Great happy hour specials, busy but the bartender was great. Good food.

Great meal served to us by a very attentive staff and a very active group of singers/ dancers! Can't wait to go again!

I normally really like coming to this place to see great theater and enjoy a good dinner, but all of that is marred by the service I received this evening.

It took 20 minutes to see our server and we only saw her because the server tending to tables next to us asked if we were okay. From there we had trouble getting drinks, food, dessert, and paying the bill. What was supposed to be a celebration for my fiancee's birthday turned sour as it became clear that just because we weren't ordering alcohol we weren't going to see our server much that evening.

Please beware that if you get a larger woman with dark hair here, either order booze or set the expectation low on what you'll receive for service.

Show was great though, highly recommend the Newsies.

Excellent food and the show we saw "Newsies" was terific. Very high energy.

The MaitreD Tom Ryan really set the tone for the evening. He is a 10.

We saw Mama Mia, it was fabulous. I saw this on broadway 15 years ago and I think this performance was even better.

Our service was great. House wine was good.

Ordered the chicken, it was fatty at times and just ok. Next time I m going to try the vegetarian meatloaf or the walleye. There is a lot on the menu to choose from.

Weddings and Events: My husband and I had our wedding reception at Chanhassen Dinner Theatre two years ago and had the best experience working with Genevieve Myran and Robyn Anderson. They made our day unforgettable and we are so happy that we decided to host our reception with CDT! The food, apps, and drinks were amazing, and nothing beats having your first dance as husband and wife on the Club stage!!! The DJ (Tim from Minnesota Wedding Party) that came part of our wedding package kept the dance floor packed, and sprinkled in little surprises for us throughout the night

Theatre: My family and I went to see Mama Mia! in June and we were absolutely blown away by the talent on stage! We were there celebrating my Grandmother s birthday and the service was second to none. We were all seated in a cluster near one another and even got a special shutout for my Grandma from the stage! I was smiling ear-to-ear the entire time. The music was so special to my Grandma and I as Mama Mia! was the first CD she ever gave to me as a child The acting and dancing was all so impressive and I LOVED how the actors came out into the audience and encouraged audience participation. What an unforgettable night!

Fantastic atmosphere and shows
Very nice main stage with good acoustics. Tasty food and wonderful staff who provide great service.

I have never been disappointed at Chanhassen. Food is very good, desserts great, drinks do not disappoint, and the plays, magnificent!

Our group visited to see Mama Mia. We were seated at our table nice and early. I like their layout having the dining tables in a separate room directly behind the theatre seating. That way there's no mess or food distractions during the performance. The meal was promptly served and my chicken was tender and delicious. The music and performance was great. At intermission, dessert was served in the little dining room which works out nicely. All in all, a fun experience.

Mama Mia was amazing! The sirloin was a perfect medium rare and the staff was very attentive. I look forward to going back!

Always a Great experience. For over 20 years C.D.T. has been amazing me and my family. If you've never been to a production here I highly recommend giving them a shot. I have never been disappointed and have seen some of the same shows more than once. Broadway quality at a local venue and at a great price.

Musically on par with any other production of Mam Mia. Great evening!

We saw Mama Mia and it was wonderful. The food was just ok, but the show made up for that.

This is one of our all time places to go. The food is good and the shows are amazing.

Recently saw Mary Poppins. Excellent production and the food was fantastic- much better (food) than it was a few years ago! We sat up front, on the far side of the stage yet we did not feel like we missed anything.

Great shows, weird venue. Unless you have a forward facing seat your leave with a kink in your neck. The food is pretty meh, so feel free to skip the dinner component. Needs some love and attention.

Sister Act was hilarious and filled with amazing talent. The service received at our tables was impeccable. Our sodas and waters were refilled promptly, and the staff were very friendly. The food however was just okay, nothing to rave about.

The cast is very talented and food is quite good. Service seemed a little slow and due to that I did not have a drink during the first Act.

Highly recommended. This is a delightful dinner theatre with great options for entertainment and eating and drinking while having fun. There is a substantial car park and a converted wheelchair friendly drop off point.

Love the Chanhassen only thing is you feel cramped while dining.

We saw Mamma Mia. Really fun show and the actors were wonderful. Servers were great. Only reason for 4 star versus 5 was the food. Strickingly average.

It was amazing! I saw Beauty and the beast on my B-day service waited on you hand and foot!

Performances here are always great. Glad they finally replaced the carpet, but the place still needs to be gutted, it's getting run down.

Great performances, good food, and an overall wonderful experience! Their gift shop has unique and high-quality souvenirs, too.

We had our wedding and reception here and it was perfect! Omg Robyn (coordinator) is the best! She made sure that everything was up to our standards and liking for the day of our wedding. In my opinion, she went above and beyond. She was very consistent and persistent in the communication process (which is very important to a bride-to-be!) if we had the choice to pick any location in the twin cities for our wedding, we will still choose CDT! We had ZERO problems (that I can actually think of). How many brides can say that, lol? We are so happy how everything turned out and we are most certainly recommending everyone we know that s getting married to come and view the location!

P.S. they have an all inclusive package that is perfect! Everyone at our reception loved the food which was super important to my husband and I.

Amazing performances and great service. The food is fine, just not terribly exciting. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

Extremely expensive experience, but you get to see a live musical show after dinner. So, be prepared to spend money if you want to add to your entree or drink.

Waitress was the worst ever, food was mediocre! But the show was excellent!

Chanhassen is well known for excellent theater/dining combination outings. It is well worth your time and effort to see and enjoy.

Totally not what we expected. Music was great after 1st half.

We got tickets for my daughter's birthday. The kids just loved the performance and the food was amazing as well. I recommend the wonton cheese stick. they are extra but Soo worth it.

Sometimes there are plays that you can see while you eat.

Went to A Billy Joel state of mind in the fireside theater and it was excellent.

Mama Mia performance was fun and full of energy....wait staff was friendly and food was great! I had the sirloin and ordered it MR...it was served exactly as ordered.

I am always so very happy when I get to go to the Chanhassen Dinner theater! One of my favorite actresses is Maura I absolutely love her!

The show was amazing. The reception was great. Inside, it's beautiful and very classy with a little bit of a party atmosphere. With all these good things, you'd expect greater food but it's underwhelming.

We saw Mamma Mia here and it was fantastic. Food was good and there really is not a bad seat in the house.

The theater is always amazing, but the food is so so. Oftentimes small portions and I have gotten tough meat a few times that I've been.

Usually pretty busy - so good luck finding parking!

Saw Mamma Mia. Outstanding performance. Was fantastic!! Made you want to sing along with every song. Had their chicken for dinner. Was delicious. I debated on giving five stars only because we had a very rude waiter, Daniel. He really was not nice to any of us at our table. Any questions we had for him he would answer us with a smart remark like we did not know anything. Hurried us through our dinner and we actually were later getting our food. He told us he would be back for our drink orders and when we finally got his attention he told us we were too late and he could not get them for us. Everything else was fantastic! Too bad someone like that is working there.

Been to many shows and the quality of food and performance is always a solid experience. I'd encourage others to see the non main stage offerings as well.
