They are awful. I submitted my information, called them over and over again for an appointment. Then I get one with a woman that listens to me. Then she goes in the next room and talks to a mean old man to see if they would take my case. It took several months and he called me and said they couldn't help me. Then he got angry with me because I was in shock and asked why they waited so long. He told me I was an intellegent person and could figure it out. He told me I was making him angry. Wrong person to have invilved in helping people. It was domestic violence and they took that long which means every attorney I talk to thinks I waited to long because of this jerk. Now I have nobody to represent me two years later. He should be disbarred. Don't donate to them they are just a waste of time and stressful. Just people collecting checks.

this place is for people that can't get enough information from the notredame court house self help center. Unfortuantely i had to wait several months to find out, you have to go through a screening process, i was called once to schedule an appointment and they gave it away to someone else. Again i had to wait. When i finally schedule the appointment i was greeted by an attorney and was given instructions and that's it. They made copies of my court papers and evidence but that was all. The instructions to set up court for Judicial conference but i willl do all this by myself, i will not be represented.

Don't waste your time or cling onto this place. I wish i could recommend a different place but i will try to find an affordable attorney.

Poor service representative

Poor service representative
There's a lady sitting at the front desk just listening to voice mails.

No help at all passing me around trying to look for an attorney.

They brought me hope, but basically just referred me to the family court self help center. They gave sensible advice, and semi-listened to my case's specifics, but it's evident that they only have enough time to give a minimal effort. If one wants good legal representation, then you get what you pay for.

About Pro Bono Project Silicon Valley

Pro Bono Project Silicon Valley: Providing Legal Assistance to Those in Need

Pro Bono Project Silicon Valley is a non-profit organization that provides legal assistance to low-income individuals and families in Santa Clara County, California. The organization was founded in 1989 by a group of attorneys who recognized the need for legal services for those who could not afford them. Since then, Pro Bono Project has grown into a well-respected and highly effective provider of pro bono legal services.

The mission of Pro Bono Project is to utilize talented and caring attorneys who volunteer their time and energy to work on full and limited scope pro bono cases in family law, domestic violence, and consumer law. The organization believes that everyone should have access to justice regardless of their financial situation.

One of the unique aspects of Pro Bono Project is its focus on limited scope representation. This means that instead of taking on an entire case from start to finish, attorneys provide assistance with specific tasks such as drafting documents or providing advice at a hearing. This approach allows more clients to receive help while also allowing attorneys with busy schedules to contribute their expertise.

Pro Bono Project also offers full scope representation for certain cases such as domestic violence restraining orders or guardianship matters. In these cases, an attorney will take on the entire case from start to finish.

The impact that Pro Bono Project has had on the community cannot be overstated. In 2020 alone, over 1,000 clients were served by volunteer attorneys through Pro Bono Project's programs. These clients received over $2 million worth of legal services at no cost thanks to the dedication and generosity of volunteer attorneys.

In addition to providing direct legal services, Pro Bono Project also engages in advocacy efforts aimed at improving access to justice for all members of the community. The organization works closely with local bar associations and other non-profits to identify areas where systemic change is needed.

If you are interested in volunteering your time as an attorney or supporting Pro Bono Project's mission through donations or other means, there are many ways you can get involved. Visit their website at probonoproject.org for more information about how you can make a difference in your community.

In conclusion, Pro Bono Project Silicon Valley is an invaluable resource for low-income individuals and families who need legal assistance but cannot afford it. Through its innovative approach to limited scope representation and dedicated volunteers, this organization has made a significant impact on the lives of countless people in Santa Clara County over the past three decades.
