Place is a royal pain in the ass from parking to getting into docks.
It is a large venue for different shows. For that reason, it is a lot of walking to any show that you may attend there. It does have one major problem; when you leave the Javits Convention Center, it is basically impossible to get a cab as there is no cab stand. Even if you walk up to the traffic light and try to get a cab there in the crosswalk, the cabs will rarely pick you up. It seems that the police do not want the cabs to impede traffic flow, at least that's what I was told, but if you have trouble walking as I do, this is a major problem.
It was huge! It was my first time visiting but the venue was well lit, clean, and had a ton of space for the convention I was attending.
They promised a huge party on November 8, 2016. Turned out to be the biggest dud of all time.
Love it it is big if you go put on your walking shoes because you are going to Do a lots of walking
Huge space for conventions and conferences eat before you get here because food is super expensive.
Wonderful center and very friendly and helpful staff. Very spacious and so well renovated
I enjoyed there. My friends and I went there for cars show in New York.
The best Large Event Venue Space in NYC! The only one of it's kind!
Went there for NYCC and the service was great, someone always there to help with anything. A lot of security so I felt safe and really clean facilities with staff constantly cleaning everything
The place it is well organize and the facilities are excellent
New York's big, heavy hitter convention center. An impressive glass structure immediately sets it apart from other convention centers. The location is beyond excellent, it's central to just about everything in Midtown Manhattan and just a couple blocks walk from Penn Station.
This place is huge and literally a block away from the West side highway and the scenic Hudson river. This place is a must go to duri g any convention
Comic con is taken place here and the New York Auto show. These are the 2 biggest events I go to at this convention center and I love it. I don't feel overwhelmed by how crowded it gets here because the convention center is so spacious.
very fun place to be for NYCC! the building is neatly laid out and very easy to locate. very very busy for this event but overall its always a fun time. we had a great visit and enjoyed all the sights. food and restrooms were easily accessible without too much lines or hassles. great place.
Humongous space always versatile for whomever is hosting it. Last stop on the 7 train is just a few blocks away making it more accessible than ever
Went to NY Comic Con here. Great place, huge floor.
There were a few large events taking place and the lines at the "food-court" were very long, while a few of the stations were not open.
Nice inside. The security personal not very friendly outside at all, very rude honestly. The 2 officers I dealt with by the scanners, were nice.
Great convention center. Just needs more layout Maps.
Huge space for conventions and conferences. Out of the way to get to but new Hudson Yards subway stop helps.
I usually come here for the restaurant convention every year, this is a huge place that's very well organised. I love it
A very well managed facility in NY. Take the Flushing subway train number 7.
Beautifully designed hall able to fit massive amounts of people... Very close to the subway and bolt bus/megabus stops
Javits is a very nice convention center. The floor space is huge, so they can fit a ton of booths in there. Bathrooms are convenient. They have a good sized food court.
Here for the beauty show... Very pleased. Clean, Well organized and staff was very knowledgeable . Parking was a bit tricky. Overall a very good experience !
It's a great place to meet new people and to see unbelievable brand new cars
Best place for all time event.it attract people from the all over the world
Great spot for conventions and expos. Huge space, have come many times for Auto Show and it's always a blast.
If a fire Marshall walked in, they would, should have closed the event. It was disgusting how many people they had in at one time. It was not only unsafe but you couldn't enjoy it
Went here for a convention in September and I loved it! Big beautiful open center, has restrooms and restaurants so you can grab a bite to eat after going to whatever convention you're going to. There's lots of options for comfort foods, sandwiches, etc. Lots of little stands for food outside the convention center too.
Its a large convention center. You wouldn't go here unless they are hosting something you are interested in. The bathrooms are clean, and I always enjoy the auto show.
NYC Convention Hall. Depending on why you're there will depend on your experience! From Com Con, auto show or specialized events. It can be roomy or claustrophobic.
Nowhere for truck drivers to park making pickups and deliveries received a $65 ticket for parking. A parking War you will get a ticket.
This place is hugh! Very cool place to visit! I was there for comic con!
I attended the Salesforce World tour event here! Pretty big and awesome place.
Nice eating options. Starbucks shine.
Let's face it, The Javitts is the only space on the east coast that is capable of doing a convention on the scale of Vegas or Chicago. It's not always easy, but there's no service that you can't contract for. Whether your an event sponsor, exibitor, or attendee this venue is always ready to go the distance.
$4 coat check...that's a little steep wouldnt you think !
This place is awesome! Came for the international auto expo!
Huge place. I wish they had a parking deck. Not easy to find parking.
Went to Anime NYC there. The space was big and mostly clean. With the 7 train extended to Hudson Yards it's more convenient to get there.
Place is huge , only drawback I feel is there are not enough restrooms or the fact that they are just too small
I've only been here for the auto show and Thursday Comic Con. I hope to go here for something else, but those are 2 popular conventions. Comic Con gets very crowded & with so many people it gets very warm. There's a lot of cool merchandise but definitely make a budget before you go or save up. The auto show was cool. I wasn't looking to buy a car but all the fancy cars out of my price range were still cool. Eat a good meal before you go. The concessions, like everywhere, are high & you don't want to be in line at a convention for food. I brought snacks, but they did check bags so careful what you bring & get ready for someone to rummage through your stuff.
Went to the Javits center for the NY Auto Show. Huge space that accommodates the crowds pretty well.
Clean, expansive, incredible amount of places to eat. Enjoyed our time there
Way too small for nycc now, good for the car shows and other events though, know where you want to get food, not alot of options around but more than there used to be
No parking! Women's restrooms are upstairs, men's - downstairs. Starbucks there - HORRIBLE service.
Was here for NYCC. A great experience and glad that it's moved a lot of it outside the Javits Center. However, IDK what it is about the Javits showroom floor but it always kills my feet!! And I wish they had some more seating areas.
