The most complete and evocative contemporary art museum in Paris.
Host incredible and full of Pathos works! I highly recommend it to everyone, since art never needs explanations rather than personal interpretations and impressions, and the works inside communicate life.

The terrace on the top floor and really nice but you have to consume. Better to go one floor below, the view is very beautiful and apart from the ticket to 5 euros, the view outside is free! On the other hand, my memories concerning street entertainment were no longer relevant! No one on the horizon on the forecourt! Pity ! The bookstore is interesting.

The center is divided on two levels essentially, entering from 'Rue Beaubourg' you can access the ground floor, the first and second floors. On the ground floor there is essentially little; the upper floors are huge rooms with shelves and shelves of books (divided by topics), which constitute the public information library, there are areas with computers and televisions for research, learning languages, etc.
From the ground floor, passing through a metal detector, you enter the area that leads to the floor below, which can also be accessed from the entrance on Georges Pompidou square; once past the metal detector it is not possible to go back to go back to the library, but you have to go out and queue again.
On the floor below, however, from what I was able to understand, there are exhibits, there are bars (bar which is also present on the first floor of the library) and there is access to the museum, which I was unable to visit due to of time, so I do not know if it is paid or not, but still the people who accessed it showed a ticket at the entrance.

Beautiful architecture, never seen anything like it before, gives you the illusion that it's is still under construction. Amazing.
It is also a great place if you wanna hangout in the square right in front of it and just appreciate the amazing architecture of the building, since it's always crowed I'd also dare to say that it is a great place to get to know new people and make friends. Highly recommend the centre pompidou if you're visiting Paris as I am.

Museum of modern art, very cool. The building alone is worth the visit, it's a show apart. Around the building there is a space where street art takes place and is full of bars and restaurants. Must visit!

Tired.

It's not for everyone. You have to understand the phenomenon of going in. If you do not like contemporary art, do not take the air of those who understand this (I have not really seen many, personally I can not understand more than 50%). The construction itself did not give me a "back," in the front floor gather a lot of dubious pseudo-artists. What I liked is the exhibition that tells about the modern architecture (exterior / interior) plus the furniture part

Wounderful. The modern collection is so iconic. Shoutout to the curators, I didn't miss one panel. I loved the combination of paintings, sculptures, photographs, book/newspaper pages/audio. I would come back every day. As for the contemporary collection,it wasn't as interesting. Free for EU students

One of my favorite museums of Paris. It's a modern art museum well designed and with very nice terrace with great Paris wiu. Very much recommended. Exhibitions change time to time so you can visit every time you come visit Paris. The area itself is also beautiful and worth exploring!

Great place to see modern art. The permanent collection is impressive -- modern art (mid-20th century work, mostly) on the 5th floor and contemporary art (late 20th century and present-day) on the 4th floor. It has never been terribly crowded when we've been and we've enjoyed the irreverent and innovative take on what art is enormously. Always thought-provoking!

Redone recently, place is clean, staff is friendly. 20 minutes massage is very good and the while experience makes you forget time. There is a bit of a wait for scrubbing and massage, but everything is well worth the wait.

Magnificent center of contemporary art, exhibition constantly renewed, temporary exhibitions of high quality put forward international artists in duet: often an illustrious name with a less known but explosive artist! A reference ! There is also a library and shops selling decorative items or books.

An amazing place to visit any time of the year, it is on of the most beautiful design of Renzo Piano. It is still so 'contemporary' that takes the breath away if it is your first visit. Unmissable if you're in Paris, and even if you're not a nice short weekend is really worth it.

sorry but i really dont understand this kind of art. one of the pieces was a chair- which my grandma had back in the 1960's in Russia... the other piece presented 3 white 3*3m canvas. i guess this is totally not my taste and maybe someone will find this amazing or meaningful but for my husband and I- this was a waste of time. at least we had a good view of paris from the 5th floor.

Okay, the Kandinsky, and Matisse makes this place amazing, but if you are coming here because you heard it was great for kids, you better check what they have going in. They have a rotating exhibit, and nothing else.

One of the Must visit attractions in the city of Paris. If you go only to see the bilding and take photos of nit, on the night it's the best moment. The exhibitions inside usually are very interesting, if you like modern art.

The Centre Pompidou, designed by Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers, is a 20th-century architectural marvel, immediately recognizable by its exterior escalators and enormous coloured tubing. It is home to the National Museum of Modern Art and is internationally renowned for its 20th and 21st century art collections. The works of iconic artists are displayed chronologically over two sections: the modern period, from 1905 to 1960 (Matisse, Picasso, Dubuffet, etc.), and the contemporary period, from 1960 to the present day (Andy Warhol, Niki de Saint Phalle, Anish Kapoor, etc.). In addition to its permanent collections, internationally renowned exhibitions are organized every year on the top floor, where visitors can enjoy a breathtaking view of Paris and its rooftops. Everything you might need to spend a pleasant half-day, or indeed a day in the museum is available: eat at Le Georges, learn more at the public information library, and take a break browsing the shelves of the museum gift shop. At the foot of the Centre, the Atelier Brancusi presents a unique collection of works by this artist who played a major role in the history of modern sculpture.
