Great formula one race, great experience, but the food lacks diversity, it's just standard stadium food, needs more of a Texas sized menu. Overall it was a great experience to see the formula one race there, I plan to go again next year.

For the F1 race the circuit advertises the Gold B package. That package is advertised to include exclusive shuttle and fast access lanes to the circuit. The shuttle was not exclusive at all and there was no fast access lane as advertised and printed on the paperwork I received with our tickets. Upon asking for help from client services I was told those benefits did not exist. This is blatant false advertising and stealing from your customers.

Husband had a problem with his car. Started out 2 minutes after everyone else. They couldn't start his car. So he had to unstrap himself go to another car restrap himself and then they started it. Asked for an adjusted on what he paid . Justin said at first no one said there was a problem. I showed him my times and my husband's. We both did 7 laps yet I was around 18 seconds per lap slower then him. Told Justin then he should of had 8 or 9 laps in. Simply math. Then Justin said my husband may have drove wide and missed a lap being recorded. My husband and son then did a 2nd race. This time my husband's laps averaged 3 seconds faster yet he got 10 laps in. Go figure. I wasn't looking to get a free race out of it just a credit for time lost. Especially when it's only a 10 minute race. Left there unsatisfied with the way the situation was handled.

I came to COTA for the 2018 MotoGP round. I had seats at turn 15 row 4. It a great place to see the leaning angle and acceleration of the bikes. If I could do it again I would go higher to have more of a higher level perspective.
Overall the track is really cool and there was plenty of stands and food to keep us busy. Parking was also well managed.

I have come to numerous events at COTA, and I have had a great time at each one. I enjoyed the grandstands for the Pirelli World Challenge races, but preferred to walk around the site with my GA tickets I've had at the last two F1 races.

What a great venue! We visit every year for MotoGP and every year we are impressed with their attention to details. If I had to find fault in anything, it would be the lack of water stations. It's Texas and it gets Hot. Outside of that, keep up the great work!

It's a lot of fun, and if you love concerts, cars and/or karts, this is the place for you. The only thing that I didn't like is when the wind is blowing just right, it's harsh in the stands. So bundle up!
If you love looking at cars, check out Austin's Cars and Coffee event.

I have had many good experiences at COTA over the past few years, but my experience at the F1 race was inexcusable. The race was good but getting in and out of the facility was ridiculous. We intended to use the park and ride but as we got closer to the track we noticed multiple signs say that the park and ride lots were full. I ignored the signs and continued to Del Valle high school where the park and ride lots were open and taking vehicles. The communication about parking was horrible and it seemed they were directing everyone to the downtown Austin shuttle so they could charge $25/person.
After the race was over, the line to get back on the shuttle was almost as long as the race track. The shuttles only had one pick up point and the shuttles for the park and ride and downtown shuttle were combined. There should have been multiple pick up points and the different types of shuttles should have been clearly marked. The post-race transportation was a complete organizational breakdown. Very poor communication and execution. We ended up walking back to our car which was about 4.5 miles. That was a much better alternative than waiting in the endless lines for the shuttles.

$40 for parking and a twentyfive minute walk on the highway to the track. Looks like they built a great track and stage then ran out of money for parking, sidewalks, restaurants and other things important to the paying customer. Food trucks for food. Beer is $9/can. Unless you have been there you will have to ask for directions even after looking at a map. Understaffed. Ten thousand people standing in line in the dark waiting for a concert an extra forty minutes waitng for them to convert the track into a concert arena.

This is an awesome venue. I've been to Lone Star Le Mans, F1, and will be attending Moto GP this year. Only tricky part is if you shuttle or taxi in--it's a hike to get to the Grand Plaza. I don't think it's a big problem for most, but I can see that it could be taxing for others.

I too was here for my first F1 event and this will easily be one of my favorite memories and an experience I won't soon forget.
First off getting to and from the race on raceday was fantastic, they provided free parking which I would recommend. They had hundreds of school buses from all over Texas transporting people from the exhibition center we parked at for a 15 minute ride to the racetrack. Going to the race there were hundreds of us in front of us as we waited for the buses, Circuits of the America had everything so streamlined it only took about 10 minutes to get onto the bus. After getting off there was a 15 minute walk from the drop off point to the track.
Once inside it's like being a child your first time at Six Flags or Disney World, you have no idea what to do but you want to see everything. My friends and I got there early enough to walk around the track a few times (which is no easy feat by the way), the drink prices were what you would expect, they also had Circuit of the America glasses to take home with their Long Island Ice Tea's which my girlfriend made sure to get. They had good amount of food trucks but the lines for those had to be at least an hour a piece, I am sure next year there will be a ton more. But regardless there were over a dozen different types of stands to get food, the bathroom situations worked out well, and the general admission seating areas weren't nearly as packed as I expected. They said about 120,000 people showed up but with how spread out everything was you could hardly tell just how many people were actually there. The race of course was fantastic my friends and I were near the food areas in the corridor underneath the grandstands when the race started. And the vibrations and rumbling/reving of the engines was the most intense and surreal experience I have ever had. My friends and I sat right near the grandstands against this VIP food building which worked out quite well.
After the race the 15 minute trek away from the track landed us like 5 thousand people back in line for the buses to take us home. I thought great this was it it's going to take forever to get back, surely enough it was only about 20 to 30 minutes before getting on a bus which was not at all what I was expecting, again Circuits of the America did a fantastic job streamlining and organizing the entire transportation process. Nothing is worse than having a trip/experience ruined on the way out by having to wait for hours. Only thing is my friends who paid for parking to wait quite literally for 2+ hours to get on a bus to take them back to their onsite parking. Just goes to show to utilize the free parking.
Anyways I was most impressed with the entire experience and would absolutely go back again. In fact my friends and I plan on making it an annual thing (I mean how could we not), and hopefully the future experience are half as good and incredible as this one.
