Great food, friendly service, and a very cool atmosphere!

Went for my birthday dinner, had ordered online and carried out. Order was perfect and so was food. Nothing missing.

Two of us split one of the sampler platters and everything was delicious! We had fries and corn pudding for the sides and we loved it. It has a nice atmosphere. The platter we had came with smoked turkey, smoked sausage, brisket, and Barbeque, with a variety of different sauces to taste, and other sides by the sauce. We will definitely be visiting here again when we are back in Columbus. They do have another location also.

Pre order was a disaster at Henderson Rd. Pick up time was 4:50 which received almost 1 hour late because of waiting line. Walk-in getting food ahead of online prepaid orders. Did receive 50% discounts because of this poor service.

Food was pretty good. Beef brisket was the best. Portions were pretty small for the price of the plates. Not a bad place to stop for a quick bite though

Was slightly better in the early years but still really really good! My *guess* is they had to move to larger batches of food to keep up with higher demand which has slightly decreased the finish on the final product compared to the early 2000's.

Solid BBQ for a purist who has been spoiled prior. Generally lean meat with fairly generous portions.

Didn't like the long wait to order, especially since I couldn't call in my order. Meanwhile, many people just walked in to pick up orders. It all looked good, including the whole turkeys. For me, I was there for the pulled pork and brisket sandwiches

Best barbecue outside of South Carolina. Being from the south I'm very critical of barbecue but this place was great

Ordered dinner they got the order wrong. The drink was warm and they forgot all of the bbq sauce. It was city bbq but without the bbq.

Its fairly mediocre bbq food. Far from even the top 10 bbq places I have been to, but city has many accessible locations if theres nowhere else around.

Having eaten BBQ around the world, I still find myself greatly satisfied with the food and service of City Barbeque. The banana pudding! Brisket and chicken are excellent.

I love their food. I can't wait til they switch the season because UA has the best gumbo. I really hope they don't great rid of it. The service is Amazing.

Best BBQ in Columbus. Tables and seating are a little dingy and sticky. Order take-out.

Had them cater for my daughters first birthday the caterer was polite and did a great job setting things up and the food was delicious

Great food. Had a half slab of ribs with two sides...fries and vinager slaw. Cooked to perfection. Many sides to choose from. I've tried them all and you can't go wrong with anything you choose.

I waited over 45 minutes on my order and I got nothing

Even though this is a chain restaurant they still have some excellent barbecue.

City BBQ has predictably great BBQ every time I go there. Their Brisket really sings. I have an alergy to pork, and they are able to serve around that, something most BBQ places can't do. :-)

Went there last night at 9:40. They close at 10. Was worried we would be rushed out of there or something but the entire staff welcomed us with open arms and allowed us to sit down and eat even though they were in the process of closing. Everyone said hello to us and was in a very good mood. Not something you would expect at all from a food place trying to close in twenty minutes. The cashier was super friendly and personable and guided us through the entire menu. Her name was Tessa and her customer service was above and beyond anywhere I've eaten lately. The food was a slice of heaven. And the portions are more than generous. I have not eaten here since I moved away from Toledo and was not aware there were any located in the Columbus area but eating here made me feel like I was back home again. A huge shout out to the friendly staff, a huge shout out to the cooks for making us the most bomb meal I've had in weeks. And a special shout out to Tessa for making our dining experience a 10/10. Will be returning very often!!!!

Very good Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and loaded fries. The cheese sauce they give you for the fires is amazing. Very long pick up time but good food

I really like City Barbeque! Not only is the food really good, ribs...brisket...chicken (not to speak of their delicious sides) but their employees are well trained and care to "help there customers" even when you make the mistake in ordering. Cudos to Conner at the Henderson Rd. location for going beyond and above. I mistaking ordered sandwiches for my wife and I and got home olny to fine out that my sandwich was great (brisket) but ordered the wrong one for my wife, and she really like the cow with pork instead of beef. Well Conner waited on me initially, so when he saw me return, he came over to me to ask if everything was ok. I exlpained the situation, and Conner immediately went to work and I had my wife's correct sandwich in no time...and he told me to keep the other sandwich!!! Great job City Barbeque!

Simply fantastic BBQ & food, every time. Happened to be there for live music last week, which was a nice surprise. Very popular joint, so be prepared to wait in line. Is part of the "classic BBQ experience", but don't come expecting clean tables.

Love City bbq, nothing else to say. Price is fairly reasonable. Swet tea is good.
They did change the bannana pudding resipe, don't like it now. Rest of the menu is great.

Absolutely the most mouth watering, juicy, tender and flavorful southern barbecue, right here in "northern" Columbus. And the sides, like green beans with bacon, baked beans with brisket, and collards with pork just slide down easily as a chaser. So come on over, grab a bottle of suds from the ice bath, and sit right down to identify your favorite complementary sauce, original, spicy or other.

They have slow-cooked, smoked brisket that is amazing! It is very tender and tasty. They have a variety of sauces to go with the meat and lots of good sides as well.

Waited 40 minutes in line in 3rd place. Employees stating they are trying to catch up, ignoring in store customers for online orders. Will be my final trip. Sad used to go every week.

We ordered this for work today... not sure if we were uber hungry or if it was just that dang good. I swear it was 10x better than other locations. The mac and cheese is heaven... the end.

Seems strange that a semi fast food restaurant is now unable to serve their walk in customers in any kind timely manner. Seems wrong that I watched someone get out of line, put In an online order and receive their order almost 20 min before we finally receive ours.

Good BBQ at a decent price, quick service and usually very fresh.

Food is very consistent and carry out is normally ready on time. I have never had anything from City Barbeque that I did not enjoy.

Excellent smoked meat selections especially the ribs, chicken and brisket.

Always love the food here. The brisket & pulled pork are great, & I love the fries. They seasonal sides and dishes as well so the menu changes a bit throughout the year.

Food quality is fine but the counter is always a chaotic mess. Back of the house yelling at the front, front yelling back, and the customers reacting to this panic scene by yelling out their orders and adding to the confusion.

At last visit an 8 top (not my party) on one check fills the entire ordering area. Instead of simply asking them to step aside or take their seats after ordering, the counter solicits those in line to lean forward and shout their orders.

Best BBQ in the city, hands down!! Their dessert is great, and menu items are always changing for seasonal promotions.. The sausage gumbo dish is one of my favorite sides to get!

Love this place, no complaints. It's fun mixing and matching sauces. None of the meat we ordered was dry at all, which was a nice little surprise! Bit pricey, so I can't come here too often. I think my favorite was the pulled pork. Nice cozy interior, rustic feel.

One of the best in town areas. Make sure to get their Mac n cheese

Not much meat on the ribs. They we're certainly not "fall off of the bone" moist and juicy. Average at best. The taste was very good. I'm told the chicken is much better.

Excellent food and fast service with a variety of sauces to choose from!
