We love heading here for the auto show each year. It is always a great experience for the whole family. This was the 1st year we brought my daughter and she had a great time. Will be back next year .

Largest convention center in the area. Three different Shows taking place simultaneously on the day I attended. Plenty of staff in case you needed information. Security not very high. Not enough restrooms, so plan on going early to avoid the long lines. Food is more expensive than outside the venue. The Starbucks on site also has higher prices than any other Starbucks. Facility is well maintained and very clean.

Large, clean candle, always offers good, interesting expectations, the exhibition of, motorcycles, cars, cosmetology, science, etc., is good, a pleasant place, to share with family, friends. I recommend that you get to know it, but go to the events that you like the most so that you can enjoy it even more.

Attended the International Beauty Show here. The outside structure is beautiful. This convention center is huge. The perfect place for a large event. Food in the Javits is overpriced and not very satisfying (at least the restaurants myself and coworkers tried). Other then that the show I attended here was awesome

Open and spacious. I've only every gone for conventions, and a graduation. Plenty of facilities, for, bathrooms, etc. I went for comic Con and so many people can fit etc. Good cell signal even in the lower levels. I will recommend hosting conventions at this location.

No matter what people may say this is really a great place. It's just awkward so have a game plan ready if you are going there. If it's winter check your coat because waking around on the unpadded carpets just wears you out without thinking. The less you carry the better you are. If the rest room lines are long then find an out of the way rest room it's not that far away. And Parking is the absolute worst. It took NYC 20 years to bring the subway there so do yourself a favor and use it or Penn Station if you want to save $60 to $80 on local parking. It really is a massive overwhelming place. Take your time and enjoy your visit. As usual you will find food inside at about 2 or 3 times the normal rate so fill up before you go an have a snack ready. Good luck!

It's big. It's Very big. I believe that it might be certainly nowhere near the tallest, but quite possibly the widest building in New York city.

They host a ton of events there that can be both open to the public or for trade only.

This review is how javits handles Comic Con.

Comic Con is a very well attended event. The problem is that it is so crowded that the infrastructure cannot handle the strain caused by hundreds of thousands of people all decked out with super hero props that will bang into your leg, knee, arm, eye, etc.

There was a ten minute line for the bathroom...twenty minutes of you needed a stall.

People waited on line for over a half hour for cold chicken strips and undercooked fries only to find no table, no chair and no ketchup.

At the end, you could not leave and walk to the Long IslNd Railroad. Instead you had to walk over a block and as half to go around the other entrance to the building. Not fun after a long day of being pushed through the throngs of people.

I know this isn't supposed to be a review of comic con, but as the host, I expect more from the Javitz center.

Some of the floors had exposed wires, there were a few plumbing leaks from the ceiling and attendees were sprawled out on the floor, just trying to get some rest

Add to this, there was no subway service on the 7 train from Times Square to points west.

Too many people. Not enough space.
Sorry Javitz center. This was a waste!

Went for Comic Con 2019, really easy to get to from the subway or bus. Comic Con itself is amazing and a wonderful experience, but I'm rating the building. It's a really great building for the event, but for the love of God, please put in more bathroom stalls! There were TWO lines to the one downstairs and only SIX stalls. This is an enormous building that hosts large events regularly, why are there only 6 stalls on the whole first floor? We stood in line for a good 30-40 minutes (because ladies in costumes are even slower than regular ladies in the bathroom). Wish I'd thought of taking a picture of the bathroom and the line.

Recently renovated and Javits shines. Bathrooms are spotless as they have been for past 32 years. Sanitation staff is always there cleaning and it shows. People are very polite and helpful too. A great experience!

The largest convention venue on the east coast with public transit access via subway and bus, located near the end of the High Line park and the Hudson yards, Javits Center hosted a multitude of trade shows and events throughout the years with attendance in the millions. I've attended hundreds of shows from the large Auto Shows and PCexpos to smaller ones for marathons and business development. I never tire of the spaces, from the crystal palace to the basement auditoriums, I've always found the staff to meet the needs of the trades personnel and can be expected to roll out and in on time, everytime. Union shop, NYS.

Been going to more than just car shows .Over the years ended up in business from the consumer show which have changed my life .
Also franchise shows have paved the way to make a good business . From just the concept at the show . But change to my own ideas.

Big event and expo space. I am there few times a year, coming for different kind of shows and expos. It can get super crowded. Food court is rather awful and expensive. No vegan choices.

Drag Con was phenomenal! The entire staff was super friendly and accommodating to every single person I saw them come into contact with. Super professional, and as usual I can't wait to go back!

I was able to see the 2001 MAC-WORD EXPO with Steve Jobs in person who presented his umpteenth KEYNOTE full of "never seen before" "tremendous power" and "BUM BUM BUM" !!! UNFORGETTABLE presentation, happy to have seen that man in action: he transmitted energy, he WANT TO DO, participation! Spectacular the metal structure of the exhibition complex: at the time they had put the colored imacs to register at the reception! Today furniture items ... yes at that time there were still TWIN TOWERS, how the world has changed !!!

I went for the car show & it was cool. The food wasnt that great though & of course overly prized but, that was expected. Very big location. 4 floors. All glass windows from floor to ceiling. Javits Center is huge inside.

Massive convention site. Accommodates super-large exhibitions with aisles and aisles of vendor tables, open vendor exhibition areas, etc. There are dozens of rooms with facilities for groups from 25 to over 100 attendees. Exhibitors all complain that the costs for electrical outlets and other convention support services are outrageous. Food services are plentiful and diverse during major shows. Mendy's Kosher Deli has a nice variety when it is open. All of the food is very overpriced -- think $5 for a 20 ounce Coke. They staff maintains the restrooms adequately. Parking is in the many local private parking garages and is a fortune during major shows -- think $50 for 8 AM to 5 PM.

I Attended the boat show and it was absolutely amazing to see all of the beautiful boats! The place seemed hudge. I had not been there in a very long time..i must say it was spacious and beautiful. There were quite a few things going on all at once!

The truth is you rarely come here because you want to. Conventions can be fun or painful. WiFi is usually overtaxed. The place can be confusing to navigate, especially if they're hosting more than one event at a time. If it's a nice day, the Hi Line ends/begins right across the street. Food options in Javits are mediocre, but you're blocks from the amazing food scene in Hells Kitchen.
