It's a good looking hotel, with young people working, extremely friendly and helpful and gently. They solve your questions, they give you information, they take care of you every second you need them. The hotel is quite near to city center, less than 15 min by bus. The area around it's quite industrial but it's extremely quite place. The room it's just perfect, clean and comfortable. They have an spa + a gym + a pool.= so you can just chill out in their good-looking hall, or make some sport or a massage. So the quality price relation is just perfect . So for me it's a ++ place to be here in Amsterdam. I hope you enjoy as my wife and me we did.

The reduced service property really left little to be desired in terms of amenities within the room. With a location distanced from city center on foot, this hotel is not for tourists looking for a whole day in Amsterdam. The good were the nice decor and relaxed vibe, plus the friendly staff.

Nice modern hotel in a relatively new neighborhood. My room had direct view to the water. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are some games in the foyer. Nearby there is a bus to the city center. There is a small pool and gym ...

Misplaced, Too far from everything, to an industrial port. To get there the taxi is expensive: 50 eur from the airport.
Home deplorable: no hello, do not willingly keep your bags while waiting for check-in).
Minimalist room (no storage, no phone so no contact with the reception, no mini bar no water bottle available, no safe, one cushion per person). Mal isolated, drill noise at 10:00.

Chic, trendy, and great facilities with ocean view. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Now all those aside, the rooms are subpar. There's a fishy smell in the bathroom and the room does not have a phone and mini fridge. The television channels never had signal, but it does allow you to stream videos from your phone. If you keep the window open, one or two fruitfly and mosquito will creep in. Overall it felt bit like a dormitory, with simplistic small bedroom and fun and elaborate community space. Would suggest for vacation visits.

Parking fees very high, shower unfortunately not clean at check-in

Luckily, it is a matter of taste if it should appear very modern through the half-puttied walls in the room.

No minibar and no closet where you can put your clothes!

Unfortunately, no toilet brush can be found in the toilet, this can lead to unpleasant situations.

I give 2 stars for the staff alone, as the service itself was quite good.

Next time another hotel will be visited.

Positive:

Positive:
Incredible gym
Great staff

Negatives:
Construction outside
Horrible dead fish smell at night
Minimalist rooms with no drawers or dressers
Flimsy building feels unfinished, shakes violently with wind
Keycards deactivate every few hours (no it wasn't demagnetized)
Pool is cold

Beautiful, cozy hotel. Not very convenient location in terms of walking availability. Five minutes there is a stop, from where you can get to the central station, and from there go anywhere in Amsterdam.
Inside is very cozy and pleasant, polite staff ready to help, from the fifth floor offers a beautiful view of the port area.

Staff very nice and courteous!

Staff very nice and courteous!

The location is interesting (near Haarlem Street) but in the evening I would recommend an UBER.

Hotel is clean and very relaxed, pool and sauna were always well maintained

Fancy new hotel for younger crowd. As a business visitor I didn't like it. Rooms are small, with absolutely no room to unpack your suitcase (no closet or even shelves). No desk to work from either. The hotel is so new that the restaurant isn't finished yet. The fact that younger crowd likes this place comes out at night, with a lot of noise from folks coming back to the hotel drunk after a night out. It doesn't help that all floors are connected with an atrium, through which the noise makes sure you wake up regardless of which floor you are on. For a weekend trip to Amsterdam I can see this place makes sense (although it is quite far from the center if you need to walk). However for business travelers I would recommend avoiding this hotel.

The view is nice, you need to mind that bus 48 will bring you from central station to it). Breakfast 10 , includes: ham, cheese, coffee, splendid tomatoes, yogurt, dried friuts&nuts, eggs, croissant. All what you need!

I can really recommend this hotel! I felt very comfortable since the personal was very friendly and helpful whenever I had a question. They also gave me advices when it came to restaurants or parking areas (for example). The hotel itself has a really pretty interior design/decor. Our room was super clean and cozy. The breakfast is not expensive and you have a big choice between different stuff. What I would recommend everyone is to rent a bike in the hotel (also not expensive), because it is very easy to visit everything in the city

Take the bus from Central Station for about 15 minutes to the terminal and then for 5 minutes. There is nothing to visit nearby, the location is relatively poor. It s really a magical hotel with a hair dryer, spare parts, carpet color matching, and a pink hotel! The spare parts are large cans, there are hand-washing milk, the same cans for washing hair and bathing, and the other can be moisturizing lotion. The TV can be connected to hdmi or directly projected with chromecast, which is a great thing for foreign travelers. The front desk staff is very energetic, and there is a welcoming sesame street super-large cookie that will be seated every day. As a member of the Marriott Platinum, the room was upgraded to a room type where the port was visible. The moment I entered the room, I was very touched by the window, but the room was not big. The surface of the glass is not easy to clean, and it looks like it will have traces. I don't want a welcome drink, I don't know what choices. I chose breakfast for the member gift, there are not many choices, but there is no problem with eating.

Nice apartments for sure! but! location far. Houthavens has NO!!! public transport at all. empty area no shops.. nothing...and is far..it's surrounded construction, You will need to add daily taxi to main road particularly at night. Taxi fare is 15 to centraal station takes 14 mins. One way Expensive!!!! UBER is 12 not cheap either.
Nice view of water, the Marriot apartments next door all new good standard. Informal nice place!!

Such a pity it has not public transport near.. a long walk down to main road and at night it's very lonely and dark and surrounded by empty building. You must pay taxi or have car. Major issue for those budgeting. The property needs a shuttle service bus for guests to late night it does not.

We had a beautiful view! The staff friendly and the breakfast delicious. However, with the regulation of the heat in the room, no closet, no toilet brush and beds that once left unmade left a slight negative connotation. The hotel itself has convinced by details.

Funky hotel with Marriott heritage. Location is a short distance out of centre and has fab views. Restaurant is a bit pretentious and doesn't match the cool friendly hotel theme, check the menu before you decide to eat there! The shared spaces are great and internet fast. Finally, wonderful friendly staff.

The hotel itself is chic and inexpensive, classic like all other Moxys.

Unfortunately there is a two star deduction due to location and staff.

The location is quite far from the center and the area is still developing.
The check in was quite bumpy and not very friendly. As a Bonvoy Platinum member, there was neither a nicer room nor an upgrade. The hotel doesn't seem fully booked.
In the shower, the hooks were torn off the door.
The roof top was locked during our stay.
Renting the bikes is quite expensive at 15 euros.

In itself a solid hotel with a few drawbacks and compared to other Moxys in the lower third.

Amazing staff and overall wonderful experience. The design of the Moxy is creative and unique to any other hotel I ve stayed in. The attention to detail and professionalism of the staff made my stay even more enjoyable. Will definitely be returning.

Budget hotel. Limited amenities. Disconnected from city. Will not recommend if travelling with kids, elderly or anyone with special needs. Good if you are looking for a cheap accommodation and are single.
Tip: shampoo, conditioner and hand wash were all incorrectly labelled. Not sure if they did it for fun or mistake by the person who refills them. Check before use.

It's an interesting place for me, not used to with a bare version of Marriott. It's practical, but I'm used to with full service Marriott. Restaurant, coffee machine and other amenities. Hotel location is out of the way from main terminal, 15 Min bus ride

Excellent price and accommodations with lots of amenities- gym, spa, 24-hour bar, grab'n'go food items, breakfast, great lounge with games, wall of special events, great views, fine dining restaurant and friendly staff.

Nice hotel but a bit far from the center. The entourage is not really worth a look. The pool and gym are very good. The staff seems competent but do not expect to have a presentation or document to let you know what to do in the city when you arrive.

I enjoyed the stay at this hotel. If you are going to go to the Theater Amsterdam (e.g. a conference), this is the perfect place to stay. The only downside for normal city tourists is probably the location.

My first and only Moxy so far and I absolutely loved the concept! The staff was amazing as well...young, and fun, and very kind. I was a little concerned about no phone in the room to call the front "bar," but soon forgot and went with the flow. Mingle!!

I am so sorry to start this off by saying I have forgotten his name, but the lovely receptionist R. who was part of the Residence Inn reception team before Covid, was the person who made all the difference in our stay. He was attentive, proactive and took generally great care of us while we were there over two days, and we will come back because of his great service!

The building itself: the views were pretty epic even if the location is a bit of a walk to city centre.

Very friendly staff. Every Moxy is a special experience ... This is equipped with a small swimming pool and sauna, which we unfortunately did not use due to lack of time. A bit far from the city center (about 40 minutes walk), but well equipped with bicycles to rent and with a bus station nearby.
+ Welcome cocktail as a reception
+ Great view
+ Well connected by public transport
+ Nice and friendly staff
+ Breakfast well adapted to corona measures
+ Super nice and interesting interior design

- a little far from the city center
- no toilet brush in the hotel

Definitely recommended. We will definitely be happy to come again.

Very nice hotel and the people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful.
Although the hotel is not directly in the city center, you can easily get there by bus.
I will definitely go there again when coming to Amsterdam.

Very nice hotel. Everything was present. There are also a lot of facilities in the hotel. But we could not enjoy it because of our short weekend. The staff was very friendly. The location was also okay, not too far from the center. But still in a quiet place. In the evening a very relaxing view of the water. Breakfast was also available. A positive experience! :) oh and on arrival received a very nice coctail!

Returning to the hotel was always a pleasure, from the scent (you can't understand if you don't go and hear it ..)

Lovely Hotel with trendy Design and friendly Staff. The Room was cozy with a comfortable Bed and great View to the Waterfront. They also have a Spa with Pool, Sauna and a Gym for free. The next Busstop is only 5 min walk away. So you can go the Amsterdam Centraal Station very quick and easy. I enjoyed my Stay and will definitly come back

The rooms are very nice and well equipped; the hotel has a swimming pool, sauna and a very good gym: it is very nice. However the location is far from the center: if we limit ourselves to public transport, we must walk a moment to reach a bus stop which will then take us to take another bus or tram.

Disappointing at best. Room was new but very bare bones, there wasn't even a chair (only beanbags). Bathroom was the same, dirty shower curtains and the soap in the shower was filled with sudsy water, not soap. No phone in the room so you have to go down to the front desk for any questions. Wifi was down for the entirety of my stay, which is kind of ridiculous for a hotel that must house a lot of tourists that rely on an internet connection to make plans. In my opinion, for a little extra money you can stay somewhere with much more to offer.

My friend who is an elite platnum member with marriot booked 4 nights at this hotel. Upon entering, the lobby is pretty and is kind of my style. The guy who checked us in was nice enough but i think hes never checked in an elite member before because he did not give a welcome drink or ask if my friend wanted points or a welcome snack. We soon left for dinner and when we got back we asked another guy and he said ya we should have gotten a welcome drink. After finishing this drink we ordered two beers from this one older black guy who was like maybe 50 and when ordering he just looked at us and said "ya", 7 mins later, still no drink with only one other person in the bar, we just ended up leaving and going back in the room. Ok lets talk about the room, we got two twin beds which if your american is more like half a twin, i almost fell off 3 times last night. The wall on top of our window is covered with stains and the window itself seems unfinished. There were only 2 hangers in the room with no closet. There is no phone in the room as well to call for housekeeping which if im paying around 160 euros a night is very weird. My friend was trying chat online with them two days before we got to the hotel to request harbor view and stil no one has responded, so we dont even know why they have that option of communication. Also we requested when we booked the room for exta pillows and extra towels but when entering only one pillow per bed and one one towel per person...do they even look at the daily reservations??.....anyway that was our first night here, just woke up and started writing this on the second day here.....3 more nights to go...hopefully this place does not lose more stars with me....also we noticed that the person checking in was the same petson tending the bar for the most part...seems like they have a bit of a staffing problem.

We stayed for one day.

We stayed for one day.
It was ok.
The staff at the reception was very nice.
The room was a little bit too small for us.
I had to leave my clothes in my bag because I couldn't put it somewhere else.
Fortunately, it was very clean.
We asked for a second blanket but they forgot to bring it.We had to ask a second time.
Organisation was not soo good.
We asked if we could go to the spa.
They gave us the card but it didn't work.
The second time it also didn't work.
After the fourth time of running from the reception to the spa...we finally got in.
The sauna was not good at all.
It was warm but not hot like a sauna should be.
I recommend this hotel to people who don't want to spend a lot of money and want to be quiet.
This area is really quiet.
Next to the hotel u can see the water and the ships. If u want to go to the centre u should go by bicycle.(15 Minutes)
Bring a phone with google maps/gps, this will be helpful.

Lovely hip bar to work or meet.

Looking forward to checking out the spa and discovering the rest of the place.
