Came here with a group of friends and had a wonderful time. The food is delicious and there are several options for sauces. Prices weren't bad. The staff was very friendly. Had a couple good conversations with them. They unfortunately didn't have a sauce for sale (most could be purchased) but it wasn't enough to give a 4 star review. They do have a parking lot.
There is no such thing as better barbecue then this!

I come here a lot and the food especially the barbecue sauce is the best ever. The workers and staff are very nice and make sure you lock the door in the bathroom otherwise you will get opened up on like 5 times. Definitely worth the trip. This is a must go.

The food is awesome with the spicy sauce tongue ticling. Sampler package good for 3 and has assortment for carnivores. Collard greens is a rarity here in Columbus. Overall outstanding food

Half chicken is great with spicy bbq sauce. Staff was friendly. Forgot to ask about brunswick stew...next time. That and fried okra are two things I miss from when I lived in GA.

Smokey flavored ... cooked to perfection, along with a staff dedicated to serving the customer. Always greeted with a friendly smile and willing to make sur e you have a great dining experience or a wonderful take out meal. The GM is always walking around to make sure the guests are truly satisfied. The BBQ itself is especially phenomenal at this store, and has never failed to deliver the real deal in BBQ. My favorite BBQ in all of OHIO.

City BBQ, by far the best corporate chain of BBQ joints there is. Newark Ohio location is always great food and great service.

This place is very tasty. I love their lunch specials and the food is always tasty. They are also a good place for getting a ton of food for work events.
It's good, but not great. ... It's Columbus great. Meaning, if you only have a Columbus restaurant level of experience with bbq, there's a good chance you'll enjoy it. But if you're the type of person who frequents the Jazz and Ribs fest, then you'll find yourself wishing you were at Ray Rays food truck instead!

Has never disappointed us. We stop by just about every time we are in town. Plenty of food, always hot, fresh, and large variety of sides to choose from. Tasty from beginning to end.
What a great BBQ joint. BBQ is top notch, corn bread pudding and coleslaw are fantastic. Definitely recommend!

My favorite of all the locations... It is rustic with excellent food and service. The only problem I've ever had at this location was a late 20s looking female white woman with blond hair dyed multiple colors who threw a miniature fit when six people walk in 15 minutes to closing. It looked pretty unprofessional in front of all the customers.
Excellent food and service. Side dishes are just as good. Newest side is the best yet -- pecan citrus slaw. Perfect contrast to the delicious heavy taste of the BBQ.

Closest I've come to real southern BBQ in the North! Lolo's pulled Pork with their swine wine (add extra!) is about as NC BBQ in OH as yer gonna git. The beans had big enough pieces of pork in it, I thought some of my sandwich dropped in it. Home run!
Can't go wrong with BBQ. Nice selection of bbq sauces. Apparently having it naked is without the bun. Once Columbus Police made me put my clothes back on and explained it to me it made sense.
I always get the brisket, potato salad, and cukes and onions. Love there mustard based sauce. Everything here is great.

Brisket is allways awesom. City Sampler is 3 meals. I do not like the green beens they sell spicy hot and have italian beans. I prefer regular green beens with bacon and then smoked.

First time trying this place out and they were out of all meat except sausage. Why stay open? Very upset and hungry. Upset I wasted my time driving out here.
I must admit I was very much so on the fence when my now husband suggested we try City BBQ as our reception caterer after we had a falling out with our first pick. I was very concerned about many things but being a stressed out bride who was two months away and feeling like everything was about to collapse around me, I said sure. I don't think I have ever made a better decision.
Randy in Columbus was amazing. He was able to calm me down, get a plan together, walk us through everything, and provided constant contact for anything I started to lose my mind about. He helped us build our menu and get all of our extras taken care of without batting an eye.
When the day came, the food was the only thing I wasn't worried about. Everything was presented beautifully, the staff was amazing and really went above and beyond, the food was perfect, and everyone was happy. Randy even came around multiple times to make sure we had enough to eat. I mentioned I forgot to grab a corn bread and before I knew it, it had appeared on my plate. I can't thank the entire staff for all they did for us. And to top it all off, our guests were so impressed and full. Its been 3 weeks and I'm still getting calls about how amazing the food was.

If you like dry pork then you'll like it. If not then you'll want to go somewhere else. I am not impressed.
Not bad. Fun ambiance. Nice to see a focus on the meat and not the sauce.
I walked in on a Saturday a little before 1pm to place an take out order. I waited almost 30 minutes to receive my order while other customers who ordered after me receive there food before I did. Disappointing as my order was relatively simple and small to make and the fact that I was on a short schedule. This was my first time visiting this City BBQ location and definitely my last. Westerville and Gahanna locations are way faster and efficient.
