Circuit of the Americas is a complete JOKE. Although the abnormal, heavy rains did indeed make things more difficult, there is absolutely NO excuse for the level of incompetence shown by the management of this venue. Furthermore this is a purpose-built Formula 1 track that touts itself as a "world class venue". Nothing could be further from the truth. There are no facilities to escape the elements (rain or sun), no permanent restroom facilities except under the main grandstand ($$$$), and the porta-potties that were available typically lacked toilet paper and sat in a mud puddle. This also means nowhere to wash hands, change a diaper, etc. and were certainly not handicap accessible. The rest of the stands are bleachers, like at a county fairground or class C high school football field and the "buildings" shown on their map are glorified tents. Food vendors were WAY overpriced even for an F1 or other sporting event, could only be accessed by walking through mud, and were running out of food halfway through the event. The track itself is very nice and the race was good but was completely overshadowed by the horrible venue. Once past the ticket-takers we didn't see any other COTA staff other than first aid at their station. Not a single person to give directions, answer questions, pick up trash, empty trash, or in any other way assist the patrons...NO ONE! We paid $100 for a 45 minute shuttle ride from our downtown parking because there was no parking at the track (again...world-class venue). We tried to leave about an hour before the event was over but ended up waiting in the shuttle bus line for two hours in a dark parking lot (most of the lights were off) to be loaded on a shuttle that left with 13 EMPTY SEATS!! And again there was no one to direct people or answer questions, no "coral fence" to direct the line or prevent line-jumpers, and they were only loading one shuttle at a time. Cars and buses were driving through the line of people...not across the line, THROUGH IT! Returning home, I read past reviews of COTA and found that this experience really had nothing to do with the rain as others have had similar things to say in years past and about other events held there. Today I read an article in the news about how COTA lost so much money on this event blaming the rain and the upcoming Mexican Grand Prix and how their attendance to the USGP has been declining every year. Well DUH! We will never attend another event at COTA and hope to spread the word so that no one else has to go through what thousands of us did this past weekend. We're already making plans to attend F1 in Mexico next year.

This is an exciting place, especially during F1 race. Been there couple of times. First time got there using Uber. While getting there was easy but getting back after the event was a challenge. Had a very difficult time to locate our Uber. The pick up and drop point is quite a walk from the circuit. Second time, bought a parking pass and rented a car. It was way much better than taking the Uber. Finding parking close to the circuit was easy. Circuit itself had multiple point of attractions, obviously, for the F1 event. Zipline, VR experience, merchandise stores are quite a few to name. Overall had a good experience. Will be looking forward to visit again.

I enjoyed Lemans Racing when COTA was capable of being a sponsor. F1 is a blast at COTA. Bathrooms are kept clean. During peak times they haul in additional porta-potties. There are plenty of food options during large events like F1 but....It s Texas be prepared for no shade and incredible heat. Turn 15 has some great shots but you are directly in the sun. Bring sunscreen, hats and an umbrella. As for kart racing keep in mind it s run by young folks that don t communicate well with each other. If the salesperson tells you they will accommodate you and your situation you might find when you get to the track an angry young man might see it differently. The course is flowing and a blast to drive and the Karts are easy to drive. No fighting turns or breaking. Go online and sign up for your drive times as they will not get you in even if they have 45 minutes to an hour of down time. You will find this is one of the best tracks you can drive.

I have been to this event venue on numerous occasions, and there has yet to be a time when you leave feeling you got your money's worth. It seems there's not one situation where they feel they can't scam someone out of money. My husband just came home from a motorcycle event that unfortunately got rained out. The problem is, you pay $20 for parking, and then you get to the front gate and they tell you the event was either postponed or cancelled. You don't get the money you just shelled out for parking back, even though you parked just long enough for you to walk to the front gate and back to your vehicle. These parking attendants were still taking parking fees, knowing full well the event is not happening. When my husband left, they were still parking other individuals, knowing that they would suffer the same fate as my husband. Will not be going to this venue again. It's not good for concerts, and or special events. This venue is a total rip off and not worth the money you'll spend. Do not come here. This venue will ruin your favorite band or sporting event to the point of never wanting to put in the effort to see them again.

I m an absolute racing nut. I love going to COTA for any type of race or concert. I ve been to some very crowded races, including the very first Formula 1 race. Never had an issue with traffic (in or out) at COTA except for the last race that I attended. The traffic leaving after the INDYCAR race was awful. Really can t blame that on COTA since Travis Co Sheriffs dept was in charge of traffic control.

Great track and facilities. Nothing else like it in the US. Still, they could take a lesson from Indy on how to run a race and treat guests.

The track is impeccable and incredible, the access on foot full of mud and really impractical, the GP of Mexico makes me better in that aspect.
