Interesting museum to visit. Children are free and the art is stimulating. Optionally you can choose not to visit the museum, but to discover the roof terrace with a view of Paris through the characteristic tubes. The roof terrace offers space for a restaurant. This one is very expensive, but gives us a beautiful view. The center is now 40+ years old. That is visible.

My experience at the Centre Pompidou was completely spoiled by a terrible experience at the cloakroom - my coat was wrecked, and the staff were rude and unhelpful in response.
After my visit, I collected my coat and found that it was severely damaged. It looks like it had been deliberately cut and then torn on the bottom left panel, around the pocket, which was also torn open. This was such a strange and really unpleasant incident that was made worse by the ineffective response by Pompidou, and Agence Axcess (who run the cloakroom).
I was told that the cloakroom manager would contact me the next day, which did not happen. When I returned in person the next day, I was told that discussions would have to take place higher up in the chain of management about some sort of reimbursement, and that I would be contacted shortly. This did not happen, and I had to personally return to the museum again in order to be told that a reimbursement would not be possible. As this was an unprecedented occurrence, I asked if I could speak to someone higher up in management, and was told to contact Agence Axcess at 3.30pm. My calls were ignored, and I imagine I will not be contacted, and there will be no repercussion or compensation for the incident beyond the shallow apology I received from the cloakroom manager at Pompidou, which amounted to little more than a shrug of the shoulders.
This has been altogether an unpleasant and ridiculous experience - if I'd had any idea that my coat would not be safe in the cloakroom, I wouldn't have left it there. I had no valuables in my pockets, and there is no apparent reason for the damage save for a blatant disregard for guests' property. I would expect a better response to this from a nightclub, let alone one of Paris' major museums. This is on top of an experience that includes long, poorly managed queues on entry and unclear information on the galleries and artworks. Really disappointed overall by my entire experience at Pompidou, and particularly by the managements' inability to provide any excuse or reasonable apology.
Great place! If you are interested in drawing or comics in general I strongly recommend the exhibition on Riad Sattouf. Otherwise, there is really something for everyone, about modern and contemporary art. The sunset and the view in general are superb from the upper floors.
Need to say it? Add to this the view you have from the sixth floor. Complicated (or I did not understand it) the system to visit the temporary exhibition - Bacon.
Didn't like the exhibition at all, daft, no need to understand his work. But the building and the stairs along with the restaurant are worth visiting. The regular exhibitions are really worth wile. Always like the Dutch art of de Stijl, Mondrian, van der Lek en Doesburg are a real treat to the eye. Highly recommended! Ohw, yes food is more expensive, but, great waiters, beautiful interior by Philip Starck.
Nice place to visit. But keep it as secondary plan. However you may enjoy during your visit. Visit will take minimum 2 hrs. Museum pass gives you basic entry. Don't spend extra. Better visit with the given entry level permit and later buy ticket if you need.
The center is extremely interesting. Ideal for people of all ages because the exhibitions are always very well thought out. The place is fun and beautiful at the same time. He awakens the natural curiosity that sleeps within us. To visit in all circumstances! For tourists it's an opportunity to have a little cultural break when visiting Paris !!
We visited the museum with the intention of spending time at the galleries Les enfants. The exhibit however was very limited. We love the main galleries but wishes they had more to engage our six year old.
Artistic center with interesting architecture, four galleries that change with the seasons and the museum of modern art as such, always the same. Unlike other Paris museums, students or young people (under 26) are paying a ticket, even if at a reduced rate (11 instead of 14 ). I recommend taking the day anyway, or else come back again and just visit the galleries or exhibitions that interest you. The museum is big and doing all of a sudden would be just tiring. Superb exhibition on Dora Maar when I went, and the permanent collection is to be delighted. Coffee, children's area and cloakroom on site.
This was a great museum to visit when visiting Paris. The curators of this museum have done their job well. The exhibits are beautiful and the museum itself is a work of art. Be sure to put this on your to do list when in Paris.
A world-famous art gallery and an interesting place all round. The collection is great, and changes quite often. You need to buy tickets which aren't particularly expensive, but eat elsewhere as the restaurant is pricey. On a sunny day, parts of the museum can get very hot, particularly the escalators on the side of the building which are like a large long greenhouse without ventilation. Nobody seems to have thought of that. Very much worth a visit.
If you are in Paris, you will want to try it with a unique appearance, contemporary art, a variety of experiences, and a workshop. It is also within 10 minutes walk of the surrounding area, so there are many things to see such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre Museum and the Decorative Art Museum.
Great place to see contemporary and modern art. They put a Warhol Ten Lizes, and a Chuck Close together in a smaller room for american art either for maximum impact, or because they don't have the space in this huge museum. They had galleries dedicated to special exhibitions/different focuses and ideas which were good.
Well, you think the building is an architectural feat or a horrible monster. Personally it appeals to me. The square at the front is wonderful to sit down and enjoy the acts performed by street artists there. The inside is interesting because of the changing exhibitions.
Systematically a very good choice of exhibition, the permanent exhibition is also to be seen. You can see there the Dubuffet winter garden which is one of my favorite installations. Many works work on the senses and it is an experience in itself. The building itself is a piece of architecture, the place which is right in front is very pleasant when there is sun. To do
Two reasons to get into the centre Pompidou: the view and the art. Do not expect traditional art, most probably exhibitions (which change quite often) will be full with the contemporary art or some shocking installations.
In addition to the museum, there is the BPI "The temple of culture and knowledge in Paris." In my opinion. You can come there to read the press, do documentary research with a background of several thousand books of all kinds, use the internet for free and also consult the INA archives, watch DVDs and films selected by Arte in the multimedia area, get help through the training area, where employees give advice for finding a job. There is also a relaxation area with deep seats that put you to sleep and a multitude of magazines. In a word, we know when we enter but never when we come out of the pile of things to do. In addition there is a cafeteria area with meals for sale and coffee. U. Only drawback and it is normal given the fame of the place, the girl queue to enter that can be a little too long.
A beautiful place and around there are always many creative people, artists, musicians, dancers, etc.. Shopkeepers with snuffers in two steps from the center of George
Here today to see the Dora Maar Exhibition. Which has been and is outstanding, Truly fascinating. The Pompidou Centre is a wonderful gallery et building. The coming together of international architects to build something that s really special. I first saw a Image of it in 1979 on a vInyl LP cover by Jean Jacques Brunel Euroman Cometh 1980 I was here from London to see it in person, still looks amazing after all these years.
The museum that you don't expect in Paris, the building clashes a little with the rest of the city but for the purpose that it must serve you can go over it. Waiting in the queue at the entrance far too long compared to the average of the other museums in the city, but maybe I was unlucky, it must be said that the checkpoints are few compared to the turnout they have to manage and this is certainly not an aspect positive. Information on the works is often missing or not very detailed so it is almost necessary to have an audio guide / podcast. Even the display of the same is often not as well treated as in other contemporary art museums I have visited.
We obviously no longer present the Georges Pompidou center! Different levels dedicated to permanent or temporary collections. For information: every first Sunday of every month, the permanent collections of the museum are free! You can access it without going through box cash and tickets, perfect to enjoy the view at the top!
I didn't get to see the whole thing but it was cool to see Paris from one of the tallest structures in the city. Quite an eyesore, but that's that point. Free for residence of the EU
The architecture was special and uneven, and the building's view was particularly attractive. A complete cultural complex. There is also a park near the building with interesting fountains, which sometimes is a hangout for artists.
I always stop here when I come to Paris! I love the building, the expositions and I love watching Paris from the top floor while eating or drinking something on the top roof restaurant!
The exhibition is really nice, though it was not clear where we should go in the building. We really enjoyed the lighting of the exhibition, together with the app to give some background to the paintings.
