A youth hangout place as planned by the government. They sit right on the paving stones in front of the building. Free inferior wi fi. On the side of the Pompidou are dancing groups of young people, a fountain stylized as modern art, restaurants, a well-painted building.
Even if you don't go to the building (museum) itself, it's worth a visit to this area.

A building which polarizes Parisiens but I like it. The modern art exhibitions on the upper floors are hit and miss though, but the performers and buskers in the surrounding areas are worth looking at.

One of the best places for modern art! Very easy to stroll around.
The Chagall, Lissitzky, Malevitch exhibition is wonderful and very interesting.
The museum app and mobile website are horrible.

Must we still present the Center Pompidou, this high place of culture and modern art?! Its exterior appearance is still disturbing, with the moving sense of the term. There is plenty of popular entertainment on its esplanades. And his exhibitions are exciting and carefully put in space. Do not forget the exceptional view of Paris, from the top of its terrace and through its stairs under glass. You have to go, it is a must, and I would say even more, we must go back!

Contemporary art contemporary art is free.
Special Exhibition Galleries are charged.
The top floor restaurant is worth a visit.
The price is a bit high, but you can see Montmartre and the Eiffel Tower.

An original museum for its structure whose floors only 2 out of 5 are used as exhibition halls. Personally the artists who exhibit (modern art) have not involved me but the works are displayed flawlessly ... large spaces, many colors and valid experiences.

'Cultural Centre' what more can you say! People flock there when the sun is out just to sunbath and to listen to the street entertainment on the piazza outside, and also when the sun isn't out. It actually reminds me of Covent Garden, in London, twenty years ago. There are loads of good hip and cheap bars and restaurants on its doorstep, and lots of cool people!
Inside is everything you'd expect of an iconic cultural hub: great exhibitions and great views of Paris.

This review is about the experience of a disabled person. We came here to eat at about 8 in the afternoon. We were in a side entrance which they refused to open because it opens at 9 as they said, so we had walk about 300 meters in a badly paved road. This was terribly difficult for my father who uses a cane to walk. When we finally reached the restaurant we asked for a wheelchair and they looked for one for about an hour. Finally they told us that they don't have one. I am not gonna comment on the food, which was mediocre at best, cause it's beside my point. We had really terrible experience and if you are a person with disabilities I strongly recommend that you avoid this place.

Center of Modern Art. Unfortunately, in constant renovation. I don't know if it's because of this, but it's just chaotic. More wandering than watching the harvest. I also didn't get to the key that guided the authors of individual exhibitions. That's what you have.

Some details for you

My favorite contemporary and modern art museum in ...

My favorite contemporary and modern art museum in the world. The entrance to the museum is always packed with students and tourists soaking up the sun on a pleasant summer afternoon. For the museum, a number of well curated and fascinating shows round out their impressive main collection. The installations are among my favorite Remember to take the escalator up for the best view of Paris IMO, and spend some time on the patios/sculpture gardens on the upper floors.

Very beautiful place and museum, there are many expositions going on and I would recommend look online for a programme. The view from the top is amazing and there is also a restaurant. It takes some time to be visited but it's all worth it. Queues were not that long when I went, it was some day at the beginning of January at around 4.pm

Superb collections BUT the reception is nonchalant and the arrows are rough.
We do not immediately understand where to go. In addition, the "tubes" borrowed to ride at the beginning of the visit .... and yes, it was necessary to go up ...... are dirty and dirty. Too bad to spoil the view of Paris.
Maybe we could pay a tourist ticket to a "novice" observer and follow him?

Very cool looking museum with a very cool exhibition of David Hockey. The staff is friendly and speaks english and it isn't all too crowded. The pricing is pretty reasonable. Note that you aren't allowed to take pictures at the David Hockey exhibition.

Perhaps, The most beautiful museum I have ever visited in my life, alongside with the National Gallery in Washington, D.C. This is truly a timeless masterpiece of architecture with a life that speaks a lot about the french people's love for art as part of their culture.

One of the largest museums of modern art in the country. It has one of the nicest panaramic views of the city on the 5th floor. Don't let the industrial look of the exterior facade scare you away seeing the art inside

Iconic building, either love it or hate it. Always worth riding the escalator tubes up and down the front of the building if nothing else. Very small kids gallery space and there s a new water feature from a sponsor that is mainly a waste of space since as soon as you touch the water a stressed out lady appears going Non!

On the top floor magnificent view of Paris. the contemporary exterior is much more beautiful to see than the museum inside. Art for me is an emotion and I admit that I was not moved at all ...

Wonderful art collection I only wish there were more! Great view of the city if you're willing to go outside. Sometimes a long security line and sometimes not. Good public bathrooms and library.

Loved this bizarre building and extensive art. Annoyingly the small rucksack that everywhere else has been allowed in had to be left in the cloakroom and we were told no water bottles inside. An absence of refill stations isnt acceptable these days either.
However, the art work is superb and the public spaces capacious with charging sockets meaning the bored teen could entertain himself whilst I finished pottering. Views splendid too. Definitely a must visit.

Has a great permanent exhibition of modern art and many changing exhibitions. Has a huge art book collection library. Rooftop restaurant Georges has great panoramic view over Paris but is costly.

Few works to admire compared to the exhibition area. I have the price of the ticket across the gorge. Lack of information, not interactive enough !!!
Just take pictures of the outside and say "I was there" ... or didn't go there ..

A wonderful learning experience of both the development of French contemporary art post-Impressionism, and the achievements of French culture. The building itself is astonishing.

Love this place! So much to see, and it's all laid out in a way that makes both chronological sense, and thematic as well. Modern art (writ large) can often be like "Well, what does it mean?" But, the museum curators have done a very good job of adding historical context to various periods of artistic expression.
