Imagine you make reservations at a restaurant for ...

Imagine you make reservations at a restaurant for 8. You all get your food and start eating. Then suddenly the staff comes over and splits your group in half and puts you on opposite sides of the establishment because it will be "faster". Oh by the way you already paid, there's no refunds, and if you even try to speak to your other party you get harassed by the staff.

That's exactly what happened to us, except we were golfing. Staff knew ahead of time there was going to be 8 of us and no mention of us not being able to play together until they had our money.

The way they handle themselves is ridiculous, and the fact they have someone that wasn't even present on here shilling for them says a lot more about their integrity than any review could.

"Thank you Hannah!"

Oak Hill Golf Club is a beautiful mature 18 hole golf course of rolling hills weaving their way through large groves of mature oaks and tall pines. The course is in great shape this year. My golf game, however, could use some improvement. That's why I enjoy their great 19th hole. JW

Praise to Oak Hill and their staff for their professionalism and integrity. Three reviews left (from the same group of seven) bashed this course. Their comments are absurd and untrue.

One of Oak Hill's best qualities is that they keep their customers happy and keep the pace of play fair. They do not allow groups of seven to play together and hold up the course. They keep this rule of four golfers fair across all players. I admire this consistency, as it keeps us respectable players satisfied and coming back.

Nothing but good things to say here. Great course. Great staff. Great food. Those that do not understand the rules of golf and golf courses will unfortunately not be satisfied when the rules are enforced.

Golfed here a few times but today is the last time...

Golfed here a few times but today is the last time. Called to reserve tee time for 7 golfers and 1 rider, no problem. At the counter 7 golfers 1 rider, 4 carts plus a TON of beverages, no problem, "biggest sale of the day." Course Marshal even handed us the cart keys.

We start golfing and around hole 3 the Marshal told us we couldn't all 7 play together and needed to split up because of "perception," sucks but we did it. Then around hole 5 he told us we we're slow and had to let 2 groups play thru, which fine cuz we are just there having fun and are not good at golf. We continue to play and to speed things up a bit we started playing best ball and played into our 1st group as we were being pushed again. Hole 7 he tells us to split up again, which we were playing separate just playing into our 1st group as to speed up. He continued watch us the rest of the time we were there, as if he didn't have 17 other holes to watch.

On hole 11 we had no one behind us so we merged our groups again. By the end of hole 11 here comes the Marshal saying "what's your plan, you think you can just make your own rules" and started an argument with our group leader, literally saying to her "why do you not want to argue." So we said we're leaving, packed up, went up to turn our carts in and she went in to speak to the owner. She didn't get one word in and he was screaming at her saying "you were warned two times to not play together." We won't be back. "Good."

Between never being told to play separately on the phone or at the desk, being harassed every 3 holes, being watched like deviants the entire time, being pushed, not being able to actually play and enjoy a game of golf, and to top it off being treated horribly at the end we will NEVER be back.

Any course that allows a group of 8 golfers is not...

Any course that allows a group of 8 golfers is not a golf course. I highly doubt anyone in the clubhouse agreed upon this. It's the rangers job to make sure the pace of play is enjoyable to everyone on the course. This course is a very popular course in the area because of the price and the quality. If the weather conditions are favorable, it's usually busy from Sunrise to Sunset. The new norm for golfers expects an 18 hole round to be completed in 4 hours. Which is not sustainable with a group of 8 even if everyone in the group is a 2 handicap. Nobody wants to be stuck behind a group of 8 and play a 6 1/2+ hour round. The rangers do not say much if pace is being kept. If he told the group of 8 to split into 2-groups of four, that is a reasonable request and those who made the choice to not abide by the terms is at fault and should expect to have consequences or an irritated ranger. I know all the rangers and they are all very nice and reasonable. I find the negative comments hard to believe and more then likely are highly fabricated.

Oak Hill is a very golfer friendly course but yet is still challenging! One of my favorite courses in the area and reasonably priced. Most of the fairways are tree lined yet wide enough that you don't feel intimidated. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. This is a course that golfers of all skill levels will truly enjoy!

Oak Hill is my favorite course in the area. Clubhouse is nice, course is well-kept and staff was very accommodating to my off the wall questions. The course has some challenging holes and is suitable for all levels which makes it nice when I golf with various groups. Until the next time...

Marshall just stalked us the whole time only ones on the course said we played to slow which would be a problem if it was packed but I brought 3 friends with who have never golfed before let a couple play through us. Just left after hole 11 when he said we needed to pick up the pace for the 8th time

I golfed here Sunday morning July 28 and was blown away. The greens and fairways are very well maintained - especially for the price. I came here after I saw the billboard on TH10.

Staff was very nice and helpful.

I would have easily paid $60-75 for a course on par with this one in the cities. It s worth the drive from the cities.

Excellent value for an outstanding golf experience. Oak Hill is a scenic and well manicured course. I found all of the staff friendly and eager to please. The pace of play was excellent. I would place Oak Hill on my top 10 list of Minnesota golf courses to play. I look forward to playing their this season.
