This theatre is beautiful. Not a bad seat I the whole place.
This theatre is beautiful. Not a bad seat I the whole place.
Rows are super close so taller pople be prepared to watch show with knees squished
I love this place. So nostalgic and brings me back to a different era!
Relived my teenage years and saw Nine Inch Nails there the other night. I was concerned about how the acoustics of a rock band would be in a theater such as the Wang, but it was pretty evenly distributed sound and a great performance. Would recommend seeing a band there.
great place for a concert probably not a bad seat in the house just watch out for the stairs several different types some without railings many different visual contrast
Had an amazing time, the Wang Center was beautiful as always. The staff were friendly and effecient. Eddie Izzard was hilarious.
Love this living piece of history!! Ive been coming here since I was young, and it holds many fond memories!!
Saw two shows here. Great space beautiful theater. Seats in the back weren't bad. Worth checking out!
It's always a good time. The staff is always professional.
Everything that you can expect from an old performing theater. We were there on a really cold night, their doors, and ticket information were open on time, the staff was pleasant, the show started at the hour, and the decoration amazing. Overall, everything went well!
The balcony is steep. I should have not had 4 pinots before scouting the situation. Beautiful architecture and fantastic staff. Cant wait for the next event. A must visit anytime in Boston for any show.
Seats are tight no keg room .you will vang your knees when you get up.neads more spacious seating.to truly appreciate the show
This place is so gorgeous, the architecture and artwork inside is incredible! I have been here twice so far (once to see the comedian Ron White, the other to see the play- The Sound Of Music). I've always had a great experience here!
The staff was very friendly and greeted you with smiles
The Grinch Musical, fun night with the family at a beautiful theater
Introducing my 7 year old to the theater, production of the Grinch was okay but expected a bit more in order to appeal to children
Beautiful theater. Drinks and snacks are way overpriced, but it's pretty much par for the course for any entertainment venue. Staff was mostly friendly and helpful.
Some of the other patrons were douchey.
One criticism of the theater, the concessions closed pretty early. I went to use the bathroom and grab a beer with a good 40 minuted left of the show, and they had already closed up. They shooed me off in an unpleasant manner.
The Wang theater is great, really close to public transportation and is a great venue to see multiple shows. The only thing is there's barely any leg room, I'm not a tall person and my knees were right against the seat in front of me. In the balcony it gets really hot too so take that into consideration when choosing seats. You could still see the show great though. They also serve snacks and beverages that you can bring into the theater.
This is a lovely theater (Shubert) with many friendly staff. The bag check and security line went very fast. We saw the Mystery Science Theater 3000 show and it was great! We sat under the balcony and could easily see the stage. The sound was good and the theater is lovely to look at. My only lament is the seating is not as comfortable as I'd like. I will happily go see another event at this theater.
Beautiful, historic, not-for-profit downtown theater which brings major Broadway musicals and plays to the Wang and sister theater, the Shubert, across the street.
Small place! No matter where you sit, the stage looks like it's right in front of you!
What a magnificent theatre!! The seats were a little small but it was built a long time ago
Waiting in line for Nine Inch Nails tickets for four and a half hours. 9/10 would do again
Magnificent place. Excellent view to the stage even from the highest place
First time here and this theater is simply beautiful.
I would definitely come back for other shows
Awesome venue for concerts. Historical and refurbished with no expenses spared!
One of the only venues in Boston with genuinely friendly staff. The theater is beautiful too.
I have visited here several times, the most recent seeing Elf the Musical with my family. I have to say that the customer service at the Wang is one of the best I have seen. Their professionalsm and "customer care" goes above and beyond. Keep up the good work!
We live coming here. Easily accessible on public transportation, just wish the shows did not fill up so fast.
Classic Boston theatre hasn't changed in 50 years. Accoustics are great.
Went for Dota 2 Major. Ushers were very nice, place was always clean, and concession was not too expensive.
We've been here so many times and love it each time. The place is just absolutely stunningly beautiful. The ornateness of the theater adds to the experience of whatever show you're there to watch.
Great place awesome staff. Very clean and well maintained
The balcony seats are very narrow. Also it was difficult to see even with a short person in front of me.
Great venue all around. Love the incredible architectural details.
My cousin and I always have a great time here. #CJtheDJ
Tight space seating, if you are 6ft & up you would want to go with those bottom seats, those balcony seats are tight with very limited leg room, this theatre is not handicap accessible, could also use an upgrade on the interior design.
Union house and they rock. Got my first official badge here (IATSE Local 11 sticker) from Jim the electrician. Thanks and let's keep the show going!
Loved it! Went there to see Anita Baker's final concert. I love her sultry voice. Hopes she still continues to create music. LOVE YOU ANITA!
Oh and yes! The art in the ceiling of the Wang Center looks beautiful.
Stunning theatre. Love the old artwork adorning the walls!
We saw the Grinch That Stole Christmas Musical. It was Amazing! The orchestra and the actors and the scene's was excellent. My lil guy couldn't take his eye's off.#ThrGrichthatstoleChristmas.
It was a great show and the Boch Center is a beautiful venue
Nice, elegant concert/ theatre venue in Boston's Theatre District. Concessions are reasonably priced. Seats are decently comfortable, though the balcony can get very hot.
Loved it , great parking, awesome venue and loved the SpongeBob Musical ++++ Ernie Wang for the win!!!
What a wonderful theater. I have been here three times. I saw Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and Leonard Cohen put on incredible concerts here. I might just be getting old, but I think they play a dB or two too much here. The lower level is fine, but I think upper tier is a little echoey which can occasionally make higher frequency sounds ear piercing.
Finally, I saw a comedy performance by Craig Ferguson here as well. The acoustics were perfect that evening. The Wang Theater makes you feel like you're stepping into the past. The place is so ornate and fancy. I highly recommend this place to all.
Great venue. Comforatable setting for all kinds of shows. Let's see I've worked more than a handful of shows as a production assistant here. I've hardly seen a show that didnt get intimate with the audience. As a matter of fact it's obly one of many venues i worked at, where the act usually will take extra time at the end to meet their fans. Again, great venue.
A fantastic theater for corporate events and to watch live performance. Comfortable seats. Beautifully designed. Comfortably located near chinatown Boston. Accessible by train. Lots of parking garages nearby. Love it
Beautiful inside but temp control isnt great, seats are very crammed. Lines for food and bathrooms are insane. The performance was excellent and ultimately thats the most important thing but my kids were aged 9 and 11 who went to see elf so it was geared towards their ages don't ever want to go to a play again bc they werent comfortable.
One of the coolest theaters you can visit. Surprisingly lots of seating as well.
Excellent show! Venue is beautiful. Ceiling frescos, entire walls embellished with in wall sculpting of cherubs, people, etc. Ornate gold painted perfection. The musicians hall where the performance was couldn't have been better. Acoustics shine there.
The show we saw called Alive! was amazing, the kids and adults who performed were inspiring and blessed with talent.
Overall, the Wang is about as close to perfection as you're going to get for any intimate concert venue.
That is not another place like it is living hard to describe how beautiful and how like Timeless this place is first time here and I can't believe I haven't been here before I have to leave in Boston for 30 years
Seats are too small. I am 5'11", my knees hit the seat in front of me. Very uncomfortable.
I was there to see Dancing with Stars show. It is a beautiful theater but seats are uncomfortable. I am short and my knees were touching the seat in front of me. Here is picture of knees.
Orchestra row D... Center seats were great for concert...Death Cab for Cutie. We forgot our earplugs, but the info desk gave us some.
A great theatre. Seen a few events here and they were very enjoyable. A great time for your whole family. A beautiful place to see a show. Love this place.
Beautiful theater, but I don t appreciate The Boch Center staff selling my children popcorn moments before showtime and then saying no food allowed in the theater a minute later!?!
Great venue. It's a beautiful place and the staff were absolutely spectacular! I attended with a child with special needs and they were so helpful and supportive. We would definitely love to see more shows here. It was a great (stress free) experience!
Greatest place to conduct small and large group events. Beautiful and historical place
