Muti is just the best. It was a fantastic evening of Beautiful Music
World-class music in a gorgeous concert hall. Unique, creative programming. What's not to like?
We always enjoy Chicago's best music at Symphony Center.
What can I really say about the CSO - world class orchestra, arguably the best in the country. This was my first time back in years, heard Mozart's 38, Mozart's Horn Concerto, and Beethoven's 2nd - all breathtaking.
We went to Roam around with my sister & Family. We liked the area with beautiful views!!!!!
Balcony seats are very cramped and poor sight lines but the CSO itself is obviously fabulous and always great to listen to.
Wow! A perfect venue for a great dinner. The Illinois Restaurant Association blew it out for this one. An Italian Feast at Symphony Center. Can't wait to see what is in store for next year!
Beautiful place to come listen to play the CSO. Comfortable seats with room for the legs, but a little narrow.
Attended the fusion performance by Zakir Hussein Edgar Meyer et al. Got second row seats. Enjoyed it a lot. Great sound, great ambience.
We go here to hear great music, and have not been disappointed. I've also gotten to sing on the stage many times with the Old Saint Pat's concert choir in their Siamsa na nGael annual concert. Amazing staff, always a great experience!
It was amazing! I would definitely be interested in another concert. ***Advice*** reserve a parking spot south grand parking garage. Its maybe 100-250 feet from the building.
The best concert hall in the Midwest, great location.
We went here for a performance of Griege by the Chicago Civic Orchestra. It's a beautiful building and it was a fantastic night!
Was there for a wedding in one of their event spaces. Very cool vintage building. Looks like some old French palace. Very cool. We also snuck into the box seats in the symphony hall, very cool. Great views and a cool balcony and a sweet park across the street for wedding photos. One of the best wedding venues I've been to.
Gorgeous venue and beautiful music in a historic city. Highly recommended
Conviniently located. Love the coat check. I wish the bathroom had been upstairs. The seats were very comfortable. The room itself was beautiful. I would have loved to hear the pipe organ
Phenomenal venue. Great performance space for the Chicago Symphony.
The venue is easy to find, the staff are very helpful and professional, and even if you get a seat with an obstructed view, the orchestra is phenomenal and each instrument can be heard regardless of seating
We really enjoyed our time here. Incredible building and very friendly staff. The Harry Potter event was amazing!
Beautiful Venue full of extraordinarily talented artists
We saw a Japanese taiko (drums) group which was awesome. The Symphony Center has performances in many different kinds of music, not just classical. Check their schedule
it sounded like there was anorchestro playing the whole time!?!?!
Wonderful center work great acoustics! Just wish tickets were cheaper so I could go more often!
Good place to listen and watch our great symphony orchestra.
Fabulous venue for music of all kinds particularly classical with perfect acoustics. Seats are comfortable and sound is good no matter where you are seating. (Picture: all decked out for Christmas.)
Once Upon A Symphony is a great introduction to classical music for toddlers.
Chicago symphony center is a wonderful place to see a concert. The Chicago Symphony is fantastic and always does a superb job. Other events are top notch as well.
Wonderful facility that includes Orchestra Hall and several other performance spaces as well as a restaurant and gift shop.
Very disciplined orchestra, but style and repertoire is a little too conservative for my taste.
They have beautiful classical music playing here...they rarely have free performances here but it is a great way to add culture into your life. It's spacious and has wonderful acoustics in there. So if you're a big fan of classical music, this would be a definite place to attend!
Phenomenal presentation, visually stunning, & spellbinding!!
Wonderful hall for enjoying music. Venue is a historic and offers pretty good views even from the upper balcony.
World class orchestra housed in a beautiful concert hall. They have a variety of shows besides the CSO including Jazz and Irish Folk music.
I saw them perform the music along with Empire Strikes Back. I went in with really high hopes and it was better than I could have imagined
I have been here twice to see Distant Worlds and it was great both times. The venue is really nice and the staff is very kind and helpful.
The crowning jewel of the city's artistic life. Blasphemy not to attend with sobriety and respect. Come as often as you can: it keeps you grounded living a restless city. Try Terrace Left for chamber music and recitals.
An impeccable place. And it offers all the musical styles that one wants. During my stay in Chicago, I went to listen to the symphony orchestra, works by Stravinsky, Bartok and Debussy. Yesterday I went to the Monterrey Jazz Festival. I left both events impressed with the quality of musicians who performed the works. The theater is indescribable. The acoustics are perfect, no matter where you are sitting.
A perfect place to start a full night.
:)
We started to go to CSO on family days, but have come back for several other performances this season. Each time we are more and more impressed by the talent of the performers.
This place is beautiful and the people are supernice
I came to Distant Worlds today and it did not disappoint! I waited a decade to attend and I am glad Chicago was the venue I selected. Thank you to the staff working the event, you were very courteous and attentive; and thank you to Arnie Roth and the Distant Worlds Symphony, you are the best!
Check out the low cost practice events where you can see the symphony rehearse.
Fabulous orchestra, world-class. Do not hesitate to purchase tickets and come for a performance.
A fantastic orchestra hall. Very representative of one of the best symphony orchestras if the world, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. The acoustic is simply amazing. The hall is elegant modern and impeccable. The concert was amazing. The Tchaikosvky piano concerto 1 was performed with great technique style and precision. It was really wonderful. The only thing I was not happy about it was the space in the seats in the upper gallery. I'm 5'10" and I could barely fit in the chair. The price for the upper balcony was 51 dollars per person. Too pricey for those right seats. Over all great experience.
The Civic Orchestra performed and they were wonderful. It is one of the best bargains around. The conductor wore us out just watching. She was amazing. A visit to Symphony Center for any if their programs is always a treat.
Absolutely beautiful music. The Christmas performance was a must see. We will be returning soon.
Great venue, great performance of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
The place is beautiful and the architecture is amazing
How to have great experience...attend the symphony. The end.
Caught a Chicago Civic performance. Even with a cheaper seat on a high tier, the acoustics are fantastic.
World class music. Easy to get to. Parking can be tricky depending on performance day and time.
Always a stunning venue. Cecile Salvant was a powerful talent.
My mom works here as a violinist. There are many shows that they do.
