A bit out of the way but there is a bus to the city centre every 15 minutes. Rooms are very comfortable, breakfast is extra and self service. Pool has a jet stream if you normally swim lengths. Complimentary cocktail when you check-in. Helpful friendly staff. Bikes for hire from reception. Luggage lockers available

Went there for a business trip with 3 other colleagues. The place is modern, sleek. Rooms were clean but I missed a closet (just some hanging points in your room). Breakfast is ok, nothing special but there should be something for everyone. The music during breakfast might be a little bit crowded / to upbeat.

Really nice modern and stylish Hotel. Quiet. Ideal for groups and couples alike. Nice little lobby bar/restaurant (though limited food)/ lounge. Fussball table and bar games. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean rooms and lobby. A little out of the way (15 in a Taxi from Centraal station) and not really within walking distance of anywhere. Very reasonable room prices for a 4-star... Expect to pay much more for a 2/3-star closer to the centre. Will definately use again when in Amsterdam.

Exciting for everyone who likes waterways, service with a bit of coronavirus, breakfast ok, parking ridiculously expensive - that has to be cheaper - parking: add 35 to the overnight stay

Great in one word! Marriott's newest brand is, the Moxy hotel is in a unique location. The focus of Moxy is on the traveler for whom only the essential is important and who understand that style can also be supplied attractively. For my husband and I - who like travelers a little more comfort - the Marriott Residence Inn Suites is an excellent alternative. The rooms are fully furnished, such as a kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, hob and "the icing on the cake" was a Nespresso coffee machine for me. We can look back on a very successful stay in an environment where the largest ships pass by.

The hotel is out on a limb, apart from a few high end restaurants for lunch and dinner there is no where to pop out for a nice brunch or coffee. I ended up having to jump in an Uber for 15 mins on a rainy day just for brunch. Better to be more central to get a better Amsterdam Vive.

POOR HYGIENE STANDARD - DO NOT STAY

We have been sleeping for 2 nights unknowingly under dirty sheets with our bodies touching dirty food stains including many bacteria. We feel super grossed out and did not expect this from a hotel that charges 150 euros a night.

we went to complain and he answer from the hotel was that they do their best to check every aspect of the room, "we spot check the full linen (completely deconstructing the bed) twice a day. We would love to do this with every room, but that would unfortunately be too time consuming."

appalling.

Great place for the money. Love the floor to ceiling windows. In a fast growing area. There were lots of tall buildings under construction while I was there. I like the view of ships passing. Convenient to a bus stop to Central Station. The decor is very hip and the only reason I didn't give It 5 Stars is because five star hotels have bigger rooms and full closets, etc.

Nice concept for young and those who feel young.

Nice concept for young and those who feel young.
Rooms and equipment are great, a closet or storage space I have missed. The front desk is very small in the morning for breakfast and checkout. The selection at the breakfast buffet is clear.

Still a work in progress. Modern, chic, compact rooms (no wardrobe, just a couple of hangers on hooks on the wall). High tech connectivity (built in HDMI and USB sockets, easy streaming of devices to the TV), and yet no telephone in the room! Bathroom clean and modern, but issues with hot water supply (hopefully just a teething problem). Not a place you'd come while on holiday, and yet no practical space to work either (no desk, and only bean bags for seating).
No tea or coffee making facilities, not even a fridge in the room.
Overall, it's somewhat confused, but will stay again.

Lovely modern hotel, comfortable beds. Friendly staff.
There does seem to be a design fault with the exterior, the hotel has metal cladding that turns into a very loud drum when it rains, very annoying.
One evening we were sat in the seating area near the bar and a mouse was running around, I went to tell the staff and she said yes we know someone told us this morning!!!

Such an innovative concept. The location is in an upcoming area about a 6 minute walk from the bus stop. Great staff very welcoming and there was even a cat in the lobby...lol. Special touch I've never witnessed before.

Funky new place at the best spot in the houthavens, allowing you for great views on the water and big boats passing by. The hotel is great if you are in Amsterdam for business in one of the nearby companies, less so for tourists without their own transportation. Parking garage is close by and the downstairs common space is multifunctional and even represents the industrial history of the area with containers built in. The staff is very inexperienced, don't expect miracles there.

Really nice hotel! I would definitely stay there again! Make sure to have time to explore the hotel, it's really bigger than you think, and also talk to the staff since they are really friendly and cool

Like a hipster's paradise, this place seems to have been Taylor made for the millennial-Gen Z generations. It's got a good atmosphere, a decent pool, fun drinks for the adults, and more. Honestly, I wish we had these back in the States.

Very nice and stylish hotel with flair and charm. The staff was nice and friendly and the welcome cocktail was also delicious. The swimming pool was not used by us, but was available. The breakfast was also quite good, my girlfriend liked it better than me. This is in the case of the selection of the surface, otherwise it was missing in nothing.

Great hotel and ambiance, with a cool staff! It is very well located, near to a bus station (c mom , it is just 5 minutes walking) and it is not so distant from the best attractions! In fact it took me 15 minutes to get on Anne Frank s house, which for me is a pretty decent time! Other than that the view is breathtaking!

Extremely modest location and lousy hotel.

Extremely modest location and lousy hotel.

This hotel is absolutely not recommended.
The location is very bad for a visit to Amsterdam. To get to the city center you definitely need a taxi.

But the hotel itself is even worse.
The rooms are extremely small and you can't open a suitcase here.
No possibility to prepare a coffee in the room, minibar not available and no drinking water there.
If you have problems you are pretty stupid, because there is no telephone in the room. Just a QR code that you can scan in with your smartphone and then chat with the service using the app.
Thank you very much.
Air conditioning didn't work either. After reporting a problem at the reception, we were informed that we were only serving it incorrectly. The employee came up to the room and was surprised that it didn't work for her either.
Opening the window was not an option either, as there was construction around the hotel, so there was no end to noise.
Relaxing in the room is also not an option, as the walls are so thin that you can hear every activity of the neighbors.
If you leave your room and let your door shut, you get the feeling that an earthquake has broken out. The entire bed vibrates and everything falls off the mini bedside table.

All in all, this supposedly hip design was completely used here.
Every penny is thrown out the window here.
And I write this here as a member of the Marriott Group with the highest customer status and ambassador service

The staff here were amazzing! Super accommodating. I love the vibe of the hotel, it's not your typical hotel but has more of a great friendly atmosphere. The view from my room was amazing ( of the harbor). Welcome drinks were a nice touch.

Very funky hotel aimed at a younger audience and in a good location which is a 15min bus ride to the city centre. (Bus 48) only thing I would have like is an outside pool but apart from that the staff are very friendly and helpful, the hotel rooms were very clean, our beds were done everyday and our towels were changed everyday too.

+ Modern and stylish furnishings

+ Modern and stylish furnishings
+ Good connection to public transport (bus)
+ Quiet location without the hustle and bustle of the city center
+ Very large and comfortable box spring bed
+ Very friendly staff, always helpful
+ Bicycles can be rented for 15 a day
+ Good breakfast for 10 p.p.
+ Big room
+ The foyer was beautifully and colorfully designed for Pride, and there were some promotions / specials

- The room was not 100% clean and towels were missing on the third day after cleaning
- The room was very minimalist (no safe, no minibar, only absolute basics in the bathroom, no toilet brush)
- Expensive parking - we recommend using P&R parking spaces
- Hardly any bars / restaurants / shops in the immediate vicinity / walking distance

This is the best hotel I have had in Amsterdam. I normally stay in the Bastion near the airport, not now, I will use this hotel. It's on the Amsterdam docks, so the views change daily. It's only a nine euro Uber to Amsterdam Centraal, so if there's four of you, cheaper than the bus.
Staff are welcoming and the 24hr bar is great to finish your night off with a nightcap.

I loved that you had two hotels in one. We were able to enjoy amenities from both and it was a great stay. There's a bus stop down the street if want to leave your car parked. And staff is amazing from both places!!

Loved this hotel! Location was absolutely incredible, right on the water! Vibe of the hotel was amazing and not a single complaint for the staff, they were amazing! Quick uber/taxi ride to everything; quiet location with great scenery. Will definitely be returning!

Hip hotel located in a future trendy location. It is still pretty industrial right now, but feels safe. The bus is fairly convenient, about 5 minute walk away. The hotel is always busy and could take a while to get any kind of service. The rooms are nicely appointed, and the bed is comfortable.

Nice modern building and rooms but the layout of reception and general lack of service was disappointing. The reception was combined with a bar which just felt odd and must have been a challenge for the staff also.

Let's be fair, the architecture is great, the lobby one of the coolest you will see and the location curious. Also, the distance from the city center pays off the the Uber/Taxi in the night rate. Nevertheless, it's a 3 stars hotel, and it shows it in the service. Staff doesn't move a needle to do more and amenities are non existent. I'm a Golf Member and asked for a toothbrush to buy for example, and no success. The hotel is combined with the Residence Inn, at least staff could have tried on the affiliated side, but again, 3 stars service.

Lovely hotel albeit in a bit secluded part of Amsterdam. Think hipster trend meet botanicals with smiling team as a cherry on the top. Oh and if you rock a tattoo, even better. The room we stayed in was spacious, the bath products smelled delicious. We were greeted with a welcome drink. The hotel provides all the usual modcoms you'd expect, gym, pool and free wi-fi. There are a few restaurants nearby which is handy as the hotel does not have a kitchen. The bar is excellent. Would come and stay again.

Hotel is very swanky and hip! We stayed here during pride weekend and it was decked out! Very cool. Breakfast was decent, with what we paid, but not amazing. Only thing is how far it is from the centre. Was my first time in Amsterdam, so would've preferred to be closer.

Nice chill out atmosphere in a cool modern design. The perfect place to relax thanks to an extra comfortable bed, silent room with great view to the arbour, well equiped gym with state of the art machines, nice cozy swimming pool and sauna.
The breakfast buffet is made of fresh products for all tastes.
Friendly personnel. Love it!!!

A nice hotel in a modern, youthful style.

A nice hotel in a modern, youthful style.
The lobby is very nice, newfangled and varied, as is the rest of the hotel.
The staff is very courteous and takes seriously the needs of the guests.
Breakfast in the morning was also good.
The connection to public transport was also very good. We only had to walk about 400 meters to the next bus stop.

Unfortunately we had absolute bad luck with the rooms!

In the first room on the day we arrived, the air conditioning didn't work. This was in the summer of 2018 when it was "a little" warmer. I went briefly to the reception, who then took care of us immediately, checked the air conditioning and immediately gave us a new room without any problems. The staff was really great!
Happy about the new room, we quickly moved and unfortunately had to find out that the room had not yet been cleaned. The bathroom had "signs of use" to put it nicely.
So back to the lobby and back to the reception.
This time, too, we were immediately given a new room. Great staff!
We knew that the hotel was not yet completely finished and that something needed to be improved here and there.
Unfortunately we moved the Zonk again with the next room. The room smelled funny and had damp walls.
Now I was almost a little embarrassed to go to the reception again, because on the first day you appear as a "bad guest" and complain about everything. This was also not a problem and we got a new room and a small upgrade, free cocktails and after more than 1 hour and several moves we were able to move into the final room.
Unfortunately there were no closets in the room and no toilet brush in the bathroom.
Still a nice hotel for young people.

It was a great hotel, nice amenities, comfortable and no extra things in the room. The only drawback is the location is a bit out of the way. The bus is not super convenient so we used Uber but that gets expensive. We walked a lot but crossing the main road was tricky. Fortunately the weather was good.

Very modern hotel and decoration very very nice, the guys who work there are very friendly and very polite and available in everything that is asked for, it has a small pool where you can spend a quiet afternoon ..... the only thing uncomfortable is that It is far from the center!

Great place to stay and great location. Hotel is about a15 minutes bus ride from Central Station. A short 7 minute walk from bus stop to hotel door. Our first experience with the Moxy brand. The hotel lobby is modern and industrial with a bar. Plenty of flexible seating for small groups and a food pantry for quick bites. Check in was fast and friendly. The room reflected the lobby in its modern approach and great views. Clean lines, comfortable bed and chair. The shower was large with an adjustable shower head. Will definitely stay here again on my return visit.

I was in this Hotel for the weekend. Some considerations to keep in mind.
1- it is very far from the center, it would not be a problem if you are on vacation, but having to go every day by car or public transport is really tedious.
2- The hotel does not have basic services such as roomservice, valetparking and others ...
3- parking is inside 36 euros per day and outside 27.
4- small rooms without wardrobes.
5- The guys who attend the hotel don't have the slightest idea of what a hotel service is .... good guys, but without any preparation.
6- That weekend, the sauna did not work, nor the showers and what was worse, being Saturday there was no one to attend the spa !!! Crazy....
7- Book 2 nights with breakfast included and when we checked in they informed us that it was not included ... ergo ... they robbed us!
8- That same Saturday the restaurant opened, we asked at the frontdesk to reserve and they answered that they did not know or could not make the reservation, what?
9- Something positive is that the hotel has a new concept, but its workers lack training.
Advice?
Go to another Hotel!
Greetings

A 2 dressed up as a 10. Gorgeous interior design and aesthetics, but the staff and rooms leave much to be desired. There was a massive party going on next door until 11pm and people hung around until 4am yelling and screaming all night. The pool closes at 9pm, and the sauna is broken. Our room keys stopped working for our room 3 times, and it took 4 visits to the concierge to remedy the situation. The room keys didnt work for the pool and it took 3 visits to concierge to remedy. There was a man smoking cannabis inside the bathroom inside the lobby at 10pm one night. This is easily the worst hotel experience I have ever had with the Marriot.

Amazing view from the room, and nice decoration however no wardrobe or compartments to place personal items or hang clothes which was really unpleasant as I had a big suitcase full of clothes. The location is near an industrial area but it is nice and quite, it s hard to get to Amsterdam central from the hotel unless you re driving or getting uber.
