This is such a great casino. Everyone here is so wonderful and I always have a great time thanks to the staff. I choose to come to this casino over any other one around. I come all the way from Portland and it is well worth it!

Went to gamble and spent several hours there and won enough to pay for trip there. Only played on 3 machines and the ones with bonus games on top of machine seem to be a lot better.
I recently visited Chinook Winds Casino to show someone what it was like there, and was even more impressed with it than I expected. My favorite parts were the willingness of the staff to be as helpful as possible, the reasonable cost of the events/concerts that they hold, and my favorite part of all was their blackjack table with a $3 minimum. If I were them I would open up at least another 2 tables just like it, since it was full the entire time I was there.
Come on, get happy tour was fun! Facilities are nice, clean and a nice size. Staff was wonderful.
Only one negative comment, and it is s big one: this is a smoking establishment, the cigarette smoke is thick and offensive. If there are air cleaning facilities, they are not doing the job. Left with stinky hair, clothing, and belongings and we were in the concert venue, not the casino.
Always look forward to going there. Usually have fun, although I usually lose all my money but such is life! Staff is always very nice. Crab cakes up in the bar are shade spendy, oh boy are they good!
It was good but not the best casino I've been too. They cleaned the stations often and enforced mask wearing which is great. But a decent amount of machines were out of service and I was harassed by a few men that were clearly too drunk to even be allowed to keep staying so that definitely didn't make me feel super safe or comfortable.
On the way back from the Beach. We stopped by for the Buffet. Unlike when we left, when we arrived 4:30 p.m. the line wasn't that long. Ten minute wait. We had a great time on the eats. Not all the food was good, like the Cherry Tomatoes and a few other things BUT still worth it. For us from now on IF THE LINE ISN'T VERY LONG? A new place to eat on wal back from the Ocean.
I a great time. This was mine and My man's first time first vacation in 5 years and my first time at Chinook Winds. I didn't want it to end. Everyone that worked this was so friendly. Thank you so much, for a great weekend.
The casino is nice and has a good view from the restaurant. Food from the deli was moderate but you ha e to eat in smoke filled rooms. The venue for concerts and events does not elevate enough for the seating they have. The person in front if you will block your view. The monitors on either side of the stage are of poor quality. The chairs are designed for less than 1 hour of sitting and the chairs are linked together making seating unenjoyable.
Stayed at Chinook Winds Hotel last night and my wife and I both had a very miserable stay there. Our room (Bldg Z?) was right next to some kind of very loud machine that ran constantly all night. So...pretty much zero sleep for us. The TV in the room pretty much did not work. Was hard to watch through the pixelated picture. My wife was sick most of the night after we ate at the Buffet. The food was far from the best we had there before. I did not eat much there....the food was unappetizing to say the least. Maybe better oversight on the serving line. A lot of food mixed in with other food and food spilled on the serving line around stainless steel serving pans. It was just an overnight getaway for us. Turned out to be a bust. Not sure we will go back there for food or hotel stay. Chinook....You guys can do better than this I'm sure.
My husband ordered the stuffed halibut with mashed potatoes. The halibut was cooked well, but the stuffing included green and white onions that weren t mentioned on the menu. The mashed potatoes were 100% instant and the side of vegetables was over cooked mush. I order the 12oz prime rib with baked potato. The meat once trimmed of excessive fat was maybe 6oz and lacked that salty goodness of a good seasoning. We ordered some other items, but nothing worth mentioning. Everything just lacked flavor and quality. Pretty bummed, this being our 1st meal at a restaurant in months.
I was charged $625 to my debit card, but signed a receipt for $555. It s virtually impossible to talk to management and when you call reservations to question the transaction, they hang up on you
Great food, great service. We went to the stake house and my boyfriend ordered the surf and turf. He had never had lobster before and now he loves it! I had ordered a wine that I ended up hating so they let me exchange it for another one that was great. Will be back again.
I went to the restaurant. It was okay. Because of Covid-19, it is now basically a cafeteria where they serve your plate. The nice thing is they allowed children to eat there. For the price I did not feel like the selection and/or variety of food was as it should have been, but this was my first time to go, so maybe it was better before.
It's like any other casino. Has a really good buffet. It's a joke to have a non smoking area but allow smoking in all other areas. Smoke is still in the building and we're all still breathing it in. They need to ban smoking in the casinos as well. It would be a much more pleasant experience.
Took u huge group of family and friends to the casino you could not win anything no matter of amount of bet let alone get a bonus horrible experience will not visit again spirit mountain is a 1000 times better
1st visit in several years. Very observant of Covid-19 restrictions. Spent about half an hour, won $40. Not crowded & felt comfortable. Will go back sometime.
Four of us agreed the seafood buffet was not that good. The clams and shrimp were ice cold the potatoes and gravy was not that good the deserts were good and the alcohol is way over priced. We could have eaten elsewhere for less than half the money and got better food. It was better the last time we eat there. We did agree there are far better places to eat and we will not do the seafood at Chinook winds again. I would bet we are not the only ones who were disappointed.
Great casino with old and new slot machines, keno, bingo, elevator and escalator to the second floor, buffet, poker room. The snack bar has a separate fryer for French fries only, which is great if you are gluten intolerant! I ordered the hamburger basket without a bun or condiments. It tasted wonderful with shredded lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, and red onion, and the curly fries were a special treat since they use the separate fryer. The steakhouse has a beautiful view of the ocean, talk to your server about options for food allergies. The non-smoking area is not a separate room with a door, but it does have a good filtration system so it's not bad at all. The gift shop is great for souvenirs, clothing, and jewelry.
Very expensive for what you recieved. Bed was comfortable but the room smelled like smoke and the furniture wasn't very comfortable and looked very worn. We will stay somewhere else next time for a better rate and more comfort. The restaurant was pretty darn good enjoyed all the meals we had there.
Great casino for playing tables games and not having to drop $15/hand. They have a nice variety of slot machines and games. The only thing I feel is a little lame is having to purchase alcohol while you're playing.
I was surprised how smokey it was in there, but I know that you can have smoking in casinos it was OK the venue was great to see a show and that's why I gave it 3 stars
Fun casino, good games, it is a non smoking casino, they do provide a room upstairs for smokers so if you're a smoker or are with one (which I was) you can't smoke and play.
You build a casino on the beach.. put your parking lot where beach access use to be ..then send security out to Harrass locals for parking and watching the sunset. You don't own the beach ... and no one should have to gamble and give you money to enjoy it. Get over it.
Had a good time. Wish the free water and soda we're closer to the gambling area. You have to walk all the way to the back of the deli which has bright flourescent lights that do not fit in with the atmosphere. 1 cashier working the deli, slowest line I've ever stood in very slow at the register. If you don't need food or water, your better off to avoid that area. No place to sit and enjoy an adult beverage. The bar has gambling at each seat and only about 8 seats total, always full. People sat at machines not playing for a place to sit and talk. Not a good place for an entire evening, good for a pitstop for an hour or so.
The room was Ok not the cleanest place we have stayed at but it worked ! We enjoyed a good night of playing at the casino and had a great dinner up stairs .The staff was very friendly and helpful ,good job ! Probably will do it again some time !
Well let's just start here...had security come to our suite telling us we was making to much noise when we was at the room for maybe 10 mins getting ready to go use sauna. Threatening us that we was going to have to leave ASAP. Went down to front desk and she could not find anywhere there was a disturbance. We had won at casino pit boss "Tim" didn't like my attitude when I said I would never gamble there again. So my guess is he looked up where I was staying and sent the goon squad to our room with threats. Needless to say we cancelled the last night and spent my birthday driving 3+ hrs back home. Would never recommend this place to anyone.
This review is specific to the management of events at this casino. I arrived for a show 1.5 hours before the start time to pickup my pre-purchased tickets at will-call. Spent at least half in hour in line waiting to pick these up. Almost no signage or control of the line as it began to snake around the lobby. Once I finally had my tickets, I decided to grab something quick to eat. Yet another 30 minute wait in line. Management: when you see lines like this re-task some your people to open new registers! After all this it was finally time for the show... after waiting in yet another poorly managed line. Once inside the venue, which had seen better days, I realized my $60 seat was actually a portable chair jammed into a row with seat numbers taped to their back. Really, not cool! I was planning on having a meal post event and playing some slots; but after everything else I didn't want to spend another dollar in this place. Truly a poor experience.
We were told it would be a 30 minute wait for dinner as a party of adults and two children. We waited for over an hour, and we're only seated because we complained and requested a refund. We could easily see many open tables and plenty of people leaving. It was very frustrating with two hungry, tired children. We will not be returning for their budget again, especially when it was $66 for 4 people and the options were limited and not very flavorful.
The basic rooms leave more to be desired as they are outdated. I have stayed here a few times over the years and learned that the suites are worth spending some extra money on to get a cleaner, fresher, and larger space. I am not a cigarette smoker so staying in a standard room that may smell of smoke is never fun. The casino allows smoking as well which is a bit of a downside but to be expected at most large casinos. There are some non smoking areas of the casino but they are small. Overall, the casino floor itself is very large and offers a wide selection of standard table games and slots and there seems to be big winners here regularly. The buffet has a decent selection of options but quality of food overall is really average in my opinion. The big draw at this property is being located right on the beach, having access to a nice large casino and close proximity to shopping in the town of Lincoln City.
