Way too crowded and loud for anyone to enjoy or actually socialize. Only go if you don't want to be able to hear the people sitting next to you at the table and if you want the wait staff to bump into you every other bite!

The food is average for a Tex-Mex place and our food came quickly.

Really excellent Tex-Mex Cuisines and good Margaritas. The ambiance is really good and the servers are always cheerful. If you are particularly ravenous, the Elvis Presley Combo is a really excellent (and large) dish. The enchiladas are some of the better ones you can find anywhere.

Great service and reasonable price.

Must visit when you're in Austin Texas. Make sure you go to the one downtown. GREAT FOOD. The chip and dips are WONDERFUL. I had the Famous Steak Fajita Burrito, " Loved it. " my wife had the fajitas combo, best fajitas I have ever had.

Yum

Nice setting and servers, but the food was not. Veggie enchilada was bland and overwhelmed by a thick, tasteless tortilla. No spicy vegetarian salsa available (who puts meat in salsa???) Companion's chicken dish was small and equally tasteless. Both had skimpy amounts of cheese.

In all honesty, Taco Bell, awful as it is, would have been a better choice for TexMex, and far cheaper.

I have always had great service every time that I have been here. The food is all delicious, but sometimes leaves me feeling a little bit upset with myself when I walk out. I recommend any of the enchiladas, and top them with the Boom Boom sauce. Do this and you will surely be in for happiness. The happy hour here offers some pretty good drink specials, and endless chips & queso!

The original of the ever growing Chuys empire has a much different feel from the others. The food is great, a staple from these parts, but if you have gluten allergies, none of their meats are gluten free, so buyer beware.

An Austin favorite. Great service and food is as advertised. Not that authentic (some say bland) but taste is individual. Great veggie options if that is your thing. Try the jalapeno cream sauce...very good and unique, use as you would salsa. Prices are fair and affordable.

Great Tex Mex in the original location. I've been here multiple times since it's close to my office. My only complaint is that occasionally the service can be a bit slow and/or grumpy. That varies though. I've had great service and average service. Never bad service.

Ugh, try stewing the chicken. The Chapala Jalisco knows the recipe. Fresh ingredients, amateurs in the kitchen. If that is what Austin calls tex mex. They need to take a trip out of the heart of Texas into south Texas.

Definitely my favorite Chuy's location. Chuy's has my favorite Tex-mex salsa of all time. Their green cilantro dip is also amazing. Great place to go for happy hour; margaritas are decent and the food is good (slather it all in queso).

A good place for Tex-Mex food. I was here on a Sunday night and it was really busy. But I was able to get a table for myself in 15-20 minutes. My server was really sweet and the food came out pretty fast. The quality of the food was good and tasted fresh.

Look, I mean, if this is one of the options that s even on your plate for dinner, just do it already. The music is nice. The decor. The chips. The salsa. Even the chairs and booths are, somehow, mysteriously, higher quality than most. But listen, and sit down for this: what you re really after is the food.

We got queso, the elvis special, a pablo enchilado and a steak enchilada. Queso was top notch. Substantial but not excessive quantities of cheese glazed everything in sight. Chicken enchilada was surprisingly, refreshingly tender and not dry.

And good times were had.

We cater our company meals here on occasion and it's always a favorite. Never has any missing items or anything wrong for 20+ people each time. Make sure to eyeball rewire sauces - they are all amazing!

We have visited several times. Food ingredients are high quality. Service is always prompt and courteous, even when the restaurant is packed. I would highly recommend it. The best times to avoid a crowd is Saturday afternoon, or right when they open for lunch.

The new to go beverages are now less than half the size and still $12.99. This used to be our favorite Friday COVID pick up place for adult beverages but unfair prices are unfair prices. We will no longer be giving Chueys our business.

What a incredible place to eat your first dinner experience at Austin Texas and the happy hour here is amazing with all the free nachos be cheese salsa among so many other dip that you can use. Authentic Mexican restaurant this is the place to stop and have your dining experience. And I am for Roger because of the servers are fantastic for work and will take care of you.

Being in town from out of state, some friends took us here as a good way to experience typical Austin. Chips (light and crispy) were very good. Ordered the Elvis combo for the entree in order to try the 3 kinds of enchiladas. Nothing was weak, but nothing blew me away either. Overall, everything with the selection was decent and solid.

Despite being very busy, the waitress did a good job. One surprise was the creamy jalapeno dip. Very enjoyable and delicious...a must for any future visits.

We had the best waitress. I didn't get her name but she was awesome! We didn't have to ask her for anything because she was already bringing it out. The food was good too and the hostest was super nice and didn't mind showing us the t-shirts.
