I always feel like a little hamster going though the tubed escalators! Their permanent collection is excellent as well as their exhibitions. For all modern/contmporary lovers I rexommend 100% !
The rooftop restaurant/bar is also great if you want to enjoy the view!

The whole complex is housed in a modern and odd (when compared to most of Paris) building, which is a great setting when you consider this place is a haven for modern and conceptual art. Top three floors are for permanent and temporary exhibitions where you will have the rare chance to see infamous pieces of extraordinary art, like Duchamp's urinary or Pollock's paintings, of course these are the well known examples, so be ready to spend long hours with hundreds of pieces of artworks from a wide variety of disciplines. There's also a boutique to buy Centre Pompidou souvenir as well as some design apparel, even furniture. I haven't checked the restaurant while I am sure it is a good experience but I wouldn't prefer here solely for dining purposes.

Absolutely loved the library here. Great big spaces, thousands and thousands of books, and WiFi to get your work done. I was super impressed with how busy it was and how many people were actually using it. Libraries back home are certainly not like this one. Highly recommend.

Still bitter that I didn't have the chance to check everything.
They sold us tickets one hour before the closing time, without being nice and telling about the minimum time to check everything in the museum. All museums I have been were nice enough to inform us the time... but it is ok. I just wont pay more to have to check again the day after.
Besides that, the building is nice and has a very cool collection (modern).
The staff is also not friendly with people that bring their own food.

One of the most pleasant places in Paris despite the works (strongly their end)! There are always a few people, you can enjoy the sun, and there is often music, it's nice. ~
As for the Center itself ... oops, too busy enjoying the fresh air outside, but friends have said that good!

The Musee National d'Art Moderne at Centre Pompido...

The Musee National d'Art Moderne at Centre Pompidou is a world-class Modern and Contemporary Art Museum, the likes of MOMA (NYC) and TATE (London). Entrance is 13 per person and opening hours are 11am to 9pm daily (closed on Tuesdays).

Here you will find two floors and numerous rooms filled with a comprehensive range of Abstract, Cubism, Expressionism, Fauvism, Surrealism, Pop Art, Nouveau Realisme and Conceptual Art works of art. You can enjoy masterpieces by the likes of Picasso, Matisse, Kandinsky, Dali, Leger, Chagall, Ernst, Bacon, Warhol, Lichtenstein and Hockney and a laundry list of others from the 'who's who' world of modern and contemporary art.

There are always two or three temporary exhibitions being held at Centre Pompidou. These can be quite interesting and potentially worth seeing as well. Do check the website in advance of your visit to Paris to see what is on offer during the dates of your intended visit.

In the end, art lovers will want to include a visit to Centre Pompidou during visits to Paris, especially if you are big on modern and contemporary art. Our visits here have lasted between 3-4 hours, spending around 1.5+ per floor. However, that said, you could easily allow more time to browse the rooms leisurely.

Note: This major museum is very popular resulting in long entrance queues. As such, you may want to consider arriving half an hour before starting time (10.30am) or visiting later in the evening when queues may be shorter.

Its great if you're interested in modern/contemporary art. It's quite the massive centre so it may take you a few visits to see it all. We entered using the paris pass and it only let us into the gallery FYI, not the rest of the center. The staff was not very friendly.

Modern art, sometimes hard to perceive))

Modern art, sometimes hard to perceive))
So that you do not get confused: the demonstration starts from the top floor, you can go up there on an elevator or on an escalator that is visible from the outside.
After viewing the upper floor, go down the stairs to the floor below, it is to the left of the entrance through which you entered.
Pleasant impressions!

Terrible condition- unlike all other museums in Paris this one looks like it was never cleaned. It is out of place but if you like its look it is still sad how incredibly dirty it is.

When inside it looks like a convention center. Vast open spaces with nothing in them. We got there shortly after opening and there was garbage on the floor

The staff must not really care about the museum.

The best part may be ascending the escalator and seeing the view of the city. The building of course is not in the view

The floors are cracked as the building settled. It was built at a bad time for construction standards

On the positive side it is a great place for schools to take kids.

See it once so you can say you did. And then go to one of the other amazing museums in Paris instead.

To me the esthetics of the museum itself are critical. While the collection is very impressive the condition of the museum, the layers of dirt and grime covering it, the obvious lack of care by whoever runs it, make it less than what it should be.

A unique museum in paris not only in the works that it holds, but the experience of the museum itself. The way you go up the escalators on the outside of the building is perhaps its most unique aspect. Highly recommend. The museum can be gone through in about three hours, but my guess is that most people spend 3-6 hours here depending on how much of your day you want to spend there.

I have not been inside it unfortunately, but I can tell you that it's a very iconic cultural center in paris, in a very nice area of the city that is not very expensive and you will be able to find a seat to grab a bite or have a drink. Plus the architecture of the building has its meaning that you should research :)

Much more than a museum. A cultural center is a cinema and a work of art. Known and recognized all over the world for its shape and modern structure, it has been for a long time one of the icons of this modern Paris that knows how to reconcile the old with the present. You can not miss it!

A really impressive collection. Definitely worth a visit. Sure you can spend hours on art in many places in Paris however by visiting Pompidou you can cover a number of interesting pieces in an overseeable amount of time.

Interesting works in the Bacon exhibition but very little information and mediation to frame it at an excessive price.
Regarding the permanent exhibition, lack of immersive installations and especially of ASSISES for artists who would like to draw.
And the museum closes very early.

The Pompidou center by Renzo Piano stands out immediately due to its contemporary structure perfectly inserted in a historical context. The thing that strikes most is the structure itself and it's nice to turn around. With an entrance fee of 14 for adults there are several permanent and temporary exhibitions. The exhibition space is so vast that in one afternoon it is difficult to enjoy everything

Fantastic museum for those who love modern and contemporary art. Building that immediately strikes for the particular architecture. Very well organized for plans and as most of the Parisian museums and churches are free for residents of the European Union from 18 to 24 years.

The first meeting inside the museum is an amazing vantage point for its beauty.
Exhibitions of sculptures and pictures are very interesting.
Picasso and the like. But there are also more modern ones who talk less to me.
The attitude was generally kind.
As with any museum, there are many rooms that can be lost.

Amazing building that is a must see. Must admit I was hesitant about the content. I was however pleasantly surprised by the quality of art. Yes there is also the normal modern pieces but the majority is really worth seeing. To top it off the view from the top of the building is stunning, you get to see 360 degrees of Paris...

If you have time the restaurant on the top floor looks amazing! Especially the decor!

The art is incredible, as is the building. But the pointless queues and insane prices (5 euros for a bottle of water) make the experience a little sour. Nonetheless visiting the Pompidou is a must.

Was kind of disappointed with this place. I was expecting lots of art and other cool things but I soon found out it was modern Art quote. This means that most of the parents were blank pieces of paper put on the wall and the stupid movie that they played it was a very cool structure though and I suggest having the Paris pass because you can skip the entire line but he did not have a Paris pass it was not worth going to this place.

The total collection of contemporary art. The fountain and the building itself are unusual, but the collections are excellent. After entering, take the elevator to the 6th floor and you can see the city of Paris at a glance. Afterwards, you can go down one floor and watch.
Picasso, Chagall, and Braque are great paintings, but looking at sculptures and modern exhibits is fun and envious of accommodating various works.
Souvenir shops are generally expensive, but there are some surprisingly decent items, so take a look.
Please note that the first Sunday of every month is free admission.

It is interesting for a first time in Paris or if you're a fan of modern art. My favorite is the Chagall in the hallway ... Foresee time to get input queue if you go without a ticket.
