I had a great time at "Holiday Inn." The facility is clean and looks great, the food was good, the show was fabulous, and our server Cody was the best. I would have given it five stars but where we were sitting there was a constant cold draft blowing on us and it was a distraction from enjoying the moment.

Seating chart does not visually represent what it was like to sit in seats. When I purchased tickets for my daughter's birthday, seats 3&4 at table 709 were the only two available. The seating chart showed table 709 at roughly 120 degrees off stage right if 90 is center of the room. In real life the seats were 180 deg from center stage. I felt deceived.

My wife and I had purchased tickets to see Beauty and the Beast last year. It was our first time to the Dinner Theatre, and everything from the food, the seating, and the production, I can say without a doubt it was worth every penny.
The production/music/choreography alone was worth enough for spending the money. We would definitely go back to see more productions, even if they brought back Beauty and the Beast, we would definitely go see it again. If you haven't taken the chance to see a production at the Chanhassen, you're missing out big time!

I had a very bad experience with the server that I had last Sunday, she was so rude to me but not with the rest of my friends, she roll her eyes when I asked her for another glass of wine, she never Offered me a desert but she did to my friends, then she was ignoring me when I asked her for another glass of wine, she said things like: I m not even gonna ask you and stuff like that, my friend has to ask her for another glass of wine for me and when she brought the glass she did say nothing again she just saw me making faces to me, we were celebrating my birthday even if it was last month but that was the reason that we went out that night, I don t remember her name but I was sitting on the third booth from the left site of the stage, so you guys could know who was taking care of that section, she literally ruined my night. The show and the food was great but I could not enjoy it because I was so annoyed for this person thinking that she could treat people in that way, I ve never feel so bad about the service from a restaurant. I hope you guys can let her know

I ve provided a bullet point list and you can decide for yourself if this is the kind of service you want on your wedding day.
They double booked weddings on the same day back to back, so we had to move up our ceremony time a month and a half before the wedding. Including sending out revised invites. We were never notified another wedding was booked the same day and it never stated in the contract another wedding could be booked on the same day on the same site
We found out they doubled booked weddings after our meeting with Halley and after our last payment was received, convenient much?
I called the general manager of Chanhassen Dinner Theater s to express my concerns and heard nothing back.
They told us the other wedding wouldn t be at the site until after 4pm, they showed up at 2pm the day of the wedding taking pictures the same time as us.
Halley never informed me she wouldn t be at the rehearsal, even though I emailed her 2 days before and she said See you Friday her assistant ran our rehearsal.
The assistant wedding planner asked me if I wanted to run the rehearsal. I m paying you money to be here so why would I run my own rehearsal? She didn t have any of my information- including our wedding party list etc even though I graciously sent her a hardcopy of the wedding party order 2 days prior.
They told us to make a wedding playlist on our ipod, and the night of the rehearsal they told us they had a new music system and we could no longer use our ipod. So I had to email our wedding playlist the night before our wedding at 12:30am. Also because of this we were unable to practice our wedding ceremony with music, which was a huge disappointment.
They messed up my wedding song I was supposed to walk down the isle to the instrumental version of the song, which I clearly stated in bold font in the email sent the night before. But they played the lyrical version.
I was standing in the ceremony site while they were setting up chairs and the staff, including Halley were talking about how these brides (aka me) thought they could set up this site by themselves and we don t understand all the work that goes into planning a wedding so basically they were talking crap about me while I was standing there waiting to do my first look with my future husband. And FYI I know how hard it is to plan a wedding, thanks!
The entire experience Halley never fully explained things and never followed up with me, I was always the one making the effort which I felt was unprofessional since I was paying her to be our wedding coordinator.
We had 2 golf carts reserved for the wedding to help our grandparents get to and from the ceremony site. They had 2 teenage girls in the carts that never offered to help, they didn t even introduce themselves they just sat in the golf carts playing on their cell phones. I had to walk to up them during pictures to ask if they were even here for our wedding party.

Halley is in the wrong profession of being wedding planner/coordinator . Never in my life have I paid someone over a thousand dollars to help me that couldn t have cared less about our wedding. As a bride you deal with a lot people when planning your wedding and Chanhassen Dinner Theater s was the only difficult one for me. I hope reading this I can save at least one bride from having to deal with these people.

WARNING: DO NOT GO HERE. The waitresses are rude as hell, they discriminate against gay people, and then they give generic responses to actual solid complaints instead of actually resolving the issue.
My husband and I went, not this past saturday but the saturday prior, and the waitress acted like we were inconveniencing her. I'm sorry but part of being a waitress is waiting on people and if she had a better attitude, we would have tipped her nicely. We're good generous people like that and will give recognition where it is due.
That put me off but now I find out that this past Saturday, only 1 week after our disappointing experience that they had refused service to a couple simply because they were gay. That is just awful. A friend of a friend of mine was with her girlfriend, paid for tickets and food and all, and was "allowed" to watch the show where the manager had stepped in and asked them to be "less affectionate" (whatever that means) and then told the bartenders not to serve them after because they are gay and not welcomed. Her comments are on here as well.
Shame on you, I can tolerate a grouchy server but I absolutely will not be a patron at an establishment that discriminates against others for any reason.

We live close by and have enjoyed productions here for years, most recently "Camelot." The theater itself hasn't changed much, and that's part of its charm. The music and performances are always impressive, the food is quite good, and every table in the theater feels close to the stage.

Is it the Orpheum? Obviously not, but it's a good evening with friends/family. I saw Camelot here - a good production. It's a shame Merlin's retiring. I find Chanhassen Dinner Theater to be a great value, as long as you know what foods to get. The specials are usually worth it, and the pecan pie is a tasty dessert. If you want anything after the meal like coffee, order it ASAP because the staff are hard to get a hold of. Decent wine list. Good values.

We had a great time here seeing "Beauty and the Beast." The performance was great. The food was tasty. The facility is very nice. The service is great. The location is very convenient. Parking is easy and abundant. The only complaints I have is the price is a bit high $85/ticket/person but includes dinner and show but drinks and dessert are extra and this is at a table where the view is a bit obscured due to having to share a table with others and sit behind others. So, choose your seating position carefully if you want to make sure you aren't either right behind someone (but then you'll likely be blocking the person behind you). Even with that inconvenience I go again and again for other shows.

Everything thing was good, with friendly staff . The only difficulty is having to twist to watch the show. Neck and back get a bit sore. Don't know how else they could arrange things though.

I love the Chanhassen Dinner Theater. We saw Mama Mia this time and it was a wonderful experience! We were greeted by a very sparkly (personality and clothing) hostess. We were lucky to get a table alone. Very friendly efficient service. We ordered the steak and chicken entrees. Very good! The show was so enjoyable. A great night for an evening of entertainment! This is a must see performance!!

Saw Stevie Ray's Comedy Cabaret. The show was fantastic! Had a mixup when I booked the night, but the staff was extremely accommodating and made things happen. The food was mostly okay, maybe not quite worth the price, but that's the only thing I could mention that wasn't awesome. Would recommend going to anyone.

Our Mamma Mia! experience was LEGENDARY. The service was outstanding starting with walking in the door and continuing throughout the whole night. Our server, EJ, was very helpful and energetic. He got us our food in a timely manner. The chocolate cake is also phenomenal! The show itself was nothing short of amazing 101/100 would recommend!!! We even met Sky (Aleks) after the show, and he was extremely humble and friendly. We also saw Bill and Harry who seemed like cool guys too! Overall, a great experience if you re looking for a fun night out with family.

Loved the show, food, and service! Only bummer is how crammed together everyone is and also the people in the booth behind us were on their phones and watching videos the whole time... It would be nice to have ushers stationed nearby like at other theatres to discourage people from being on their phones and handle situations as they arise.

We love the Chanhassen Dinner Theater! We have attended many productions over the years and have never been disappointed. The food is wonderful and the theater is always well done. Great productions and great actors!

We attended Stevie Rays Comedy Cabaret for my wife's birthday. The show its self was good, not great. The food was mediocre at best, and the venue was dated (the chairs were stiff and uncomfortable). The staff however was excellent, attentive, and friendly.

Wonderful food! Ceasar dressing was sooooo good. Even the bread you get with the salad was soooo good! Steak was flavorful and done to perfection. Would come back here just for the meal again! Topped it off w/a great show, Newsies! Great cast!

It was my wife's birthday. We were a walk up for the comedy show and the box office staff was great, the hostess that checked us in was also friendly. She gave us a menu and said we could order drinks, dessert, and appetizers since we weren't getting dinner and we would have both 480. We were very excited to get a bottle of wine, chicken appitizers and the caramel cheesecake but even with attempting to get the servers attention he never stopped at our table in the 2 hours and 20 minutes we were there and we had to ask the busser to get us some water halfway through as we couldn't get the server to stop. The actual comedy show was decent, certainly better towards the end but the poor (non-existent) service certainly made the whole experience not fun and made a special day not so special.

I went thinking I would get a decent show and ok food. I was pleasantly surprised. The show was very good and entertaining. Even my teenage boys, two which don't like musicals, enjoyed it. The food was also very good. I had a fish dish, which I enjoyed completely. The service was excellent and pleasant. The seating was comfortable and their was enough room between tables. The angel in Grease has the best solo. Good show and quality food, I would go again.

Fantastic dinner and show. Enjoyed the evening with a good friend! Really nice experience; Sister Act is outrageously hilarious and enjoyable, I was totally impressed! The service is excellent, and dinner delicious!
