TO KNOW: Before you go, be sure to read the exhibitions. And also to know if all floors are accessible or renovation ... because otherwise, same price for less.
Otherwise, it is a paradise for lovers of history, art, adventure and those people who thirst for knowledge.

Very beautiful museum, with very original and spacious architecture, with a magnificent view of Metz from the 3rd floor
Currently, in this month of September 2019, the giant bust of King Kong welcomes us at the entrance.

I really like this place! The exhibitions are often very good and very fun. Even the children will be won over! Only I find it a pity that a lot of space is empty and unused, they could do so much better! Nevertheless it remains a must in the city of Metz. Very clean sanitary facilities, possibility to eat on site but I never tried. To see all the same!

This is nice museum to visit on weekend. The unique form building which is contracted by famous Japanese architect is not so small as it looks from the outside. The museum is not really clouded but they exhibit more interesting art than I expected. Worth to visit.

What interest of this place for such a financial investment: no permanent collection and temporary exhibitions tackle themes so sharp in Art that it is worse than a report by Arte on neo-realism in post-Soviet Romania a rain sunday!
Please make this place pleasant, lively, accessible to everyone (even children), do not make culture a punishment!

Outdoor architecture very nice, fluid and organic. Inside, put 3 sweaters !! Pity.
3 large plateaus, not easy for museology. Shop and restaurant nice summer.
True regret: do not have a permanent collection or large loans of pompidou (ex: to draw inspiration from the Louvre Lens) if the exhibitions are too "pointed" it is the best way to make the one who makes the effort of to go to the museum

Behind the train station is an impressive building with numerous temporary exhibitions of modern art. The entrance fees vary depending on the exhibition. Many explanations also in German. Museum shop and restaurant. The visit is worthwhile.

No more info on current exhibitions. Just a hammering out of the imperatives and instructions linked to the Covid. After having known the strong moments of its beginnings, it follows, for several years, what seems to me like a slow decline of this yet magical place ...

Beautiful exhibition on painting the night: well presented and organized. The one-hour guided tour is a real plus. The exposure on the color is more "messy". One less star for the closing time: 18:00 is early to really have time to dwell on the works

Beautiful modern construction. The building fits into the landscape in its own way.

It is a chance for the city of Metz to have a museum of modern arts as famous as this one.

The exhibitions change regularly and even if like me you are absolutely not an arts lover but just curious, then the exhibitions will fulfill their roles perfectly.

The museum is spacious and offers a beautiful panorama of the city of Metz.

To discover at least once and from time to time according to new exhibitions.

Excellent contemporary art museum in Metz. The building is a sight unto itself and the exhibitions here draw from the Pompidou s extensive collection of modern and contemporary art. In addition to showing work from the permanent collection the museum organizes original exhibitions and projects with contemporary artists. It s definitely worth the short trip from Paris to see this museum along with the FRAC Lorraine. Super close to the Metz train station and can easily make for a solid day trip.

The exhibition on Japanese architecture is really successful. However, the galleries should perhaps be closed more gradually because having 2/3 of the galleries closed at the same time is a bit of a shame.

Well, modern art and I are often two. Superb building! Very beautiful architecture! Now the collections ... I'm not asking that the works of art always be from before the 19th century, but sometimes, seeing collections, I have the impression of reliving the film of the Unknowns ... If a whiteboard is a work, I am also an artist on my own walls. Site to see and review while avoiding the passage of collections difficult to understand by ordinary people.
