Always excellent coffee and service. Drip coffee, cold press, pour-over, espresso drinks are all expertly made and delicious. They also have good tea selection, and some baked goods and paninis available. The atmosphere is great, and there's lots of seating with their lower level seating area. Highly recommend.

There is no place like home for coffee, unless you go to Claddagh Coffee Shop in Saint Paul! The amazing coffee and home baked bakery goods are hard to beat! So happy to have this amazing jewel so close by!

I savored their short cappuccino the first time I visited. It had a unique blend and was distinctly aromatic. The cold weather outside seemed to only increase my craving for a second gulp. This time I had a large cup and relished the experience. The indoors are cosy and you would often spot customers working their way through a nice sip of their unique teas, coffees and snacks. I would love to visit the shop a few more times whilst I'm at St Paul.

Good coffee. Ok breakfast sliders. The needed some more flavor...even some salt and pepper would help. Fast checkout, but very slow getting sandwiches (10 minutes). It wasn't busy, either. I'll be sure to pop in for coffee or espresso, but will skip ordering any take-away.

Hands down the best coffee shop in the Twin Cities. The whole upper level is flooded in light during the day and even the basement level manages to be extremely cozy despite the lack of windows. They have a wide variety of creative latte flavors and also carry the best tea (from a local company in Wisconsin!). Now I just wish another Claddagh would open in Minneapolis/West Metro so I could go more often!

The aesthetic, coffee, and wi-fi connection are all absolutely impeccable.

With a Highland/Celtic allure, the brick walls and parquet floors create a much more inviting and exotic coffee-going experience. The staff are great at all they do.

The wi-fi is definitely worth paying the extra 10% for coffee as I do a great amount of work online and derive much media from it, so it is a welcome change that, at Claddagh Coffee, I am able to download more in one hour than I ever could at any Dunn Bros in one week. And it is three blocks closer to my home.

This is my favorite coffee shop in downtown Saint Paul for a few reasons:

- It's really big, It has two levels (bathroom on each), a 'patio' (a couple tables outside for nice weather), and a couple comfy couches.
- Lunch, Not your standard, 'bagels and pastries' place per say. They serve actual meals, which is nice when you are looking for a quick bite for lunch or a light dinner.
- Good vibes, This is the best part- the clientele is eclectic. During my last visit I saw a variant of age ranges from kids to seniors. All walks of life.

Highly recommend for

Beware: It can get busy and loud so be prepared to use your headphones.

A warm, inviting coffee house with lovely places to chat with friends, read by yourself or catch some sun. Signature drinks and food (e.g. The Claddagh Espresso drink and Irish Crumb Cake) make this a signature coffee house. And if you love Dogwood and pour over coffee, Claddagh has you covered.

Comfy, welcoming place with good coffee, great homemade breakfasts, lunches and snacks, a laid-back atmosphere and an eclectic clientele. Try their Irish oats (oatmeal) on a cold morning. And their panini sandwiches. My only complaint is that they don't stay open evenings. Other than that, they're perfect.

This morning, August 2, 2020, we made a take out order online. When we went to pick it up, the staff let us know the scones they had were day-old. They apologized and offered us the scones and gave us a refund because they weren't what they advertised. We gladly accepted and brought them home. We heated up the scones and applied the generous lemon curd and clotted cream and there was absolutely nothing wrong with them. What this review is meant to do is highlight two thing: 1- let everyone know the scones are incredibly delectable; 2 - that their offer of the refund wasn't necessary but just speaks to their top notch customer centric ideals. Take some time, make and order, and enjoy their wonderful goods and wonderful service ethos. By the way, the Dropkick Murphy - it's not shipping up to Boston but man is it a weird yet tasty drink. Slainte!

Interesting, Irish-themed coffee shop on West 7th (not the dodgy end). If you're into this sort of thing, the Pot o Gold is a delightful, subtly sweet latte offering (one of many) containing turmeric and ginger.

Claddagh Coffe is a really nice place. The staff are really friendly as well. I asked to be recommended a beverage and was gladly obliged. I was served a "salty dog", one of many signature drinks that they offer, and it was great! I got a lot of studying done before they closed up shop at 4pm.I had a great time!

Staff is always friendly, delicious specialty coffee drinks & I love the breakfast slider sandwiches & their granola with yogurt. Good for bringing a laptop to get some work done, quiet reading, quick meetings, reading the paper, or playing board games downstairs.

I was really looking forward to trying out a new coffee shop this morning; my roommate and I decided to try this one because of their wide variety of specialty drinks. I got the O Benny Boy which is supposed to taste like coconut, banana, and chocolate. Instead, it just tastes like coffee and steamed milk. :( I m really hoping that this is just a COVID error because I was really excited to taste this creative drink. Better luck next time!

This is our second visit here and both times we're amazing. The atmosphere is really chill and the coffe is top notch as well. I really liked that they make their own syrups and such for the coffees. This time I ordered a chai tea latte as my comparison drink for other places, and the best one up to now in my opinion was Fireroast Cafe, but now it's Claddagg, which surprised me. The wild rice soup at Fireroast is still wins in my opinion, but we both agreed the coffee is best here, if only by a bit. Great job, guys!

Buzzing cafe with friendly staff and seating up/downstairs. Claddagh uses and sells Dogwood Coffee ( a local roaster) The latte was perfect. The chocolate, dried cherry scone was as good as my Mom's...shhh, don't tell her! The scone was served with raspberry preserve and clotted cream. I will be back to enjoy the food, drink, and atmosphere again! Wonderful experience!

Great visit, as always! I was there over the noon hour so the main floor was busier than usual but I like this place because of the basement seating options. They have couches and tables with more gentle lighting down the stairs. Great selection of coffees, quickly made and friendly service.

One of the best latte's I've had -- the black and tan (cinnamon, honey, espresso) was excellent. The cinnamon chocolate scone was also really good. Just enough cinnamon and chocolate junks to make it flavorful without being too sweet. Very cozy, all brick interior with a sort of tucked-away feel, this was definitely an excellent stop.

Love the atmosphere...wish they would bring you your drink if they tell you they are out of something and need to make it. Wouldn't mind if I was by myself, but to wait fifteen minutes with a friend standing there wasn't the greatest.

Very annoyed. Arrived at 4:25pm and the shop was already closed, despite the closing time being listed as 5pm, the open sign still lit and two employees working inside. Just lost a potential customer.

I'd have to say any coffee house that isn't a Starbucks or Caribou or a Dunkin or any of the conglomerate corporate companies is better in my book. Being an Irish coffee house just makes it all the better. God blessed are the Irish, death to the English, and pog mo thoin.
