The Creative Writing Summer School (week's course) was excellent in every respect. All tutors were first class and brought different skills and insights to the table. In particular, our course leader Tom Crowley was engaging and encouraging, setting the scene for an open, sharing atmosphere in our group of six. I found the week insightful and inspiring, and was amazed at the amount of ground we covered. Many thanks!

This was my first venture into Salsa by joining the Intensive - Beginners one day course and I couldn't have wished for a better experience!! Great day with lots of fun. Great teacher in Magda. Met some interesting people and would highly recommend to anyone who is curious about Salsa. I'm. hooked!!

Went to the Justin Bieber Sorry dance class for a friend's birthday - the class was very fun, and Anna was a wonderful teacher!

Good course to spend some time and have fun. Very relaxed, could do with something a bit more pushy and intense.

Our teacher for the Alrxander Technique Class - Christina, was really lovely & made everyone feel at ease & relaxed despite no one knowing each other, and at the same time she made the class really informative and enjoyable. She clearly cares a lot about her students. On the whole a very interesting class!

Took acting classes here with Tom and Miranda and have loved every minute of it. They are instructive, talented, and so much fun to work with!

I attended the Blogging for beginners class with Shyama Perera. She was brilliant and inspiring, she provided great advice about things I would have never though of. I like that the day was very practical too, highly recommended for people who are thinking to start a blog and need some direction.

Richard is an excellent guitar teacher and if ever I had to miss a class the City Academy team were quick to get the notes from the lesson for me

Just finished my first course of beginners tap dancing with Tori. The classes were always fun and Tori is a wonderful teacher. City Academy offers an incredible range of amazing classes at numerous great locations and I can t wait to start back on my next tap course.

Very friendly and Fun social, we need this every month!! I just love every bit of it, everyone is extremely kind and willing to learn and show new.moves. The organisers are fantastic at creating good vibes. It is a special salsa social!!!

I considered my course to be money well spent. It was informative and forced me to look at my writing with fresh eyes. It gave me a new perspective.

We did beginner & intermediate swing, taught by Holly, who was ace. There was great energy & good attention to the weaker members of the class, and we had a great time. 10/10

I did Improv 1 & 2 in Jake Lyons' class - Jake was a great teacher and I met a bunch of awesome people in the class too. Whenever I have to speak publicly at work now whether it's planned or off the cuff I always feel like I have that much more confidence and poise owing to my improv classes. Thanks to Jake, City Academy and my classmates for a great experience.

I attended a public speaking day course at City Academy and thoroughly enjoyed it. Sally Bishop was a wonderful coach, she kept the day interesting and fun. I would highly recommend to colleagues and friends. Thank you.

Every classes there were many boys and less girls the management should take equal leaders and Followers.We didnt practice much and there was less attention i received from teachers.I have expected much from city.Paying huge money if you are not happy then there is no use.SAD

I attended an improvers digital photography day with City Academy. The event was being taught by Carole Edrich at the Actors Centre in London near Covent Garden. Carole is an excellent teacher whom I learnt a great deal from.

Carol is incredibly knowledgeable and adapted her teaching methodologies to accommodate all the different personalities in the room. I would recommend both the course and her as a teacher to my friends.

I have done several salsa classes at city academy. The teachers, Dani & Magda, are great - they work so well as a team. They make sure that their students have really learned the most important basic steps, which helps a lot with progression to next levels and especially social dancing!

I also really appreciate the teachers' encouragement to form a salsa community, and their facilitation of this. They have such positive attitudes and are inclusive of everyone.

"Dani has been a great teacher. She taught us a lot in 6 weeks and she was repeating the exercises whenever we were struggling, breaking it down until we got it. She was very energetic and had a good choice of music. She was pushing us. I want to book the next course with her again"

I was looking for a class which would help strengthen my story telling skills. I lack confidence telling stories in every day life and after researching this course, it covered all the main goals i was looking to achieve. Miranda my teacher was incredible with her constructive style and in depth experience as a teacher I highly recommend Miranda for any of her classes and this class if you are looking to increase your story telling skills.

Loved all my acting classes! Toby and Phoebe are amazing teachers and I feel like I learnt a lot in every session! Looking forward to my next classes

Aimee, our teacher for the beginners singing course is amazing! She really brought out the best in each of us and I'd gladly come back for another course with Aimee. Emiko is an amazing bollywood teacher and she teaches and prioritises the moves and technique instead of learning choreography.

This was an absolute gem of a workshop, I'd happily do it every weekend! The ballet warm up was just the right duration & perfect preparation for the fantastic choreography (loved the mixture of ballet & jazz!) to gorgeous music, all taught brilliantly by Amy in a really well-paced session. I'd do it again in a heartbeat if the course was run again!

Over the course of the last year I've attended nine courses with City Academy, from professional development through to acting and improv. The quality of the courses overall has been really excellent; the tutors have been consistently fantastic, and the course content engaging and thoroughly enjoyable. I've noticed a very positive change in myself as a result of taking the courses; vastly improved self confidence, and improved professional and social skills. More importantly I've met loads of great people through studying here. Would highly recommend if you're thinking about taking a course.

Have really enjoyed all dance classes (have taken tap, jazz and ballet). Good instructors, good venues, good music. Great experience all around, would recommend!

Really enjoyed the beginners guitar class and learnt a lot. Richard is a fantastic teacher and I've already signed up for the intermediate class.

Beginner's singing class was fun, interactive and got to practice at the get-go!

I love this school! I'm doing salsa course there and I'm impressed with the level of professionalism provided. Teachers are very good and the pace of classes adjusted to abilities of average person. I feel like they are able to teach how to dance everybody, even people who think they don't have skills. I also appreciate the society gathered around dancing department. It's easy to get involved in dancing socials. I totallly recommend City-Academy and I'm going to try different courses there.

The course was very enthusiastically taught with loads of information on technique and methods, and great feedback!

I love the workshop ! The teacher was very professional but also we had a lots of fun. Positive vibes, learned new things and I have to say I was well impressed by the size of the studio :)

I had a great time at my workshop, the teachers were great and so was the venue.

Went on the advanced acting and was really looking forward to the course. However, advanced acting this was not. The focus was mainly on improvisation and games, almost an hour of the class was taken up with improv and games. Not very challenging at all, I was expecting more focus on text in plays and character development. The last two weeks we where informed by the tutor that we would focus on monologues. Only one week was spent on monologues as the tutor pulled out of the last class to be replaced by someone else. Overall, very disappointed with this course and will not be attending another course with City Academy.

The tutors were all fun, professional, knowledgeable and engaging with infectious energy. It has re-ignited my passion for performing musical theatre after 16 years of focusing on solely acting. Adam kept every warm-up fresh and fun. Rebecca oozed experience and trust and knew how to get the best out of everyone. Claire was inspiring with how skilled she was with the music. What a fantastic team. Thank you for a great experience.

Tim was an absolutely amazing tutor and made us all come out of our shells! Looking forward to my next course x

Alex was a very patient and considerate person who was able to take both the group and individuals through the course so we learnt from each other as well as from him. It is a very challenging technique but in the hands of a gifted exponent as Alex, he gave me confidence to explore the Meisner Technique and to continue with it in further courses.

I did the Streetdance week long, all day long course. It was a great introductory course with a host of great, knowledgeable, friendly, open and energetic teachers. I wish I'd done it 10 years ago! Loved it.

Awesome place. Personally recommend the creative writing intensive. Very worthwhile experience!

Had a great time on the Documentary Filmmaking course. Met some lovely people, the tutor was friendly and knowledgable and the course was just what I was looking for. Might just do another one...

I attended an interview skills workshop with Lotte today. The tutor was really interactive, supportive and creative. I met people from different backgrounds and everyone seemed to really enjoy the workshop. I even met a Director from the finance sector who is now recommending me for jobs within the industry. Absolutely recommend it to those struggling in their interviews.

The tutor was amazing: professional and funny (in a good way). There was always a positive good atmosphere in the class. The content was good as well.

Just finished the intro course with Miranda, she s an exceptional teacher, her confidence building skills along with her technical experience are second to none! Thoroughly recommend this course.

I took a "Drawing for Comics" course at the venue thus past weekend. It was an interesting, fun and very chilled out session. It flew by. Good content, delivered and paced well, good group of people. Would recommend.
