Curry's pc world seem to be reasonably competitive...

Curry's pc world seem to be reasonably competitive on price these days. And have a decent product selection of big ticket items. I went in for some basic computer components and they had one option of what I wanted. The man in the shop struggled to understand why I might have wanted a different, better performing brand. Seems they're still struggling with personell but it's not a bad shop. But could be better in a few areas

Matthew, the guy who served me at this branch was incredibly helpful and professional. Even though I changed my mind a few times about which laptop to choose, he was patient and very calm. I left with the perfect device because I didn't feel pressured by any sales tactics, he just gave his expertise and advice. Great service overall!

Really not impressed. Bought a new tumble dryer. Only told after we paid that the only one in stock had been returned and was not in original packaging. We were assured it was in full working order. Got it home and sure enough it was faulty. The condenser didn't work and left water all over the base of the machine. Knowingly sold a faulty product tried to call up the shop and gave up after ten minutes if being on hold . Not shopping there again.

my wife came for a laptop and was very pleased with the customer service, they explained everything in basic English and offered her free insurance for 3 months.

very good service would deffinatly recommend if your not a technical person

Advertised a Samsung tablet with case...no case available ..not offered any case or any reduction in price...false advertising then not providing the advertised goods...staff and manager not interested..got my tablet from John Lewis instead ..wont be shoping there again and advising everyone I know the same

Absolutely disgusting today on "Black Friday"... Took two parcels in to drop off with their DPD drop off service, as i do every week... without issue. Nope not today. I was very rudely told by the GENERAL MANAGER Jonathan that they weren't taking them today because they were too busy... (queue of approx three people...) - . "It's not my problem" -erm well you are the general manager so who's problem is it?

I had paid for this delivery for DPD and my nearest drop off is Currys. What a waste of time.

Really really disgusted with the treatment, especially when we are in the shop every week with parcels. This is my first ever bad review i was that annoyed. Only Black Friday Customers matter clearly.

Seem to be lying to a lot of people saying they have stock 3weeks later trying to get your money back a joke wasted too many hours getting messed about talked to other people who felt the same need to get their act together

I honestly appreciate the need for safety, to customers and staff, during this pandemic but felt this was totally over the top. Queuing for long periods, never seems to move, and when it is hot it ain't pleasant, cover of some kind would be good. Had to go back today saw the queue and turned away as I didn't bring suncream.

A decent sized store with lots of stock. Customer service is a mixed bag. Some staff don't seem to want to be there, some staff are brilliant(Tony is the best! ). Reasonably tidy but there's often a few items without prices on so you have to guess or use their website on your phone. This shop is fine if you already know what you want, but if you're unsure and want some guidance, getting someone to help can be difficult, and if you do get someone, there's a chance they'll treat you as an inconvenience.

The CPW as a standalone is really good, good staff, always tidy, always helpful, never pushy. Clearly a different shop within a shop.

Very poor service 31/12/14. waited 32 minutes from going in to getting product. I reserved an item on line and went and joined a queue to which was 4 deep and got bigger! A lady was waiting for her item to be taken to her car and she was complaining as I waited. I got to the front of the queue to be told to wait near the dishwasher area. I then had a further 23 minutes in which I was so close to walking out. The service from the lady who processed the transaction was fine...just the very poor waiting time. I should have gone to the St Andrews Quay or ordered online.

Well organised with signs showing the public the way round and keeping everyone 2 meters apart in our case it was mobile phone section a friendly member of staff would come to you to assist your inquiries we felt at ease all the time we were in the store

Aweful customer service, this sold me a faulty lap...

Aweful customer service, this sold me a faulty laptop, argued for days about the fact it was faulty and then eventually sent it off to the manufacturer who CONFIRMED it was known to be faulty.

They then, upon return of the laptop installed a trojan virus and adware, I am currently in the process of reporting them to the police as suggested by trading standards.

Went to get a TV and soundbar for the father in law. Wanted a specific type of TV (not smart TV as he's 91, not 4k, and next size up from current 32").
Found the perfect JVC TV at a reasonable price. However the JVC soundbars were Bluetooth. Needed a hdmi TV arc connection so it would work off one remote - the TV one or he would get confused.
Had a little wait for sales person, but the could not guarantee it would work off the TV remote, so they actually offered to plug a hdmi one in to see as it could not be returned after opening if it did not work as we wanted.
This I think is service above and beyond what you would normally expect, and meant I could buy both items with confidence knowing my father in law will be able to use it and enjoy without extra wires and remote controls.
Very happy.

Due to Covid restrictions, placed order on line delivered to store on time, picked up at drive in collection, very efficient service, kept informed on phone as to where I was in queue, well done to all at Currys. Happy New Year to you all & stay safe

After waiting for about 20 minutes to be seen . I was told the item was out of stock . They didn't know when it would be in . I was told they might be in when they get their black Friday stock in .

Staff are idiots saw an item online and decided to go get it in store saves me time. Asked a member of staff I wanted to buy it she checked stock levels it was in stock with 1 left so she went to get it. After 10 mins of waiting she came back and told me it's was either missing or some staff member had sticky fingers. That was the actual answer I got so I left and ordered it to be sent that very store, as the site said it was in stock. I waited for the email to go pick it up got there greeted by an igorant manager to fobbed me off to the same cheery staff member few days before, who then told me it wasn't in stock and I had to buy it for it to be delivered via post.

They didn't even update the stock to say it was out of stock thus if they did I would have just got it delivered to my address in the first place for next day.

I like the shop, prices are good, but I hate the "sell sell sell" attitude of the sales guys, I went to buy a laptop and he tried to make me think I was buying the wrong one, I know about computers and it was adequate for my needs but he said "you will probably get about a year out of it" I asked until what happens, he said "it will just slow down so much it will be barely usable"
Even a gaming computer will even get bogged down over time, this is why we reinstall Windows from time to time to keep it fresh.

So be wary when buying things cos they will always try and push you to spend more and get extended warranty.

Good selection of products. Staff sort of OK but knowledge a bit limited. Wanted a laptop for my son and was simply pointed to a bank of laptops and only later offered some minimal advice. Not able to bargain with them for further discounts. Seemed more excited about pushing added insurance packages (suppose this is linked to commission). As said OK experience but not a stellar one. Parking good on site, and cafes nearby.

We all know what it is, and that it will probably be cheaper online! We all just go there to physically pick it up to look at it and ask the store staff what we need to know. LOLs . Though sometimes the staff know less than we do.

Was ok. Wasn't much social distancing going on. Some people walking around without masks on but they could have been exempt even though they didn't have anything to show that they were. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

Waiting ages to see someone about printers... Found a manager who told me she was not on sales but would send someone over. Bit more of standing around like a dingbat for someone to come and tell me what I wanted wasn't on stock. But I am good at standing around looking daft.
