Good place when it's not busy! Kids arent well supervised on playground

Pretty cool little walk through zoo. The kids loved stopping by while we visited the park and pool. It's not huge but it's super cute. Well kept.

This is a great local zoo with a good variety of well-cared-for animals. You can easily visit the entire zoo in an hour or spend the whole afternoon. It's entirely free and a wonderful place to visit when looking for something to do on a summer day!

This is a beautiful park. Lots for kids to do. Pretty flowers and lots of recent upgrades.

This is probably the best free zoo you will ever find. A diverse collection of animals and some really nice exhibits. We go once a year, and plan a day around it.

Great park! Free zoo that has just enough animals to satisfy an hour or two worth of walking around. The butterfly tent exhibit is my favorite. Wallabys, emus, eagles, chickens, goats, river otters, and more! The educational presentations are nice too. I also appreciate how clean everything is! It's beautifully landscaped, with no trash in sight anywhere. Playground equipment is meticulously maintained and looks new. The train ride is a great deal at only $2 per person. My only complaints are the children's rides are sketchy looking and completely metal, so they're super hot in the summer sun... Ouch. Also, the shelter houses are looking a little rough. Maybe invest in some (rubber?) coated, steel frame picnic tables of some sort? Otherwise, the park is one of our favorite, weekly spots!

Omg I love the people that work there, they are nice. I also loved going there, because I have never seen some animals so close to me. I had a very awesome experience visiting this place!

Small, but great for the Lafayette community. Amazing for a smaller community. Great adventure for an afternoon. Great place for kids and families.

I think it needs to be more up-to-date than what it is. really not much for order kids to do all for little kids

Love, love, love Columbian Park!! Literally in the summer it's a one-stop shop of awesomeness. Free park and zoo! Plus swimming, Arni's, and Custard. I mean, what more could you want? Oh, a baseball game? They have that, too! So, so much fun!!

So many great things have been removed such as the original huge round pool and where is the antique merry go round. So sad

A good little FREE zoo with a beautiful park and playground attached.

I LOVE this free zoo! It's small, shaded and walkable. It's in Columbia Park, which is a big park with LOTS of play equipment and even some rides for kids The swimming pool next to it is only $7 per person and had several slides, lazy river, and a kid area.

Columbian Park has been an icon in the Lafayette area for many years. Famous for their zoo, and water park it continues to attract crowds of people in the summer. A brand new baseball stadium is going is to be constructed soon which always draws plenty of spectators. Their picnic areas are top-notch, able to accommodate the largest gathering with their large gazebos and multiple outdoor grills provided by the parks and rec Dept. Beautiful layout.
Also, it has a large pond that you can actually fish in for free, without being lisenced. Expect to catch something if you do fish. Has its very own ampitheator for the music lovers. And finally, a war memorial honoring those from Tippecanoe county who served our great country in combat.

Love this place, u could go once a week or every day, and see something different. Not alot of animals but its a clean frendly place, wheelchair friendly too

Free parking, free admission. Employees very engaging of guests. Not a huge zoo but enough to keep the kids busy and entertained. Can't go wrong with a visit here. Will definitely visit again.

Small zoo with a few exhibits. There are cool exhibits for the prairie dogs and otter. Walking with the wallabys was a good one too.

The butterfly garden, and upcoming Penguin exhibit are free and the kids love it.

They are a good place to take the kids to play, have a gathering or picnic. Their prices are reasonable also.

A nice community park. I don't agree with the conservative age range recommendations placed on play equipment but they're just recommendations and there is plenty of equipment.

It's a great place just no authority on the people in it some people just don't control their kids so makes it hard to enjoy it at times

Fun experience, impressive zoo for being free. Train ride was fun, worth the price. Great playground equipment as well.

A great facility for young kids. The many upgrades over the years has really paid off. We look forward to seeing the future expansions.

Perfect if you have small kids not huge but enough for younger kids to enjoy themselves and free was worth it I will absolutely take my kids back the staff were amazing

A favorite spot for mywife and I, they could use some paddle boats, or swans for the lake, a concession stand, and more animals for the zoo it looks depleted. Those are not complaintsjust ideas for improvement.
