This is the first time I ve written a review but this place compels me to leave one! Truly excellent food (we had the set menu) but inattentive and slow service on drinks which for a Friday night birthday dinner isn t ideal. Drinks forgotten entirely, some taking up to 30 mins. As brilliant as the food was, won t be back.

Went there on Thursday, everything was great until a couple hours after I got home I woke up feeling like I am going to be sick. Clearly got food or alcohol poisoning from this restaurant (I had 3 cocktails with A big meal so nothing out of ordinary) when I called them the next day explaining the situation, they said they will make Sure to pass along to general manager and he will call me back. No one called me or emailed with even as much as an apology, ridiculous. It s saturday now and my stomach is still not right.

This place is expensive so I didn t expecting this at all. Beware this restaurant serves sushi and undercooked meat, clearly their standards aren t as high as they portrat they to be.

Would get 5 stars if it wasn't for the price. Very small portions. Staff where very friendly and service was great. Food good apart from the small portions. Pride weekend let to an enjoyable experience.

Cosy, nice Classy bar, nice music- not head banging thank God... dqncy but mello. Psycadelic wall... reminds me of Ibiza. Bit on the pricey side, but not bad for a medium size bar. The back bit is much better than the front. And there is talent thank God! Always need a great view. Lol. I enjoyed it.

Spectacular venue with first class service & fantastic flavour.

We were invited to this Japanese and Peruvian fusion restaurant by our agency for lunch and, as there was a fairly large group of us, we opted for a tapas-like selection of fish, meat and vegetarian dishes. Each plate was impeccably presented and announced by the waiters. Mouth after mouthful of sushi and other tasty delicacies was a delight to the senses. The atmosphere was fantastic. I think you can tell a lot about a venue by their toilets and these were out of this world and an experience in themselves. Well worth a visit!

The dishes at Chotto Matte are all small tapas portion which are made for sharing. We ordered various of dishes to share from the different section of the menu, including sushi, barbecue, saute and tempura.

We started off with the Seabass ceviche which consisted of seabass sashimi, sweet potato, Peruvian corn, coriander, chive oil and citrus sauce. This was one of my favourite dish which had a refreshing flavour and was a good appetizer to start a meal.

Another refreshing and tangy dish we had were the tuna and yellowtail served with onion, ginger, shiso, tomatoes, blackberry salsa. I would had liked some tortilla to accompany this dish.

We tried two of the sushi dishes that are flamed at the table. Aburi, comes with four different nigiri: Tuna yuzu, aubergine miso, turbot and salmon. Many of us felt this could have been flamed a bit longer to give it a seared texture. Sato maki comes with a combination of seabass, salmon and romano pepper with lime soy

Chotto Matte is a great place for a cocktail because you will be spoilt with choice as there is a large range of cocktail on their menu. I tried the Flor de Manzana from their anti-depressant cocktail which is described as cocktail with personality. It combined Finlandia Mango vodka, Akashi Tai sake, passionfruit, Bottlegreen elderflower, lime and apple.

A meal is usually never complete with out dessert but I could have pass on the dessert at Chotto Matte.

The service at Chotto Matte was slow, for both back and front of house. Also, we found at the end of our bill that the waiter had put on four bottles of water with out us knowing. We did order a bottle of still water to start the evening and the waiter poured it for us during our meal. But it would had been courtesy for the waiter to have asked if we wanted another bottle of water each time it was finished. We could have then decided on having tap water for those who wanted it or none at all because our cocktails had arrived.

I was blown away by this experience - I've lived in London 6 years and I have never eaten food this delicious in any restaurant and I've been to a fair few. It was our 5 year anniversary dinner and we had the tasting menu 2, Bill came to More

Amazing menu of sushi and meat dishes. Delicious flavours, the kind that make you ask for a spoon so you can finish the sauce in the dish like a bowl! This is truly where Lima meets Tokyo. Highly recommend! The cocktail menu was also incredible. Their Martini menu is the best both of the old classics and the innovative new ones! And if that's not enough, then their bathrooms are pretty cool.

The service is very high. The restaurant is in standard design. The food is delicious, but not creative. The menu may be somewhat complex for the regular Israeli visitor. The advantage is that on Thursdays and Fridays the restaurant becomes a vibrant and colorful cocktail bar. A selection of huge cocktails and the staff's recommendations are very accurate.

It's great! Quite posh and expensive but having the pre theatre menu makes it all more affordable. Plus the toilets are possibly the best I've ever seen. Really recommended as long as you don't mind fishy food. The staff explained all the dishes really well. Pictured is the pre theatre bento box that comes with prosecco or a soft drink (sadly can't swap prosecco for wine or beer)

Went here for my partners birthday meal and I wish I could score higher than 5 stars. Not only was the food simply amazing and a great variety but the service was impeccable. They paid such attention to detail, id left a note on the booking to make my boyfriends birthday special however not to
Make a fuss as he gets embarrassed easily, our waiter was so discreet in bringing over a complimentary drink and a happy birthday plate of dessert after our meal and removed the sparkler to avoid any fuss. I was so impressed and touched. We can t wait to come back!

I recently dined in Chotto Matte, food wasn't great but good in general. Service was a complete disaster. Useless staff including their bald manager who didn't bother to visit us when I complained about the service and asked for the manager then the waiter talked to him but he never showed up. Our table's waiter was nice but not always around, that's why we were asking other staff members (who were also serving us) for small things like chopsticks, tissues, glass of wine and we wouldn't get them until we ask for the second time. Moreover table was so messy no one was cleaning it up, we had empty starters dishes on the table after finishing our dessert. Very disappointing experience especially when you see careless a manager not motivating his staff.

Visited the restaurant having been there before. Front of house insisted we leave our shopping bags in the cloakroom and wouldn't let us take them to our seat. The food was very nice however we commented during the meal we felt the staff were rude and a couple of times we had to ask for our glass to be filled.
After our meal we collected our coats and bags one shopping bag was missing . The girls in front of us had also lost their coat.
One of the staff said we couldn't prove I had entered with the bag and walked off.

With the manager and they may call me Sunday if not Monday. The manager was very polite and apologised for his star behaviour. Having been there on numerous occasions for work I will recommend we stop using the restaurant.

From opening to 1:00 am it is a perfect place to eat, listen to music to have brunch with friends!
Atmospheric music is the touch of class in this Japanese-style setting to enjoy alone and in company, with medium-high price given the area.

I came here for a friend's bday and it was our first time visiting.
Service is excellent- attentive and fast waiting staff. All staff were wearing face masks.
Food is okay- overpriced for what is is and tasted very average. We couldn't finish the soft shell crab avocado roll as the taste wasn't great. The dragon roll and fatty tuna was nice though. My drink ( Jasmine fantasy ) was nice but my friend had to send her drink (lychee picante) back as it just tasted mostly of chilli.

Have been to this place twice and second time noticing the service is being slow and not very much attentive. Other than that the bar itself has nice setting, music is nice too. Pretty chill on the weekdays, but don't know how busy is it over the weekend.

Decided to try this place for a friend s re-union, very lovely restaurant, superb service and friendly staff, I love their sushi and cooked dishes, not super impressed by desserts. Overall awesome experience and will try other desserts next time.

Venue is really nice but on my visit the food was very slow in coming out. Almost 2 hours between the first and last dish to arrive. Also the sashimi we had wasnt fresh. Can tell that all was frozen and all tasted like water. For the money you're expected to pay for a dinner there I would have expected it to be fresh.

Chotto Matte serves a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian food, which was good but a little expensive considering the small serving sizes. Service, unfortunately, was very slow and it took them forever to take our orders.

Its fine nothing more. Had to ask 3 different people to get served. Cocktails were as much as you'd want to pay and weren't very well balanced.
They were having some tech issues with the lights at the time which was amusing.

Absolutely fabulous. Great atmosphere, sublime food with surprising and unusual flavours.

Although the actual standard of the dishes were probably not Michelin star worthy, I ENJOYED the dishes more than many Michelin star restaurants I've been fortunate enough to go to.

My was is gluten-free and she had a special gluten-free menu. The taster menu I had (Nikkei I think it was called) was not only exquisite, it was huge. For a man with a large appetite, it's rare I'm left not wanting more; and I was STUFFED!

The menu itself was diverse without being laboriously long.

Toilets were also worth a mention. I'll let you discover them for yourselves but it's nice to see a bit of theatre in a part of the dining experience that's usually forgotten.

All in all, bloody good and thoroughly enjoyed.

This is a culinary experience! Between Latin American and Japanese influence this is a great summary of influences on modern Peruvian food. The atmosphere is busy yet not overwhelming. A must go.

My favourite restaurant in London, frankly speaking. It combines my two favourite cuisines: Japanese and Peruvian, set up in a modern decor and chillout vibe. I have spent several birthdays/anniversaries here and each time the menu confirms my opinion that this restaurant is truly a gem in the heart of London. A combination of unique flavours that go so well together and impeccable service.

A great place for a Japanese-Peruvian fusion experience. The food was brilliant all of it was served to share & we loved everything. I recommend you go with a group so you can try as many dishes as possible. This restaurant is a little pricy but for the quality food you get it's worth it!
