Great starting point for exploring Dublin and it's...

Great starting point for exploring Dublin and it's easy to reach from the airport (by airport bus around 20-30 minutes tops).
The breakfast area is very pretty and you have a variety of cold and hot foods to choose from. There's also hot porridge with side toppings and several kinds of Cornflakes. Next to milk you can also get milk substitutes such as soy. They even had a fully automatic pancake machine which seemed to intimidate everyone though, since I never saw anyone use it.
The hotel itself is beautiful and modern. The rooms are held in dark brown tones with Moody lighting. Our room had a small Nespresso machine with around three pads and a bunch of tiny milk bags. Our unit was leaking if you put too much water in it though so look out for that. Other guests mustn't have noticed since the wood at the spot where the machine stood was a bit riddled with old swollen stains caused by spillage.

Anyway to get back on track. The whole experience was very nice, the bed was comfy and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only small thing that I'd have to point out is that the in our room at least wasn't great. We looked at the back area of some building. Also after breakfast we put out the sign for a clean room before going on a three to four hour exploration tour and when we came back the room still wasn't made. I was a bit surprised since they were already half down the hall when we left and the rooms aren't that big. Other than that I can completely recommend the hotel if you want to spend a bit more on your hotel.

Excellent location, very pleasant staff, very generous and varied breakfasts Comfortable and well-kept rooms, very good equipment.
Gym, elegant bar open until midnight / 1am in the evening.
Seen on the canal and the completely renovated dock area. Multiple shops and ultra center accessible on foot or by bus (several lines just in front of the hotel).
Direct access to the airport in 20/30 minutes

Stolen Items from my room.

Stolen Items from my room.

I had a very expensive rain jacket stolen from my room.
I understand that sometimes things happen, but I would never recommend this hotel due to the way they handled this issue. I was told that my item would be replaced after an investigation. A month later I have yet to hear back about my replacement.

Secondary to the stay- the "Spa" area is quite moldy.

Very nice hotel with lovely views of the Liffey and the Dublin skyline. Good pool and sauna (for a hotel). Breakfast was very short on vegan options but the lovely, friendly staff rustled up something from the kitchen which was ok. Would recommend it.

The room was fine, the location was quiet and everyone was friendly. But there was only a basic menu for the restaurant, there was no bar for guests, the pints of Guiness from room service were really poor and the breakfast order was not correct and on the cold side.

Stayed with wife, baby and sister in law to attend a concert. Stay was in room 301, which was a corner room and had a balcony overlooking the River Liffey. Room was lovely - spacious and hotel provided a travel cot for us. We asked for extra coffee pods and the hotel provided this almost immediately. The location is great - far enough out of the centre of the city that it's not noisy, but close enough to a variety of different attractions that you can easily walk to them - such as Croke Park, Aviva Stadium and Grafton Street.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, very comfortable bed. I had a great view of the way and the Samuel Beckett Bridge. Very convenient for transit into the city centre. Restaurants and pubs within walking distance. The price was a little much for the room I had, however I did not realize until after I booked that it was a bank holiday weekend and there were many activities going on in Dublin, so that probably contributed to the price. Wonderful overall experience.

Fabulous Hotel, very stylish. Walking distance from centre of Dublin City. Clean, quiet, very friendly and helpful staff. The East restaurant has a great choice of food and catered well for children. It is a lovely place for a weekend break.

I really do not know what to think! Firstly the bar staff really need to sort out what are they supposed to serve and do it away from the customer's face. Secondly, I know it looms nice but why have a real and very hot fire on when it is More

We had a great stay at The Spencer hotel the hotel is within walking distance of lots of great places to eat and drink and a short tram ride away from shopping centres. We also had some fantastic treatments in the spa. The room was modern and clean.

Location for the convention centre was perfect however the information we were given prior to booking ie: 50" tv (actually had a 32") and an upgrade to a balcony room (no upgrade given) was incorrect and should be updated on any of the sites selling your rooms. Reception staff couldn't;t have cared less when we raised these points. Then breakfast buffet was abysmal, cold items in every tray, rude people pushing passed you when carrying things in both hands. So annoyed that cancelled breakfast the next two days and went to a local pub that couldn't have been more helpful for less money in nicer surrounds. Our first visit to Dublin and everything apart form the hotel was excellent. Such a shame. 2/5

This could have been a rather decent review, but instead is going to be a rather scathing one. This is supposed to be a 4 star rated hotel, but they are nothing of the sort.

1. We booked our rooms way in advance. We had a room at the beginning and end of our trip to Ireland. The first stay, the Elevators were broken. We had 8 pcs of heavy luggage and they offered help. GREAT, except they gave us a small framed girl who couldn't pick up one suitcase. We had to lug our baggage up and down the stairs. Ridiculous.

2. The room we booked was for 2 Adults and 2 kids and we wanted a bigger room. We got a triple bed room. Problem is that the room is the same size as others with just more beds. Really small rooms.

3. Prior to our return visit at the end of our Ireland stay, we looked around to see if there was another hotel as we were not impressed with them. Curiously, we looked on their website to see the same room for roughly 100 Euros less than what we booked it for. We called and asked why, abd if we can get the new rate. The asst. Mgr answered and said emphatically NO. He said we prebooked our room and we are stuck with that price. I asked if we could cancel our reservation and rebook it under the lower rate. At first he said no, and then said yes you can. So I asked him to do so. He replied that we would have to do it ourselves as hotel policy forbids it. Really? It was a long back and forth and basically they refused to give us the better rate on their own website. Can you say RIP OFF artists. Any decent hotel chain would have accommodated our request with no problem. It is called good business. When we checked in. We tried to talk to a manager to avail. Just horrible. It seems they are desperate for money, maybe for all the construction going on in the Hotel, which is the next complaint.

4. The place is being worked on. Plastic sheeting is up and you can hear banging and sawing all day. They should inform their customers or make mention of it on their website

5. Maid service was ok, but when they do not replenish items like tea used etc. Also when we came in the second time, the toilet was used. There was a pubic hair on the toilet and what appeared to be urine as well.

Their breakfast was good. Absolutely no complaints with the breakfast, unfortunately that was about the only thing that I liked about the hotel.

If you are traveling to Ireland, I suggest you look elsewhere for a decent hotel. I am from the US and I would stay at a Motel 6 in a bad part of town before I stayed here again.

I am missing many details, but I need to board the plane. I will finish this later

This hotel is superb. The staff are warm and welcoming. The rooms are large and clean and the restaurant and bar down stairs is incredible. It's worth getting the breakfast which is fantastic and varied. The location of the hotel is perfect - over looking the river and incredibly quiet, unlike some of the more centrally located hotels. It is a quick walk to the centre. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend in Dublin. Thank you!

I stayed here last week without any issues. I was on the first floor far away from the elevators and conference area. The room size was smaller but adequate for my visit. The blinds were difficult to close and block out the light. Power plugs were plentiful and of the round and triple plug type. Lighting in room was perfect. Easy to switch off and on using bedside controls. The shower was ample and provided a detachable sprayer for those hard to reach places. There was also a tub Incase you want to soak. Bathroom had a door that could be closed to not disturb your room mate. Hand soap and shampoo/conditioner were provided along with a few other items. Laundry service was expensive but they got it done quickly and it was returned beautifully folded. The breakfast selection was ample and food quality very good. Coffee tasted sour at times but got the job done. They had juices, fruits, meats, breads, and cereals both cold and hot. The bar service was a bit lacking in terms of attention. Plenty of places to eat great food nearby after being out and about.

The hotel was lovely and the room was very nice but the noise of the air handling unit drove me crazy it sounded like thunder or someone watching a very load movie on the next floor , if your staying here avoid the 5th floor because the air handling unit was right above the room

This is a nicely situated boutique hotel with the added distinction of offering private balconies with the rooms.

There aren't a lot of restaurants nearby, but the walk to the main tourist is manageable. Also close to the Epic museum and the Urban Brewery.

Staff was very welcoming and helpful, particularly at 5 AM when we needed to leave for the airport.

Dreadful customer service. Sent an email to enquire regarding a rate as I was attending a course. No reply. Called and got quoted a rate that was higher than what was available online. Will stay in another hotel with a higher star rating slightly higher price but infinitely better service called the intercontinental.

It was nice hotel, has a nice modern feeling to it and the grey especially adds to it. Deluxe suite room was nice, lots of room and good views. It could do with some small updating, such as the balconies floors being replaced and also windows washed, better placement of TV etc., vending machine did not work however staff were nice and pleasant, food was good

We stayed here for a couple of nights around our wedding and it was amazing. Whilst the location is a little out of the city we don't mind a bit of a walk so handled it with ease.

Staff, service and room were fantastic. If you do stay wander down to the BrewDog pub which is only ten minutes away.
