This is an open air theater with a covered seating section. The acoustics were great. Seats provide ample legroom for the tall.
I can't believe you are actually advertising the ENTIRE time on the lawn screens are you kidding me?!
Had lawn seats and still a good view. Overall, good experience as long as the weather holds up.
Parking and Traffic situation needs to be addressed
Amazing place.. Seen Godsmack and Shinedown. Great show. Very expensive drinks tho..
Great venue for music, lawn area will become a little muddy Midway through the concert when it rains a day before, paid parking is worth the money. Went to see imagine dragons and was surprised to see how many younger kids came. No issues with rowdy concert goers, security was very good. Prices for food and drink were very pricey. Prepare to pay or eat before you come.
Great venue, lots to do besides the show. Concessions are really good also.
I have been to probably 100 shows here and I have never had a bad experience once definitely the best venue in ct
Attended show on Saturday. Long lines for bathrooms and not enough recycling or trash receptacles. Otherwise - great views.
This is a fun place to go to see a concert! We got away with parking for free down the road, so maybe you ll get lucky too! They have a lot of snack and drink stands throughout the venue, but be prepared to spend over $5 on a drink! The lawn section was very spacious, and they even let you bring in chairs and blankets.
Venue great. Watch out for hustlers in the parking lot. Saw the used here was really great show.
I m giving 4 stars only because the traffic leaving this place is insane. They need better traffic control here. Otherwise great facility! Good concerts and decent priced drinks/concessions. Would love to see some more GF options for alcohol though.
It's a comfy lawn and the music always sounds good. A bonus: the security force is almost non-existent.
If the show is even close to sold out....don't go. You will end up regretting it. Trash, Porta Potties- all overflowing. It was very unsanitary. Like that feeling you get after you leave a waterpark, when you're honest with yourself about all the pee and chemicals that were actually in the water....and it splashed in your mouth. Owners only cared about making top dollar, that was obvious. Made for a very dangerous yet preventable situation. Here's another fun analogy: I'd rather jump into the play balls at McDonald's head first. Sit there for an hour. And not wash until that evening. I'd still be cleaner and less disgusted
Staff do have a job and th at is understandable but their behaviour was unacceptable. Warped tour was held here and the staff had to control the aisles andL seating area. They were rude to lots of people. You couldn't go to the bathroom or get food unless you wanted to give up your seat. They had no manners except one girl. She was about 5'6, black, beautiful lady who actually helped. I wish I got her name but she was the only nice staff.
We went to the Xfinity to see Pentatonix. The sound system during the first two acts was terrible. I figured it was set for the main act since the bass was way over the top. When Pentatonix came out it was similarly terrible. It sounded like a bunch of Google home speakers being over driven in a bus terminal. Who would have thought that a venue made specifically for music could sound so awful and boomy. They ruined a beautiful act with amateur sound. Go anywhere else.
Traffic a nightmare. Security/police of little help directing traffic. Two cocktails and one bottle of water:$49.00, a bit extreme. Hartford is harsh.
Poison, and Cheap Trick we're excellent as they played their hits and didn't give the fans a lecture on politics.
The opening band was solid as well
Staff is pleasant and helpful but the parking lot is terrible, dusty, uneven, cannot really tailgate....needs to be repaved. Come on Live Nation.....you could charge $1 per ticket and recoup the cost in a season or two.
Excellent venue, clean, staff friendly and helpful! Sound great, too much bass, but then again, this is Korn & Rob Zombie!!
Rude staff, speakers are terrible they need to put money into the sound system.
Awesome but food and drinks are extremely way overpriced
Had a great time, they need to figure out a way to make that hill safer!!!!
Venue itself was nice, traffic getting out was awful as there was only one way out of the parking lot. Also purchased early entry for the show, got in 5 minutes prior to regular entry, didn't make much of, if any, difference.
They need to invest in an updated sound and video system. Very outdated and the speaker system was terrible for the field. Won't come again.
I've been to many concerts here and overall it's meh. But, on this latest occasion I was with a friend who can't walk well and has a handicapped hang tag. We had to park across the way in Restaurant Depot and the attendants had no clue what was going on and told us (and another family) to park on the opposite side of the building and that golf cart shuttles would pick us up. We waited over there for about 20-25 minutes before we finally started walking towards the other side of the building. Then we saw a gold cart pick someone up. When he came back and picked us up he said no one had ever called him to pick up anyone on the other side (the attendants said they called 3 times) and he told us that we were supposed to park on the near side of the building (but there was a sign there that said theater employees only - so even the two young women who were right there and told us to park in the Depot lot either didn't know or didn't care to direct us appropriately). I'm really disappointed that LiveNation has decided to use part of the larger handicapped access lot for premier parking (there used to be more handicap spots in the large lot close to the gates).
As for the venue itself, it's getting a little dated. The screens on either side of the stage are worn out, or the cameras need to be replaced. The special Xfinity VIP box by the soundboard looks state of the art though :(
The lawn is too steep to really stand on and causes me immense pain after a whole concert out there.
The free parking isn't horrible though if you don't need handicap parking. So that's a plus. Not a bad walk and, while getting out can take a while on a busy night, the Xfinity Theater free parking is not the Xfinity Center in Mansfield (a true nightmare to leave a show if parking for free).
Classic Connecticut summer concert venue. Be warned there are many drunk highschool and college kids that attend shows here.
Surprisingly intimate for a venue holding over 20k people. We watched dead and Co and it beat citifield hands down for ambience and access.
Clean, spacious, parking is good but too expensive $40.
Also, the food is expensive.
dont ever waste your money on lawn tickets. for just a little more you can get seats that are still affordable but waaayyy better. Stupid that they would even sell tickets to a spot that bad.
Only real complaint is that smoking is allowed on the lawn.
Nice venue with great lawn view, but there are not nearly enough port-a-johns. People were peeing right along the back fence. If you needed to pee, you were waiting 20 to 30 minutes. The men were doing two at a time in the port-a-johns. Disgusting. Very disappointed with this venue.
Staff was accommodating! Saw my BG! Fantastic seats
Awesome atmosphere, but concessions are way overpriced
Nowhere to park, slow and inefficient security, overcrowded lawn. I've been to some great concert venues, this definitely isn't one of them
Good acoustics in the venue. Pavilion seats are ideal for inclement weather, but a fun time can still be had on the lawn. Shorter season due to New England weather. Could use updated screens.
Loved the concert but handicap parking was further away the other parking lots
We are from out of state and this was our first visit. We upgraded lawn seats, not really knowing what to expect. It was fantastic! Lawn chairs are provided with the upgraded lawn tickets. We had a bit of a snag when checking in for this, but they were fantastic and had me sign into my Ticketmaster and scanned what they needed to get us moving along. Really liked the venue! I would travel to see shows here again!
Awesome theatre! Drinks are expensive but that's expected
Overpriced everything, wouldn't turn off the ads in the field during the shows. Extreamly disappointed.
I was at the Xfinity Theatre for the Return of the Dreads Concert Featuring Rob Zombie & Korn and special guest In This Moment. The concert was as incredible as you would expect from Rob Zombie. I am not a huge Korn fan but the Jonathan and the guys were completely over the top! I have to qualify my opinion of Korn to be that I like Korn's music but when you put that together with their live show it brings it to another level all together. Maria Brink and In This Moment have a live show that has to be experienced in person to get the full effect. These three acts perfectly complimented eachother. The venue was good and the staff kept things under control and people where they should be. The concession prices were rediculous as they are at any venue so I guess I should not complain because I knew that going in.
Great concert! Wish there were people directing traffic coming through and out of the lots at the end of the night
Over crowded to a dangerous point. Concessions were way over priced. Security was organized and nice.
Shows are great here, seats are fair priced, only issue is if weather is bad you might get wet on the lawn seats.
Great place to see a show. Not much in the way of food choices. Getting in and out of can be a bit tricky. Right off the downtown.
Way too crowded and oversold for Farm Aid 2018. Have no idea what they were thinking. The situation was tense and dangerous. Will never go back again.
Went there for a consert and it is very fun and is a good place to go with friends.
I love every show I've been to see. Always a good time. Fun and safe.
If you get there early enough before a concert you can go and buy food and drinks with no wait, was a great time overall
Extremely good sound. And even the lawn is a preferable place to sit. The audio on the lawn is fantastic, and with three huge top quality LCD displays, you can always see the action.
And we loved the more open feel than regular seating.
No matter where u are seated at this theater you will have an amazing time
Awful no type of security under age drinking and smoking of marijuana. Bottles and cans being launched in the air.
Very good venue for concerts, beer very expensive, cheap lawn tickets
Considering it was almost 100 degrees it was quite an enjoyable concert
Nice place only thing would be better if they sold actual good on top of the lawn more varieties, also chair rental info would have been nice found out about it after the show
Saw Blink 182 here Sept 2016, it was fire! Awesome performance, fans are great, staff was chill. Food was OK, drinks expensive!! Will be back tho! Nightmare leaving at the end Lol
I went to my first concert here and it was amazing. Even though if you don't have premier parking you have a long way to walk, the experience overall make up for it. Plenty of food and drink options, and a ton of seats. So there's a better chance that the show you want to go to won't be sold out.
Overall good venue for big shows. Lots of lawn space and staff is very friendly and helpful.
Good place to see a concert! Parking is a bit of an issue, though!
