What a disappointment it was this morning to see that Joe Kernan had returned. Was hoping CNBC had replaced him. He pontificates, interrupts guests and fellow moderators in order to give his opinion, and is rude.

I have been an avid fan of CNBC business news for decades. I respected this network because in spite of the fact that their parent company is extremely left they have managed to resist politics and stick to business. Lately I see the left political agenda creeping in through hosts comments and liberal guests that spew their political agenda that has nothing to do with business. I have other options to view business news. CNBC needs to focus on business and less on politics.

High points: Sorkin and Leesman, most guests good, some guests are excellent. Broad-ranging info is provided both on markets and investing - most of former more useful than latter, but that is how it is on Wall Street.

Low points: Joe Kernen: "no regulations are good, all politicians are incompetent except maybe certain ones who know business", etc. etc. Any government intervention is socialism, of course, for Kernen. Everyone would be rich except the lazy people, if the government would only get out of the way of free enterprise, unfettered concentration of capital, and unlimited executive compensation blah blah blah. Kernen is stuck in this black and white world of the Bush era, bewildered at the realities of the present and stuck in a republican rhetoric that is rapidly becoming a shrinking voice except in his own brain. He needs to be back-burnered.

CNBC needs sound reporting, not Kernen's reflex politics. I would take Sorkin as lead any day, as a sound, balanced lead, or Becky Quick or Leesman. I turn CNBC off when Kernen starts up. I would watch twice as much CNBC without Kernen, and I believe that is true for a growing number of viewers.

My review is based solely on Joe Kernan. I am so disgusted with his rudeness, sports talk, inside "jokes" and the horrible way he treats Andrew. I don't understand how Andrew can stand it---HE should be the main reporter on the show. He has couth ( defined as cultured, refined, and well mannered.) Please, please get rid of Joe. Retire him and let someone who has couth replace him. He has overstayed his welcome. By the way, he's been on vacation this week and it has been the BEST week of Squawk Box in a long, long time. I've actually watched and enjoyed it this week. Joe takes the definition of squawk,
(a loud, harsh, or discordant noise made by a bird or a person) and
goes for the harsh and discordant part to the fullest. If I turn on the tv before 9 am I go elsewhere. 3.6.19

After the one sided comedy called a debate last evening I will NEVER again watch a Comcast -NBC owned channel. Your moderators especially the liberal hack Hardwood were nothing short of deplorable. In fact, they SUCKED and Hardwood LIED!
A presidential debate with questions on your favorite app and Internet fantasy gaming sites is laughable at best.
Your moderators and your CEO owes the educated American public an apology.

I used to love the market coverage in the morning, but now all they are concerned with is boosting up anybody but Trump. I used to not like Trump but now after listening to Cramer and the other pun-dents my vote is for him now and also don't care to watch your show. If you would just stick to the economy and the stock market I think you might just be successful.

Joe Kernen, Larry Kudlow, Rick Santelli, Michelle Caruso Cabrera, and the rest of those clowns constantly bashing Democrats, after the economy recovered from the biggest recession since the great depression, it's like you're watching fox news sometimes, this is supposed to be a "business channel", not republican party promotion, where were the comments from these clowns during the Bush economic disaster? Or republican obstruction to jobs bill to spite Obama (harming millions and making the recovery take longer)?

The public needs access to the IQ 100 index. I've read the whitepaper on the methodology deployed by M-CAM and it's what I've been looking for when it comes to a rules-based strategy that provides exposure based on qualitative factors that are unstructured and therefore hard to measure without the right data.

Fox Business surges in ratings competition with CNBC

Associated Press
DAVID BAUDER
Associated PressFebruary 28, 2017
NEW YORK (AP) Fox Business Network topped CNBC in viewership during the business day for the fifth consecutive month, an illustration of dramatic growth at an upstart network that began operation a decade ago.

FBN averaged 218,000 viewers during the hours between 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. in February, an increase of 59 percent over February 2016. CNBC, meanwhile, dropped from 212,000 to 182,000 in the same measurement, Nielsen Media Research said.

That's a startling change for a marketplace where CNBC was once considered the unquestioned leader. But CNBC has suggested those raw numbers are deceptive: the network stopped using Nielsen as a basis for advertising sales two years ago because the service did not measure viewership in offices or anyplace out of the home, and also short-changed its count of wealthier viewers that CNBC targets. Nielsen says it will begin counting out-of-home viewership starting in April.

Fox Business Network traces its surge to a decision in 2015 to load its daytime lineup with more of its most prominent hosts: Maria Bartiromo, Stuart Varney, Neil Cavuto, Trish Regan and Liz Claman all CNBC alumni. The network also takes a broader view of business news than its competitors; during Regan's show on Tuesday, most of the talk was political, discussing President Donald Trump's upcoming speech before Congress.

"We get that link between Wall Street and Main Street but, more importantly, to K Street," said Cavuto, also the network's senior vice president and managing editor, referencing the Washington, D.C. address of many lobbyists.

Trump's election, and the recent stock market surge, have been tailor-made for Fox Business, he said.

There's some question about whether Fox Business Network's rise is at the expense of CNBC. Of the 4.5 million people who have watched at least one hour of Fox Business Network this year so far, 83 percent have also watched at least an hour of Fox News Channel, Nielsen said. Meanwhile, only 10 percent of those viewers said they watched at least an hour of CNBC.

Meanwhile, the Academy Awards broadcast drew 32.9 million viewers for ABC. While it was the smallest Oscars audience since 2008, the show was the most-watched entertainment program on television since last year's Academy Awards ceremony.

Led by the Oscars, ABC won the week with an 8.9 million viewer average. CBS averaged 6.8 million viewers, NBC had 4.3 million, Fox had 2.9 million, Univision had 2.1 million, Telemundo had 1.46 million, the CW had 1.45 million and ION Television had 1.3 million.

Fox News Channel was the week's most popular cable network, averaging 2.62 million viewers. HGTV had 1.59 million, History had 1.55 million, TBS had 1.54 million and USA had 1.535 million.

NBC's "Nightly News" topped the evening newscasts with an average of 8.6 million viewers. ABC's "World News Tonight" was second with 8.4 million and the "CBS Evening News" had 7 million viewers.

For the week of Feb. 20-26, the top 10 shows, their networks and viewerships: Academy Awards, ABC, 32.94 million; "Live From the Red Carpet" (8 to 8:30 p.m.), ABC, 20.89 million; "Live From the Red Carpet" (7:30 to 8 p.m.), ABC, 15.28 million; "NCIS," CBS, 14.87 million; "The Big Bang Theory," CBS, 13.38 million; "Live From the Red Carpet" (7 to 7:30 p.m.), 11.46 million; "Bull," CBS, 10.67 million; "The Walking Dead," AMC, 10.42 million; "NCIS: New Orleans," CBS, 9.58 million; "This is Us," NBC, 9.37 million.

While there are certainly good, honest and fair people doing the broadcasts, the question is why would you bring on esteemed guests, only to insult them and have their feet to the fire, for no objective reasoning? I am referring to the young folks that are given prime time slots. Treat the guests like the experts they are and stop the interrogation. You sound like you are reading off a script. Watch Liz Claman to learn.

Over 1 yr later & my review has proven to be RIGHT...

Over 1 yr later & my review has proven to be RIGHT while the truth about the Biased Manipulative Lying Media continues come out!

Is not the news supposed to be unbiased? Why does MSNBC, NBC, CNBC continue to paint Trump in the worse light ever?

I truly believe his intentions are in the best interest of all Americans! HE WILL NOT ACCEPT FAILURE as an option during his presidency and HE WILL DO WHAT HE SAYS HE WILL DO!

To accomplish this he needs not be a lifelong politician! Trump has proven he is a Successful Great Leader who knows how to surround himself with the best qualified advisers!

In light of all that, I am so tired of hearing that Trump has no government experience! I would like to know what government experience Mr. Community Organizer Obama; had when his full of lies rhetoric and the biased media convinced millions of uninformed Americans to vote for him to become our President?

He must go down in history as the Worst US President ever and it has NOTHING to do with racism! I was and still am fine with having a White, Black, Hispanic, Asian President; race should never be an issue if they are an American born, person of Integrity, that want the best for our Country!

But that was never Obama's MO! Boy did he ever do a number to our Country! In the last seven years he has managed to catapult us right back to the 60's! This country hasn't been as UN-unified since that era and it is all because of the Obama/Clinton Administration!

Not to mention that from day one he was and has been hell bent on destroying our Countries Constitution! Why is it that the media does not inform his followers of the truth regarding his Anti-American, Pro-Muslim/Fascist/Socialism Agenda?

Why hasn't the media ever made a big hoopla about any of the facts mention, which have been such obvious RED FLAGS since before Obama took office?

And now they want to continue on the path of destruction with Clinton "Biggest Liar ever!" And you the media continue to pave that road for them? All it does is show informed Americans that the pyramid conspiracy that claims the media is in charge of blinding the little folk is all but so true! We can handle truth, why not give it a shot!

As a moderately conservative, middle aged, Independent Republican Hispanic woman I am all for a woman president, but not Clinton she would inherit the Worst Title and go on to be Worst Woman President Ever! She is completely incompetent to become our Commander and Chief at such a critical time in the history of the USA!

Why haven't you been reporting that Clinton and her husband have sold America away piece by piece to the highest bidders via the Clinton Foundation! The only thing they care about is lining their pockets! She should be in a courtroom being held accountable for many security breaches, but instead she is being protected by our current incompetent Administration and treading the road to try to become our next President?

All with the biased media blessing and assistance! And who is the alternative to Clinton a Socialist/Communist on his last leg of life? REALLY?

I guess the saying has never been so true! "What the American people don't know is what makes them The American people ! I am, as I am sure many others are starting to feel ashamed to call myself an American! And I am considering taking residence in another Country if Clinton wins!

Enough is Enough! The people are speaking LOUDLY; thru Trumps Victories, but you don't seem to want to listen? The only question left is WHY?

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." Edmund Burke

We watch CNBC in our office, as do most viewers. We are constantly getting complaints from our employees and visiting clients at how loud the commercials and music are. When they go to commercials not only now do they jack the sound up for commercials but they've inserted LOUD music to remind us that they are coming. ATTENTION ADVERTISERS: because of the loudness of the music and commercials we MUTE IMMEDIATELY UPON THE MUSIC ALL COMMERCIALS so your message is not coming through as you have paid for. I also know a dozen or so OTHER companies who mute ALL of CNBC (all day long) because of the loud commercials...... GET IT TOGETHER CNBC, with out us your nothing! Isn't about time you listened?

I find it increasingly unpleasant to watch Joe Kernan. He is so full of himself. He politicizes everything and is outright rude to his colleagues. I don't know how they tolerate him. Just watched an exchange of opposing views among Michelle Caruso-Cabrera, Robert Reich & Larry Kudlow. We all know that both Michelle & Larry are conservatives & Robert is a liberal. But we thought that Michelle, in the position that she's in at CNBC, should still be respectful of anyone who has a different view than hers. Throughout the somewhat heated exchange, in addition to her sarcastic comments, her facial expressions showed so much disrespect to Robert Reich. Since she works for CNBC as a host/reporter, she should try to be more neutral and not raise her eyebrows & lose the smirk & snarky attitude that she clearly exhibited today. Very unprofessional. She's not on Fox News & maybe she should be!

We live in Cambodia but trade on the US market. Your show often provides valuable information from informed guests. Unhappily, when Joe Kernan comes on, we usually switch to B Berg. He is simply argumentative without being informed ..other then about basketball which is completely irrelevant to us. I have tried to laugh at his consistent offensiveness, but his relentless badgering of others is just plain embarrassing. I truly wish you could find a different show for him where his Don Rickles approach to anyone a little left of his views might fit in....because he really does ruin your Squawk show for me.

And to do this they tell you anything that will keep you tuned into their "station."

CNBC America is too full of punditry. This is a financial NEWS network. There are good reporters, but Cramer, Kernan, and Santelli personalities disproportionately push the venue into editorialism. Some of this, fine, but it's just constant. Rarely is it healthy debate born of substance. Fast Money was the only refuge from the nonsense, but even this is getting a little too hot blooded lately. How about you refocus on reporting, news, and helping us make informed decisions. Drop the politics and the fanatical positions on the Fed and the election please. Please remodel yourselves on the substance of SquawkBox Europe - yes there is banter, but it's never derisive, and please get FastMoney back on the rails.
