Fantastic appetizers. Not sure who came up with Indian poutine, but it s delicious. Same for the black bean fritters. Korma sauce is excellent too.

Was hoping it would be better food. It was fine. Nothing at all wrong, just fine.
Awesome food. Perfect spice levels. It is an Indian fusion joint.
Food was decent, but overall I didn't think it was overly impressive.
Awesome food nice place for good Indian food in Nashville
Best Indian food in Nashville! The ambiance is wonderful and they have a very creative menu.
It was alright. I had the burger with fries. The problem was there was no contrasting flavors, the burger, fries and ketchup all tasted the same. It needed something else to brighten up the dish.
I'd try this place again but it wasn't amazing by any means
Everyone who works there was friendly and helpful. The chicken poutine app and thyme tequila drink were yummy. Our mains were equally delicious. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Nashville!
I am in love with this restaurant. Been here twice and left amazed both times. Service is phenomenal, and the food is even better. Great selection at the bar, and the menu is varied and interesting. A nice mix of Indian and Southern. Tip though: I got the vindaloo and would say that you should only get the vindaloo if you can handle legitimately spicy things, because this vindaloo is not messing around. It's good though. Everything is good.
Not traditional Indian, it is fusion. That is a plus. You can get what is best described as a Naan quesadilla and other delicious fused-food. Erik and Tess took good care of us at the bar.
Some kinks to work out in communication with the kitchen, but our problems were fixed promptly. Give them a try.
Finally got to try this today at lunch. I had the Desi bowl with spiced quinoa and pork belly along with both the saag and Bhunna curry. It was very tasty. The pork belly was particularly outstanding. The sauces were tasty but not very spicy despite being called that. The wait staff was very attentive and thoughtful and I enjoyed my meal.
DELICIOUS! My vegetarian teenager's first experience with Indian food, and it was a pleasant one. They were very patient to explain some great options for her to try.
Most amazing experience from beginning to end. My husband and I have enjoyed bother dinner and brunch here. Every detail has been well thought out and executed impeccably- from your first sip of their most amazing cocktail list to the last bite of your meal. I enjoyed the curried lamb shank for dinner and brunch was pretty incredible, as I had the chicken and waffles with lavender syrup. There are so many cool places to try in Nashville but every time someone comes to town, this place is at the top of our list. You can't go wrong with it.
Fantastic all around. A must if you're in Nashville!
Sometimes a single menu item can be so good as to merit a 5-star review all on its own. Chauhan's tandoori chicken poutine is just such a dish. It's as if a supercomputer that can analyze for taste deficiencies solved the "poutine problem" by scanning through all of the worlds flavors and finding tandoori spice to be the missing ingredient that elevates poutine from junky bar food to a world-class delicacy.
There are plenty of other reasons to love Chauhan. My meat-plus-three thali was prepared so well that I felt as if I was eating home cooking with my friends in Mumbai. (As anyone who knows India will tell you, all of the best food comes from family kitchens.) I also appreciated the scenes from old Begali films being projected on the walls, as well as the free whiskey samples from the wait staff who overheard us talking about Indian single malts.
Finally, it's fun to pronounce Chauhan as "chow hound." But however you say it, just go there and enjoy!
I was really quite skeptical about the tandoori chicken poutine but they totally pulled it off! Wish we were staying longer so I could go back for more. Too bad they did not have outdoor seating and we had to take it home.
Great food & drink with trendy atmosphere. Wonderful service too!
Great for date night. Delicious and beautifully prepared food. Lovely atmosphere.
Came for brunch. Menu consisted of many brunch staples, with an Indian touch, like Tikka Masala Deviled Eggs. Even the bloody mary had vindaloo in it, and they also had a chai milk stout from Mantra Brewing. Great atmosphere. Parking could be a pain, you may have to pay.
The food had to much fat and the pork was very greasy, in fact it was dripping on the other end of the baritto. I ordered pork LT, horrible. The main dishes are poor Indian fusion foods. Service was good but not the food.
