Pretty much exactly what I expected for a trail ride.

Watched a brief instructional video in a western-themed room before starting. They have helmets available you can use if you want to - children have to wear them.

You cannot go into the barn and look at the horses. The horses are brought out into a small pen where everyone gets on and starts the ride, and you get off there at the end as well.

Our ride had about 10 people on it, plus 2 guides. One guide rode at the front of the group, one at the back.

Guides were relatively friendly, very young - I think one was in high school.

The horses are typical trail horses - don't listen to anything you tell them to do and just follow very closely to the horse in front of them. We walked slowly the whole time.

The ride was 90% in the woods which makes it not too bad on hot days. They had fly masks on the horses during the trail ride, which I liked - I've ridden and owned horses for most of my life and many trail ride places don't take very good care of their horses.

They do not allow you to take cell phones, cameras, purses, or anything like that with you on the ride -- so you won't be able to take any pictures during the ride.

There's one porta-potty outside the barn, no facilities inside.
