Room was actually clean I was a little doubtful to stay here I did not think it would be clean but being my only option since silver legacy was fully booked I spent the night at circus circus. Rooms were also nice just wish they had a walk in shower instead of a tub

Valet and bell service used and was fast considering how busy it was on Saturday check in. Front desk had long line but lots of employees and less than 10 mins to get room key. The deluxe rooms I dont think are worth the extra cost other than getting you away from the street noise. I would recommend if in north tower dont get parking garage/street side. Reminder no pool at this hotel. Game area kids like and did win a lot of claw machine prizes. The point games dont seem to give many tickets for cost. Also lines are insane to cash in. Stick to the instant win games. Staff is all friendly, I like that you can walk and visit the other casino and food. Lots of games and areas to gamble in. You can be around noisy areas, live music, or hide out in corner.
Terrible place! Turns away a young family in the middle of the night because they only have cash! Not everyone has a credit card. My daughter, son in law and 3 year old autistic grandson were stranded in Reno, putting money before families.... Real nice
Enjoyed staying here with the family as a stop on our road trip. The kids loved the arcade, while not the biggest it had awesome games like Mario kart, walking dead crossbow game, and a HUGE Pacman game. We only stayed one night so we didn't really explore the whole property but my room was very clean and stayed nice and cool. Would definitely stay here again.
Located in the heart of Downtown, Circus Circus provided a fun-filled expery for people of all ages. Whether visiting the action-packed casino, or playing games in the carnival Midway, Circus Circus is fun for all!
The Hotel and Casino is located in downtown Reno and is family friendly. The rooms in the resort are clean and looks presentable the moment you step inside. Employees at the resort are very friendly and the their service is very good.
We were just doing a walk around the strip for our one real night in Reno for a conference. We had to check out Circus Circus, which didn't disappoint. It had tons of character, and the arcade level made me feel like a kid in the '90s again, which was awesome! We also got the chance to see Jonathan Rinny do some of his balancing act. An unexpected as fantastic experience.
I have stayed at Circus circus many times while in Reno. Have never had a bad experience. The desk people were very polite and professional. A special thanks to the housekeeping gentleman on our floor - he was very accommodating with coffee and other things as we stayed 7 days and didn't require cleaning. Will stay again when in Reno.
Floors are soft and flexing due to age and wear but it's still pleasant. Not much has changed there over the last 50 years. Nice for it's historical value.
Circus Circus is a great budget hotel. It comes with the budget pros and cons. Pros include cheap rates, great location in downtown Reno, and it's attached to the Legacy and El Dorado via a walkway. Cons include outdated rooms (at least that's what I usually get because it's cheaper), and some parts of the building are rundown. On this visit, I reserved a King room and they gave it away to someone else...not sure why since I reserved a King and prepaid. Not too pleased about it but not the end of the world either.
Stopped in for a few hours to kill some time and let my son have a little fun in the arcade. Always a good time and the staff was friendly. They've also made some major improvements in the ventilation as a whole because I walked in and wasn't immediately slammed in the face with that ever-present Reno smell of cigarettes. We also had the chance to see a great little acrobat show while we were in the arcade. We will definitely be back.
The room were clean. The staff were all very friendly and super helpful. We noticed a security guard helping people up and down the stairs. Wonderful experience.
Not only has a casino of adults but upstairs there is an arcade games for kids. But thats not all. They host circus acts. They have food court inside. Very good for a vacation in reno.
I love the machines here!!! The rooms were decent and quiet. Staff was very friendly and at night you're required to show your room key gain access to the elevators to the rooms.
Gambling is a hobby of mines. I have kids as well so I visited Circus Circus to play. While I play my kids play as well. It's awesome. This place really knows how to allow adult parents to have fun. Just some of the workers seems like they hated what they were doing. If the hotel could filter out these EEs it would be lovely. And create a truly unforgettable experience for all.
We enjoy Circus Circus Reno, They have a wide variety of in-house restaurants and entertainment for both adults and kids. Plus after a long day of fun with the kids adults can go downstairs and win alot of cash... I highly recommend this hotel..
Stayed here for the weekend for USATF nationals. The discounted rate was great. Overall the hotel was good. Our room was updated and modern. The room wasn't as clean as it should be at check-in, they clearly did not vacuum. We got moved to another room and it was the same. Staff was friendly. Parking was free and easy, there is also valet and a shuttle to the airport. Views of the surrounding mountains were nice.
It's downtown Reno, so you need to take it for what it is. They apparently upgraded the rooms, however there pillow are still in great need of upgrading. I know this makes me sound like a wuss.
Cheapest rooms in Reno (usually) and good fun for kids. Food court and multiple restaurants keep you fed. Be prepared to spend $$ if you want to play the circus midway or arcade, just about every game is 1$. What you save on rooms will disappear fast there. Clean rooms. The casino smells like lots of cigarette smoke though.
LONG STORY SHORT THEY ARE RUNNING A SPECIAL IF YOU STAY OVER 2 NIGHTS, (WHICH WE DID) THAT THEY WILL GIVE $30 DINING VOUCHER. THEY DIDN'T GIVE IT TO US UPON. CHECK IN & WHEN WE ASKED THE NEXT DAY THEY REFUSED!! FIRST, SAYING WE STAYED ONLY ONE NIGHT(WRONG)! SECOND THEY SAID WE HAD TO USE CODE WHEN WE BOOKED, THE RESERVATION PERSON TOLD ME ABOUT RECEIVING THIS. I AM TELLING YOU THE THREE CONNECTED OWNED BY CARRANO FAMILY WILL REFUSE TO HONOR SPECIALS CURRENTLY ON THEIR WEBSITE.
We did not spend the night here. The casino was nice but they had very few tables opened. They have remodeled and removed the cafe and the buffet. They now have a food court, so you only have a choice Habit Burger, Panda Express or pizza. Not much of a variety.
We were so disappointed in how much the price of the breakfast buffet has went up in price $20.00 dollars. Except when my son was 18 yrs old have I seen some be able to eat that much food. Its unreasonable!!!
I did not personally stay here. I am writing this review because of an employee of yours named Wendy. Tonight I got a phone call from my 23 year old son who was stuck in Reno. I was desperately trying to find a hotel that would allow me to pay over the phone so my son would have a safe and warm place to sleep tonight. Wendy 110 % help me with all of these accommodations. what an amazing heart of gold when he has for making sure that my one and only child was safe tonight. That is all I cared about. Thank u circus circus and thank you again Wendy for your professionalism your kind heart and helping my baby boy. I will recommend you guys to everybody from
Rooms very affordable. I like the Row. You can't use your money tickets in the other hotel machines. It made it very annoying to have to carry vouchers for each casino. Then go back to each casino to cash them in.
The best priced hotel and everything is right there. So much fun and the games are cheap. We go every year and will be going forever. This place never gets old and the kids love the circus acts and shows.
We had to drive through Reno on our way to Kansas from the bay area in California. We just needed a place to sleep for the night. Circus circus provided just that. Comfortable enough. Don't know if I would dig it for a long stay in Reno, though. Looked like it could be fun if you have Rugrats with you.
Our visit was a lot of fun kids have great time at games so did 3 senior age kids. Saw a lot of teens at video arcade as well laughter and fun was contagious. Great place for dinner and family time together. Food court made it so easy for everyone to eat what they like and still sit together. Grand time for all.
How can I start to tell you how terrible that places is. The beds are worn out. Don't even think about seeing anybody on a trapeze they haven't done that for almost a year. It's almost like they're lying to you about it. They say they have people doing acts on the stage. What a joke. I hated that Motel couldn't wait to go home. I spent over four hundred bucks in that place. Went down to my car the next morning broke into. I went to security and ask them why don't they do their job. They told me they don't Patrol down there that the police do it for them. I said well you could at least put in a camera. I will never go to that place again as long as I live I hope you don't either.
Circus circus is a classic and I love it even more now that I have a young child, however I was disappointed to find out that the circus act schedule posted online is nowhere close to accurate. As a result, we were only able to catch one performance during our 2.5 day stay. The dining options here are also mediocre - plan on going to silver legacy or elsewhere for dinner and call ahead if you're within an hour of closing time on a weeknight! I was turned away from 3 restaurants at 8pm because they closed over an hour earlier than their advertised hours.
there are a ton of old style type of slots here. every machine I sat at, I won. my husband also had a great experience, servers were nice& fast. everyone there was cheerful
It worked ok for our visit but I was disappointed with the boondoggle when trying to get between the hotel tower we were in and the other hotel tower or the convention center area. While I understand the impact of a large group can have, I spent too much time waiting for elevators, taking multiple escalators up and down and found myself thinking I should have stayed at the other conference hotel for a little more. The room was clean and beds were great but the halls and overall feel was this place has seen better days.
The room was nice. It's not too obvious where the Sky Tower is from the reception, and that you can take a mini train shuttle to help get there. The midway shows were fun
Hotel was fine but it kind of sucks that the entire Place smells like cigarettes I was there with my child it was a little inappropriate but my son did have tons of fun in the games and we did have a night at the casino kid free the valet though they suck! they drive a car like a f****** race car through the parking lot
Once circus circus became the row, they have no more tables, I don t no more comp nights. It s awful I spend a lot of money there I go about 3 to 4 times a year. Wings & rib festival August night and one time in the snow. They took out the buffet , but my son does enjoy the habit, and the arcade did get better.
Standard downtown casino hotel. Everything wreaks of old cigarette smoke. Hotel showing some age, but not bad. I would not recommend going out streetside during non-core daylight hours anywhere in this neighborhood.
Very neat hotel! There are plenty of things to do! We travelled with a 5 yr old and he had a blast playing in the arcades! The only thing missing was a pool! But other than that it s a great place for a getaway in Reno!
Words can't describe how much i enjoyed the hotel ,casino ,helpful staff at every corner the shows and bands, the family areas for children were so fantastic!wow!!! Planning on regular visits thats for sure!!!
My daughter booked this weekend and we've had fun!! I wish there were more shopping options in the area, but we've had great meals (here and other spots). My daughter is enjoying the booming night life, while I have enjoyed the Circus Circus casino.
Place under construction. Great place for kids. Acrobatic and dog shows are great family fun. Room was dated but clean. Had mini suite which was large, comfy, and had fantastic views. Staff was friendly, helpful and pricing in cafe was reasonable. Felt like games geared to allow children to win. Sure it could be more updated but it looks like they are working on it. Room prices are good value.
