So good

Great grocery store! Not as pretty and shiny inside as the HyVee or Dillons, but they have quality products for a great price. Always do a walk through of the produce department, sometimes they have amazing deals (I just bought a 2lb bag of onions for $0.29. Yeah you read that right. 29 CENTS!) And they often feature local produce for a good deal as well, which is fantastic. Check them out for sure!

Wow what a horrible experience I had at the store. I bought a fill brisket from the store on the 23 of December for a dinner coming up. O didn't realize my brother had already purchased one. I went the next day t return my purchase only to be told by an assistant that there's no returns for meat purchases. I don't like making a big deal of things as such. But, the meat was about 15 lbs and around $68.00. I asked to speak with a manager, he comes out very rude insisting that the store didn't have to give a refund. Now, I'm curious as to why a grocery store that sells food to the public doesn't make it clear regarding what items can be returned and which can't. They also told me it's against health code regulations to accept returned meat hmmm. What happens if you find a better price? Or if the product is bad? The customers are stuck with something they don't need and just out of the money. Also it would have saved me the inconvenience of coming back to the store.! It's funny I've never experienced this at Hy-Vee or Dillon's before or any other store for that matter. at It's common courtesy at the very least, to state ANYWHERE what items can and cannot be returned. It was a mistake to even consider Checkers. Lesson learned the hard way I guess.

I both shop here personally and do bulk Business with them and let me tell ya, this is the place! Great, often local, produce and awesome prices. Checkers xtra card is amazing for racking up points at other local places, saving money on fuel, and getting free groceries!

Love this store! I've been grocery shopping here since I was little. Great prices and a family friendly atmosphere. Great meat prices from their on site butcher and fantastic bread choices from their bakery. Two thumbs up

Because of checkers we are able to eat well on a budget. My husband and I love to cook and we can always find fresh produce for reasonable prices. Thank you for being here for our family and our town.

Love!

Great grocery department helpers-for the most part. My only complaint is this super tall grocery worker who is always very negative sounding with customers, even from simple requests. It almost seems like he doesn't have time for us 'nobody's'. I was also concerned when I saw a produce manager (nametag said Wes) berating his employee in front of customers. It was hard to witness.

I absolutely love Checker's! They have the best selection of groceries across many nationalities and the prices are always pretty low. The staff is always pretty helpful and friendly. I love that I can bag my own groceries here. I was a bagger at a small town grocery store growing up, so I get annoyed when my groceries aren't bagged to my liking at other stores.

I started shopping here because of the great prices on quality meat and produce. I'll continue to shop here because of the outstanding service I received today, on what is probably one if the busiest most stressful weeks. The manager went out of his way to find an item then brought it to me, when I had given up. It says a lot about a company when all hands are on deck when its busy!

Excellent selection of local products and ethnic foods. It also has the basics of a standard grocery, the selection may be smaller and slightly confusing to find. The aisles are wide enough for wheelchairs, but items on higher shelves will be out of reach. Workers are happy to help, but they may not always be available. You need to bag your own groceries, but usually someone will help if you need it.

Time and time again I am impressed with this store in a number of ways. From their excellent produce section, which often has a number of excellent sales (Thank you for the bananas!! ) to their meat department, which is the best place in town to buy Meats. The store is always clean, staff is always friendly and helpful. Checkers is always my first grocery store stop. Thanks Checkers!

Best meat prices anywhere! Can finally afford to feed my dog a raw diet. Most all of their food is the lowest price around. Their ethnic sections are amazing, you can get stuff there you can't get anywhere else. Why shop elsewhere?

Prices are excellent.

Prices are excellent.
Produce is top notch.
Employees are meh but who cares it's a grocery store.
They don't carry many special diet items like low carb, low salt, ect but they do have a very nice ethnic food section that's fun to explore.

Smells like a grocery store from a small town in the early 2000s. Not slick like a Dillons Marketplace or Walmart or Target.
But what they might like in presentation, they make up for in variety, quantity, low prices, and friendly service. We ve only recently started shopping here, and I think we will continue.
