We just love this place! It has been here forever and line is still out the door for dinner.

I love their turkey and green beans. Great place to go with the family or for lunch.

I was in and out, service was great. Food was delicious..

Pretty darn reliable for good smoked meat. I had the turkey today and it was really quite good.

Great service and delicious BBQ. We placed an online order for our family. It was ready on time, the staff were friendly, and it was great!

Went looking for best BBQ in Colmbus and City was ranked 3rd behind RayRays and Smokehouse. We drove by RayRays and discovered it was a food truck. NOT! Smokehouse was a ghost town. We happened to drive around the back of the restaurant and didn't see any smoke or cooking going on. Went straight to City and were so happy we did. We are not locals, just in from (Cali) for son's volleyball tourn. Best BBQ in more than a year. Even better than 3 or 4 places we tried in Dallas for last summer's tourn. Thanks to all at City. RJ

Update.....

Visited another location right near the Airport the following day prior to the return trip to CA. WOW! The 1st impression was not a fluke....even better that the day before...
Best thing were the beans and corn pudding.

Probably never visit Ohio again but I'll be dreaming about City until my last day...

It's okay. Decent BBQ, sauces are good. Service is poor. Good for a BBQ fix, but not for anybody serious about their cue

I've never had it before. Food was amazing. Greats and fast service. Will go back again.

Unfortunately they ran of some food when we went for dinner so we had to settle for something that we didn't end up liking that much. I got a pulled chicken sandwich and it was constantly falling apart. Then there were tiny bones in it, enough to make me stop and consistently pay attention when I was chewing, although I admit it was pretty tasty. They forgot to give us our hush puppies so we asked for them and said they would take it to our table, but then forgot again. They did have a busy evening that day I will add! All in all, good if you have a hankering for a bbq sandwich or ribs.

The staff and service is absolutely amazing! The food is the BEST!!! A must place to eat at!

I know it's a chain but the food is incredible...I love their brisket and pulled pork...and the sides are second to none

Ordered online and picked up from parking lot. Got everything I ordered and food was delicious. Especially the brisket and mac and cheese!

It's a great local chain. Good bbq. I like the brisket a lot. Chicken sandwich and brunswick stew too. Corn pudding is awesome.

Great food, but the people working there could be a lot nicer and understanding that the world does not revolve around masks! Some people can't wear them

I had a really poor experience at this location (Henderson Rd, Columbus). I frequent City BBQ in Centerville, OH and will only return there. In comparison, the staff was overwhelmed and did not manage a busy weekend evening well. I put in a carry out order via the app and my pick up time was delayed at the counter (20-25min), the staff did not greet others in the pick up line before me and we all stood confused and waiting. While waiting, I observed the staff bagging orders and filling food trays. This was my biggest concern. I watched a staff member without gloves drop food on the floor then pick it up to toss, wipe the sweat from her forehead and then continue to grab food orders. I watched her carefully and was relieved she did not fill our order because it was highly unsanitary and unprofessional to act in a careless manner, and her facial expression to customers was not welcoming. The condiment bar was not stocked, I actually refilled the plastic containers and lids for them so that others could fill pickles, onions and sauces for themselves. It was not orderly. I m glad I only had a carry out order because none of the tables were wiped down. After I was handed my order I knew to check it after noticing others eating in where given incorrect orders. I had already paid but was not told that they were out of Texas Toast until I addressed them and said there s no toast in my to go bag, the employee was annoyed I had inconvenienced her and followed to inform me after the fact. I was very disappointed in this location because in Centerville I am greeted, welcomed, short wait times, clean drink station/condiment bar/seating area and no concern for contaminated food. Please put some attention into these details because it could become a much better restaurant with the right management to put policies into place and new hires. I ve worked at a restaurant which targets similar costumers for 6 years and understand things happen, people call off, but working under pressure and managing priorities is such an important factor.

I love this place. Best pulled pork in town. Great selection so sauces also. The corn pudding stuff is really good also. Basically is all great.

This place is hopping but when I've eaten there before feels totally greasy. Tables are grimy, everything felt dirty. BBQ is so so, just haven't tried a decent BBQ joint in Columbus yet. Got food to-go the last time because I didn't want to eat there, plus it's very noisy. Waited for two minutes at the to-go area, while worker stood there folding boxes staring at me.... no one else coming through. I finally said I'm waiting on a to go order. She commented that she hadn't realized that's what I was waiting for. I feel like staff should acknowledge an individual standing and waiting at a to-go desk. Especially when a few feet apart facing each other, but she wanted to finish folding those darn boxes. Could've asked me to hold a sec, at least acknowledge me. It's family oriented and kid friendly.

Good meat, good sides, the best iced tea I've ever had. There are so many choices and they're all so good that I get something different every time.

The city barbecue is a great place to go when you want some meat.

Ribs and Briskets were pretty good, would had been 4 stars if it weren't for the social distancing problem between our table and door entrance for delivery drivers, should had close off that entrance or more social distancing

Best barbecue in town, and that includes RayRay's. Love their sandwiches and combo meals, the sauces are fantastic, and employees are always very friendly and helpful. City Barbecue is definitely our choice in town for this kind of food!

Long wait for my called ahead pickup order they had not even begun preparing when she told me 15 to 20 minutes and I walked in at 21 minutes. Food was good though. Service was subpar

You can eat barbecue food at a reasonable price. The barbecue source is a source bar, so you can try different types of sauces. The first recommendation source (A1 source?) Will not come out to the clerk, so ask if you want it.

Called 5 times during business hours, no one answered. Walked into the location to place an order waited 15 minutes for help while employees just looked at me from the back. Came back to get my food, and the order wasn't even correct worst service ever, never going back

Great food! A little pricey but is a great treat every once in a while!

Always good you might have to wait a few min in line this place is busy all the time. I dont know who designed this place but the way they have the counter every one that has to talk from behind the counter to the front of the house has to walk behind where people are pullong and filling orders dum design they are all the same too.

Easy to find. Several around the Columbus area.

Went in and immediately seated. Place was quite clean. Waiter came over fairly promptly to get drink orders. After a little while, he was back again with drinks and prepared to take food orders. Food came out surprisingly quickly. Hot stuff was hot; cold stuff cold.

I had a pulled pork sandwich. Pretty vast array of different sauces available. I got their "swinewine" which seems fairly close to my favorite North Carolina vinegar & hot pepper sauce. Bun was fresh. Meat was hot, tender, and well seasoned, but not to the point that you couldn't taste pig.

Only disappointment for me was the cornbread I ordered. Too! Sweet! Proper cornbread has no sugar, nearly no wheat flour, and it's made with white corn. This was too sweet & caky.

We had never been before. We liked it so much that when we were in Columbus a week later, we stopped at another location & bought a pound of the pulled pork to take home. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Good turkey, good fries. No tomatoes for sandwich. Would definitely return.
