To quote Mr. Bourdain "if yo don't like this place you are too dumb to live". One of the crown jewels in the NOLA fine dining scene. I've been coming here for years and it ALWAYS leaves me smiling. Best brunch in town. Their revillion menus are foodie dreams. Put on great events (my wife's law firm has their Christmas dinner here every year). It's one of my absolute favorite places in town.

Thank you to Yolanda, Riker, Miranda, Andrea and the valet for making my birthday such a wonderful and memorable experience. I am glad we chose to celebrate it there. It met and exceeded all my expectations.

The service was impeccable, and the food was so delicious that this had to have been one of the best meals I have ever had! This is a "must" travel stop during your trip to New Orleans!

We came in for dinner and very impressed with the reception and the service. The whole place was almost filled to capacity. We dined in the upstairs area facing the large glass walls looking down on the courtyard. The servers were always More

The downstairs is sleek, new and ultra-modern. The upstairs is quaint, old-fashioned and is in need of some minor repairs.

Can t beat the food. Love the jazz brunch.

I ve seen some complain this is pricey: I disagree. You want pricey? Try Restaurant R evolution or August!

About $40 per person before gratuity (jazz brunch ordering a la carte).

Cant remember the name of the item from the menu we ordered but it came with wine pairings but the real stars of the meal were the well balanced portions as well as the exceptional customer service. Its more than a meal its truly an experience.

One of the best and there are many reasons why. The service was over the top and flawless. They walk you through the kitchen on a routine basis the food was incredible and the post meal service was also incredible. Too many details to mention trust the staff recommendations and also if you eat the Creole bread pudding have champagne with it it really helps. No reason why they don't have six James Beard awards service and food wow wow wow. Be prepared to spend some money

My friend and I split the lunch special with turtle soup, quail ducken, and bread pudding. Everything was tasty but a little on the salty side. Service was superb and extremely friendly. I'm sure this has been said enough but don't forget about their $0.25 martinis (yes, that's 25 cents!).

One of the most complacent culinary establishments in the New Orleans area. No effort to deliver on the expected prestige in the flavor department. Service is spot on. However, food was less than you would expect coming in to it.

The gulf fish dish is absolutely amazing. Definitely go for the bread pudding souffle, and make your reservation well in advance of your trip. Service is impeccable. Yes, its pricey, but you are paying for a fine dining experience, and that is what you will get.

Great ambiance and definitively an experience. Food was not as amazing as I expected especially for the cost. I had better meals for half the cost in other nice restaurants in New Orleans. This is a visit once for the experience and then maybe never go back in my opinion.

Commander's Palace was absolutely amazing. The service was on point with my large group's needs being consistently met. The food was fantastic having tried multiple courses. I can confidently say that if I return to New Orleans I will make Commander's Palace my first stop for dinner.

My favorite of the Brennan's restaurants. Their cocktail menu, while somewhat limited, it's very good. Mushroom ravioli appetizer was delicious, very light, and savory. Make sure you order the Bread Pudding Souffle. AMAZING!

Just finished lunch. Unfortunately this place is stuck in its time. While they have tried hard to make their food modern, it just lacks new flavors and fresh takes on dishes. It reminds me of the rainbow room in NYC in the same way.

I had turtle soup at a local place in the French quarter, which was much much better than commander's.

Cannot recommend this place enough. Be sure to make reservation weeks in advance for Saturday brunch. Drag show was amazing and the bartenders did not allow the bottomless mimosas to stop flowing. My glass was barely half way full each time they topped it off lol. Fave NOLA spot. Excellent food and entertainment

We go to Commanders a few times a year when in Mew Orleans to visit family. Today was not the meal we go for. My mother husband and I ate the same meal except the entree. I had the Cochon de lait eggs Benedict and I had food poisoning. Only difference and that was all we had eaten for the day.

Some of the trips can be called meals.

Some of the trips can be called meals.
In New Orleans, the transplantation party really made me feel that way.
Next time I go to New Orleans again, I want to visit again

Hands down the best meal I've had in my entire life from beginning to end. Went for the jazz brunch for my birthday. The wait staff are so attentive and so sweet. The customer service is like no other. Get the turtle soup, sounds weird but the flavors are out of this word, your stomach will thank you later.
Beautiful views of the courtyard, exquisite food, the live band, and the friendliest staff. Without a doubt will go again on my next trip to NOLA

Overrated. The initial service was great. We got the tasting but the food was not up to par versus other restaurants we have been to. Our waiter was not very friendly either. The presentation was nice... but looks aren't everything. My wife and I were very disappointed.

Commanders Palance is a must visit in New Orleans. I have dines here for the jazz brunch two times, each time was just as fabulous as the other. They pay true attention to detail. Service is outstanding, drinks are never empty, you are escorted to the restroom, food is incredible. The gumbo was my favorite in New Orleans. The band walked around taking music requests and everyone in the restaurant had a smile on their face. Truly one of a kid place. Commanders Palace is not only a meal, it is an experience... One you will never forget.

My family and I needed a great event for no good reason last week. We decided to come here to have that event to celebrate nothing. The staff is so professional here, even in covid the atmosphere is wonderful. So happy Commander's is local to us.

Wow. Something must have gone terribly wrong there tonight because it was a debacle through and through, and the five star ratings can't all be wrong. Things went so far sideways that our entire five person, multi-course meal got comped. Even though they did the right thing in doing so, I would never recommend it nor return.

Our meal started out strong with a shrimp app recommended by our server. The service was great as were the 25cent martinis! My main course was a weird "salad" of fried chicken, lettuce and some cooked vegetables and potatoes that just didn't make sense. My bf had a crawfish sandwich which was just ok. This restaurant gives you a glimpse into the old south and is a neat experience but there are better options for food.

I worked here for about a year after I left culinary school.
I can tell you that everything made here is made in-house and with very few exceptions made that day. Plus they clean daily the way most restaurants clean monthly or even yearly. These guys work their tails off. Never have I work so hard or been part of a team that worked this hard for so little pay.
The food is classic creole with a little creative twists from the chefs, but you're paying for freshness and the fact everything was made on site. Something only the culinarily inclined can really appreciate.
Service here is out of this world, above and beyond, fine dining experience. Prepare to be waited on hand and foot.
If you're looking for the royal treatment and classic New Orleans cuisine then Commanders is the place to go. Just be prepared to drop upwards of $100 a head once you've had four courses and drinks.

Very nice place, with friendly wait staff and excellent food. Place is upscale and most people who dine there will be dressed up. Men generally requiring a collared shirt and slacks. Many men wearing sport coats. Lunch prices are typical for the venue....dinner is a bit higher I would say $$$-$$$$. Best stawberry short cake I have ever had.

Absolutely the best meal I had in New Orleans, was only there a short time but went to Commander's Palace twice! Obviously the 25 cent martinis are awesome, but the meal was amazing and the dessert was probably one of the best I ever had( the bread pudding souffle)! Will always make sure to go there again every time I'm in New Orleans!

The high quality of this restaurant's food and service is undeniable. I highly suggest the turtle soup and the mushroom risotto. The praline parfait is a MUST HAVE for dessert! It's nice to spend a night getting dressed up and enjoying the company of your family and friends!
