profusely and refused to help. I haven't had any home health care in 5 weeks because of their incompetence and excuses. CCA used to be consistent now they are a joke

i have been cca respite program it is very helpfull but they keep inviting problem clients back who nave dissrupted the respits in the past this causes a problem for the clients whp need the service
