I bought 2 pairs of shoes, Foxboro Walk in tan & navy, while on vacation at an outlet store in Tannersville, PA. The shoes fell apart after wearing them only 3 times. The shoes look great when we bought them, but obviously the quality is not good. This is the first time we bought a Clarks shoe in about 40 years, it will be the last time we buy a Clarks shoe ever again.
PS the shoes were $89.99 each, not like we bought the cheapest pair of shoe in the market.

Clark's deserves a prize for designing the very best sporty sandal for women over 50 - called the Alto Madi Wedge. Clever velcro straps provides solid support for back heel and high arch; the heel is only a blessed 2 inches and easily survives a summer of pounding the streets in NYC. Even my podiatrist gave it a thumbs up - impressed by its design and common sense height. Alas: it's so in demand I can't find it - I spent hours this week combing the Clark's site, DSW, Amazon, Zippo, Ebay - it's all sold out! Further, an easy 40 on the Ebay wait list! How can women of a certain age - with some consumer clout - appeal to the design staff at Clark's - to see how they can profit by seasonal reissue of this brilliantly designed sandal? Could there be a Prince Charming in the Corporate MA office willing to carry the message to the boss? I do hope you read these posts and study the on-line sales. Make my dream come true!

My Clarks shoes exploded on a walk in one hour! Clarks says I am experiencing hydro rubber syndrome and it's my fault. Apparently I haven't walked in them enough to avoid the exploding rubber/sole of destruction. My complaint is exactly the same: I haven't walked enough in these shoes to wear them out, and they have EXPLODED on me prematurely! I've been jerked around by at least 4 different CSRs, and Clarks insists that I spend MY money to address their defective rubber/construction problem! Apparently Clarks is no longer standing behind their product so purchase accordingly. Bass, Born, Rockport, Merrill, Red Wing, Vasque, LLBean, Frye Boot and Wolverine have ALL stood behind their product in similar situations. They will continue to get my business in the future.

I recently went into a Clarks store #582 in Glendale, AZ and experienced the worst customer service i have ever experienced. The shoes in the front window said "two pairs for $99.00-select styles available" the display featured 4 colors of one style of Clarks slip-on shoes for men. It didnt say "only for select colors in one style." it said select styles. I went in and the salesperson helped me, I asked which shoes and she showed me the shows on sale. The sale table only had one color of shoe, not the 4 colors in the window display. I asked and the sales person said "other colors are available on this other table" I picked out 2 pairs and went to pay and the sales person immediately told me the colors i picked were not part of the ones on sale, even though they were the same style. I asked why and her response was "because thats what they told me" if you want the shoes on sale pick from this table only, began to argue with me and walked away abruptly. I said "this is the worst customer service Ive ever encountered. she ignored me again. The thing is, if she had just said "look, im sorry if i gave you the wrong information, this is policy and this is why" i would have bought the 2 pairs at full price without question.
Instead myself and 4 others with me left the store as they snickered and I am putting this on facebook and twitter tomorrow.
Terrible experience.

Quality of the product is getting cheaper. Outer soles and leathers are cheaper. Innersoles keep peeling up and falling apart. Stitching seems show threading and easily pull. Products are build for margin now and not for quality. Look elsewhere.

The quality has declined and the customer service ...

The quality has declined and the customer service is abysmal.
The shoes used to last for 10 years, easy. Now expect no more than two - just like bargain brands. Clark's used to stand for quality, so this is extremely disappointing. No, the prices have not done down, just the quality.

If you have a problem with an online order, you will not receive an email response to inquiries. Call the "customer service number" and the hold message says they cannot change online orders by phone. So basically, you cannot get any help online at all.

But my order never arrived, and THREE emails were ignored, so I had to call. The woman I spoke with was unprofessional (she answered the phone like she was talking personal friend, not a business customer). When I tried to get tracking information, she sounded highly confused and read me a script that did not help or solve my issue at all.

I am forced to charge this order back through my bank.

I'm done. Clark's has lost a long term customer.

I AM RATING THE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I AM RATING THE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I bought a shoe in your Chandler Fashion Mall, AZ location. Didn't have the size of shoe that I really wanted. Went and looked at other store. Samantha, my saleslady she offered me the shoe I like to be delivered at my house in 7 days. I said, I NEED IT TONIGHT!. I left and looked at other stores. I came back half hour later and settled on my 2nd choice because I NEED THE SHOE TONIGHT! Paid for it, went home, and as I got ready for the event, found out it was THE WRONG SIZE!!!!!. I called, told 2 ladies at the store of their mistake. I asked to get compensation for gasoline and time crunched BUT they said bluntly NO! I said even for an extra punch in my card because I shop at clarks many time. Samantha still save NO! My family of 5 bought shoes at your 2 lacations many time in the last 3 years. I work in customer service, and my company always offer something or discount for next visit for the inconvenience ESPECIALLY this case is your employees complete mistake. IS THIS THE WAY YOU TREAT LOYAL CUSTOMER??????

12 days ago I ordered a pair of shoes online. I received an email confirming that the order went through. It said that they would be shipped in 5-8 business days. Again this was twelve days ago. I ordered these shoes a month before I need them. I have repeatedly emailed and waited on hold to ask about my order. No answer via email or telephone. TERRIBLE "customer service". I'd give less stars if possible.
UPDATE: I have since found out that my order was cancelled without my day so. I was not notified of this but rather finally able to check my order status online. This is extremely rude and unprofessionl. I needed those shoes but a certain date and now do not have time to order another pair. This is possibly the worst service I have ever experience. Clark's could at the very least have told me my order was being cancelled and why.

I saved up and brought a so called "leather" purse. The purse is peeling at the handle and trimmings which make it not a leather purse like the sales person has indicated that it was ALL LEATHER. This happened a few months after I brought it!
I have contacted both USA and UK headquarters and they keep giving me the run-around. I've written letters...no response! Customer service had me on hold for 45 min twice!
I went to the BBB and they refuse to answer the letter of complaint. I even open up a Twitter account reach out to them to get some resolution and all they do is give em the run around. This has been going on for about 5 months now...
I've buying products from them since 1996 and Never will I spend my hard-earned money on OVER PRICE-So-called Quality products from this company...
I think they think they are too BIG now and they do not have to put out quality products...They think they can ride on their yesteryear name with cheap material and customer is going to buy because of their old name...
Well guess what? Clarks have lots of angry customers and complaints and hopefully will soon be out of business. You can never get TOO BIG and scam the customers!

Shared from email sent to Clark'sUSA customer serv...

Shared from email sent to Clark'sUSA customer service on May 14th 2018:

Hello,

I am simply trying to get someone to help me get a refund for an order that i have never received.

I ordered two pairs of shoes 4/14/2018 and paid with my Master Card.

The items were shipped via UPS but for an unknown reason could/would not be delivered to my PO Box.

I tried to contact UPS but could not find any way to email or call them. I even downloaded their app. They simply notified me that an action was required nothing more!

I am retired and live on a sailboat where we have no street address or mail box. It is common practice for fellow boaters to utilize a post office box for mail and small packages. Indeed, I have been receiving letters, packages big and small.

I also suffer from Parkinson's Disease which limits my mobility. I don't drive. And it would require a cab ride both ways to pickup the items from UPS.

So, i called into Clark'sUSA for assistance on this impasse. The woman answering the Customer Assistance line was very courteous and seemed to immediately grasp my dilemma and suggested that the shoes be sent immediately by USPS and the original shipment would be recalled and put back in stock.

I was very pleased with the ease in which the representative seemed to facilitate the resolution.

But after a week, i received no follow up email with new tracking number or confirmation of items sent now via USPS.

I have been calling almost daily for a week now and never getting through. The hold times have exceeded 45 minutes with repeated assurances from an automated voice instruction stating that all reps were busy helping other Customers and after a brief hold my call would be answered.

That never happened no matter how often or when i called, or how long i waited on hold. I am only guessing, but i believe that i have been on hold for this issue on several calls for a total amount of more than 3 hours. What a joke!

I even got a stupid email from Ari stating"It looks like we're having the same problem with UPS"!

WHERE IS THE OVERSIGHT?

WHERE IS MY ORDER?

It has been so long since I ordered the shoes that I think they have gone out of style!

Seriously, the order was placed April 14, 2018 and it is going on May 15th now. When I ordered the shoes I was thinking of all of the slick assurances posted all over the Clark'sUSA website emphasizing excellent service and easy return policies. In my experience, such care and attention has yet to be seen.

At this time, with this writing, please be advised that I am submitting written notification of a demand for refund of the amount paid in full with out offset. Such demand is for immediate refund to the card used for the purchase in the amount of $372.30

All rights reserved.

Sincerely,

John W

I am really shocked. I bought two pairs of Clarks Springers two and a half years ago. One pair, in brown, I had hardly worn; sort of forgot about them. Started wearing them a couple if weeks ago. Amazingly comfortable BUT the soles, which look like rubber but are probably plastic, FELL APART after five or six. First they cracked and then all bits and pieces came off. Have to be tossed. ABSURD!
