View fantastic, ocean view king view, great.
Lousy pillows though.
If you love to roll the dice its for you. Make reservations in advance tho. And bring some money to blow.
We've visited all of the major Oregon casinos and Chinook Winds is by far the best. To start, I like the inside ambiance. It reminds me of Vegas 30 years ago; lights are low, machines are varied, lots of winning laughter, spectacular upstairs restaurant ocean view, and friendly helpful staff (Bobbi at the cafe, Marissa at Keno, Barry and many others at Craps). We recently stayed at the hotel in a 4th floor suite and found the check-in (Laura) very welcoming and the room clean and again, spectacular view. The public areas in the hotel like the elevator and hallways are not getting enough daily cleaning, so mgt: you need to set better expectations there.
The machines are real tight and no card games due to Covid 19. Lots of drunk tail made up for it, always a good time.
If you're interested in getting get rid of some money this is a good destination
I was not happy, I went as part of my birthday and did not enjoy it, will not go again, felt as though they wanted my money but not my company
Restaurant choices in the casino are not good, buffet is only open certain days, steak house hour wait, the deli use to be really good but now there's very few items, mainly burgers, and plant burgers, no fries with burgers, everything's extra, no deli sandwiches or potatoe salad, very limited menu, was very disappointed
We went to the Comedy on the Coast show at the casino. We had dinner in the lounge before which was great & Cindy our waitress was fantastic! The comedy was great. The drinks at the bar in the show was equally great tho seating arrangements were weird. I'd definitely go again.
Friday night all you can eat crab legs! Great! No cedar plank salmon?! What? That was our favorite at this buffet and now it's gone. Loads of sugar free desserts? Not any more. So this is now just your run of the mill buffet which is priced at $22 on Friday night. Too much money considering I have to loose a percentage of my lung capacity breathing in all of the cigarette smoke, COUGH! The staff are very friendly but I feel sorry for them with all of that smoke. When I got home I immediately tossed my clothes in the washer because of the smell. Lots of smoke free restaurants in LC.
I tried out for survivor at this casino/resort and had a fantastic time. In 2015 the process was messy, the line long, the room small and overheated. This time in 2016 they had us in a big beautiful room, and gave us all our own private tables. This was both nice but also isolating. The cigarette smell that permeates the entire building hurt my throat, but also made nostalgic for a time I am too young to remember when cigarettes were allowed in bars. It was a novelty worth experiencing even though I am still coughing up the memories 24 hours later.
Motel 6 is much nicer. Location is good but this hotel was build in probably 1960. Very small with cramped quarters and it looks run down. Staff was nice. The clientele is sketchy as well, they come back from the casino at 3am drunk pissed and screaming. I will Never stay here again. A casino hotel should have decent rooms but these are way overpriced for what they are. You ll get a better value anywhere else in Lincoln city.
We just went to the Casino to play certain slots and I have asthma and I had to walk thru heavy smoking areas to get to the slots so that was surprising to me. I turned to my husband and said I thought you couldn't smoke in buildings and he said there aloud to smoke in Casinos and I was like wow I didn't know that. So we didn't stay long and I had to hold my breath as we quickly walked thru the areas. I didn't have my inhaler with me it was In the hotel room. Not a good place for it. It was fancy Casino I just couldnt handle the smoke and I didn't like having to walk thru the smoke areas.
Non Smoking Casino!! It is so nice to walk into a casino and not smell smoke. Covid has brought SOME good changes.
Had a blast, very clean and super nice employees. Have fun and relax I will be back definently
It has lots of parking, nice people and the inside is very pretty, but any time I've been there the food is just ok at best. Their machines are so tight we can't seem to win a thing. It makes it hard for me to go there when I know I can go just down the road to the Spirit Mountain and know their food is really good and we at least win enough to keep playing for the entire evening and on occasion hit a nice size win.
Very nice casino good location close to the beach and several food options inside and hotel close by
Won't stop again, we spent too much money and didn't even win a dollar.
Had dinner in the steakhouse last night. Husband had halibut cooked to perfection. I had scallops and they were the best I have had. Waiter did not try and hurry us and let us dine and knew when to place our order. Highly recommend you have a dinner with them..
They need to enforce the everyone wears a mask rule.
Clean , cozy and affordable. We chose a room facing the parking lot if your anything like us you ll be spending more time outside of your room taking advantage of the many amenities, your manly using the room to recuperate. One of the nicest budget friendly places to stay in Lincoln city . I need curtains like these for my apartment! They really block out any outside lights so the nightlife will not interfere with your sleep. Note some of the rooms are quite close and share a small corridor, be respectful to the other guest near you because they re going to be able to hear you outside their door . Overall a great place for a short term escape from the day to day.
Good food choices. Seems to have the lowest payouts of any of the coastal casinos. Very clean and good service though
Went to the Daughtry concert. This is a great venue for an intimate concert experience. Loved it.
Food is mediocre, the place is small and uninviting.
Everytime we visit, machines pay very poorly. Prefer Spirit Mt and ilani
This is one of the most lame casinos I've been to, a lot of the slot machines are ancient and you have to go outside and smoke in a tent, a tent, really!!!
My ex won money there recently plus great hotel option nearby. View of Pacific ocean from level 2.
Nice clean casino, staff was very friendly and courteous. Live gaming.
It is a casino... Smoking is too common on most of the floor. But fortunately it knows not to blow over to the small non-smoking section (ok, that was sarcasm). There are great views from the upstairs bar. The staff are friendly and helpful, but casinos just aren't my thing.
The food in the restaurants is pretty good, as is the service.
Two floors and only a couple card rooms no thank you
I went to the casino to bring a friend I am not one to gamble but I was very excited when I open my phone and opened up the Pokemon Go app. They have a gym and two poke stops in the casino. I was able to play until my phone battery died went out to my car charged it and played some more. The amount of Pokemon around the casino was insane I got at least two miles if not more of walking in and easily could have had more had my phone battery not died so quickly.
My interactions with the staff was helpful the building was clean the food was good parking was a bit of a nightmare but that's really the only negative thing
Great casino. Nicer than most Vegas casinos. Will return again for sure
I love this place with a fantastic view of the ocean. The beach is literally right outside your room. Extras are the casino and just minutes from the Outlet Mall or glass blowing where you can blow your own float (way too cool) should you not be lucky and find one left behind by the "Float Fairies " plus staff always treats you wonderful.
We love this Casino and Hotel. Cozy rooms, fantastic restaurants too
It was fun. We usually hit up Spirit Mountain but went the extra 30 minutes to try Chinook Winds. Didn't love the casino but with the ocean being a 48 second walk away, it gave me a chance to take a break from throwing my money away and enjoy the Oregon coast for an hour on a GORGEOUS day.
Everyone was friendly and nice and they were working hard to make sure everything was sanatized because of the pandemic.
Amazing, just got done watching chicks with hits concert. I had so much fun.
The room was clean and inviting. The view of the ocean from our bed was amazing. Shuttle service to the casino was great!
it was a nice place to eat in the buffet, food was good, but it's expensive to eat. @ dinner it's 20.00 to $23.00, for that at least serve crab legs and steak. We're not gamblers, but if were, having their card with points will cut down the price, but not much. Seniors only get a dollar off. Try lucky eagle, at least you get crab legs and steak!! the employees were ok. It's not as packed as a restaurant should be especially at a casino. Cigarette smells are strong everywhere you go, they need a stronger, better system to help control it. What do you expect, it's a casino!!!!
Of course the rooms are overpriced. Nothing special about the rooms.
Front desk people were not at all friendly.
But there is a private beach & the casino is within walking distance, so that is what you are really paying for.
The casino does offer free shuttle service from other hotels and business in Lincoln City.
Always a fun place to stop when we're at the beach. Usually one craps table operating with a $5 minimum, even on holiday weekends, and a couple of $5 blackjack tables too. Good assortment of nice new slots and older ones with low minimums. My only complaint is that they have a very strict rule against cigars and pipes. Twenty people blowing cigarette smoke in a dealer's face, hey no problem; find a nice out-of-the-way slot machine to sit down and enjoy a small cigar, and security is on you in thirty seconds. Buffet is mediocre, Seafood Grill is excellent.
Payouts for 2019 BCA 8 ball tournaments. **Zoom in to see details. You're welcome
Single, doubles and team.
Me and my husband usually come here once a month for their brunch. Let me tell you over the last couple of years this brunch has gone down hill. I remembe 2 years ago on mother's day how much of a wonderful brunch buffet they had, this year not so much. I'm very very disappointed on how bad the quality of food has gotten along with the variety. I don't find the nearly $20 per person justified any longer. Super disappointed. I was so looking forward to the mothers day brunch since I wasn't able to go last year but finally had time to go this year. Service was not the best either. Waiter seemed annoyed she had to work and bring us our drinks and when we asked for her to take some of our plates off the table I caught her rolling her eyes. Anyways.....I doubt I'll be back for the buffet/brunch again.
Good service, fun space....we did not win big but will definitely go back!
We enjoy our time here everytime we come out! Wish the machines would pay more but love their drinks and rooms
We went to the buffet since we weren't sure what they were in the mood for. They had a wide variety of options. The grilled chicken and the prime rib were very good. I didn't even look at the desserts because I was too fill. The salad bar was very fresh and had lots of choices. The only thing I didn't like was that the busboy passed us multiple times and never took any dishes off our table, even though it was obvious that we were finished with them. Otherwise, this is well worth the money and cheaper than going to a standard restaurant in Lincoln City given that your meal includes soups, entrees, desserts and non-alcoholic beverages.
We had a great time. The Hotel staff were exceptional and casino staff very accommodating. The only grump on the whole encounter was the cashier at the buffet, We all have a bad day every once in a while.
They making you wear a mask and I never win when I go there
Won and lost many times here but it's a classic very large and there are great dining options
Beautiful casino with employees who seem distracted and some looked not very happy. That was just my feeling as I walked through the casino. Very few smiling faces. We ate there on two separate occasions, one at the nice restaurant next to the buffet. We had fish and chips which were delicious and we were treated well by the waitress. The next day we ate at the buffet which had very good food but no interaction with anybody. Maybe I'm a little picky but I like it when an employee smiles at me when I smile at them or says hello.
Honeymoon flopped but nice casino although it didnt give back
The place was great but the room I was staying in was a little bit small
Enjoy the upstairs Steak House. Great views and consistently prepared menu. Waitstaff is friendly and attentive.
The Best Fireworks show for their 24th Anniversary! Our family loved it.
I am an greatful member of X and I went to sopport a friend in his success journey I found that my vices are alive and well still had a amazing time
1st time on this side of the coast. Was fun and food was good. Didn't lose much. Was worth it. Food and hotel was great
I love Chinook Winds because it has some of the most amazing people in the world! God bless there establishment for everything they contribute to and I'm sure it's a lot! Sincerely from your friend Cowboy Carlos Santiago Rodriguez.
Took the family here to eat at the buffet. It was well stalked but the food was bland. They had tried tip on the cutting board and it was very good. The service was attentive and polite. There was no smoking on the second floor where the restaurant is. That was nice.
I gave 3 stars only because I lost. I know it is a casino and they are supposed to make a profit, so I give 4 stars because security booted out some tweakers and only 2 stars for the stinky cigarette smell. I will try the seafood buffet on Friday.
Always fun. I win downstairs more so than upstairs but rarely do i walk out empty handed. Theres always events or even dancing. Great food and good times at the beach.
What a sight to behold. Thank you Chinook Winds for hosting such a cool and honorable event! As always a special thank you to all military past & present.
If you are a fan of paying 100 bucks for 10 mins of play time. This is the place for you. Not me though, I thought the whole thing was stupid.
Hated it. Too much cigarette smoke. There is a designated NO SMOKING area with NO DOOR SEPARATING THE CIGARETTE smokers from the non smokers! Had to leave after only being there for 8 min. I was winning, too. Cashed out and left. NEVER going back there. Forget it.
It's a nice place with good food and good food choices
My go to place on the Oregon coast for relaxation with a little casino action.
I am very pleased with how the Casino is looking out for everyone's safety. Protecting all of us from this virus. Non-smoking is perfect. If u smoke, might as well not wear the mask. I have been to Spirit mtn and smokers there just lower the mask and set and be normal, blowing like all get out. So, glad you do best for all. Keeping machines clean and personnel helps to make sure people wear their masks. Loving it, and IT IS BETTER AT THE BEACH.
Went for our 25 wedding anniversary dinner. All very nice and food was GREAT! All staff very nice and attentive. 5 stars for the staff and food.
Only complaints: there was a sub-woofer contest in the parking lot and there was consistent, ongoing, loud thumping and vibrating!!! We would have left but we had reservations and wanted to enjoy a nice place. The restaurant didn't seem to even have any background music playing to help deflect noise. Check their events calendar before you go!!!
And they allow smoking in the casino (didn't know that was allowed ANYWHERE anymore), so not the best smell.
They should have shut that contest down at 5pm so people could eat in peace :(
This place is beautiful and clean. Love the layout and architecture. Just flows . love how they have some old school slots with the handle you can pull. Brought me back to the goold old days.
Went to see the Festival of Trees with exclusive pictures of the FB Lincoln City Crafty Chick tree
This casino used to be a beacon of great gaming - and for the most part, it's a decent. The smoke forced me out of there after about an hour! It took away from my gaming experience, having burning eyes. There is a non smoking section... But that a rear still had a good cigarette smell. Nothing against smokers, if my eyes are burning, I can't take the smoke. Didn't stay long, by the time I did spend, I did have some fun gaming.
Great place and incredible cleanliness. My wife and I are originally from Vegas and this casino was doing it right. The staff were very attentive and diligent in ensuring all spaces were clean. Bartenders and cocktail servers were great as well!
Thank you
Its a great place to lose money;) the snacks are good but the food is ridiculously overpriced.
Really good food and fun in the casino. Beach access and great place to fly kites.
Took my daughter for her 21st birthday. Had a great time. A bit bummed that the buffet is changed due to covid but lunch was still delicious. I come here at least twice a year for billiards tournaments and can't wait for them to start back up! Lots of new machines, new foods, and fast friendly customer service! If you are in the area you should definitely go, it really is better at the beach!
More smokers here than I've seen in a place over the last 20 years. Hard to breathe on the main casino floor.
Spending our 5 year anniversary where we got married. Magical then and now
The casino was being very cautious about germs and checking everyone's temperature at the entrance in order to protect all it patrons. Chinook winds also required everyone to wear a mask inside.
Grat casino. RV parking convenient, machines cleaned immediately... Will be back to normal with return if food!
