Hard to review a place like this because it is essentially a shell for any event you can imagine. Very spacious plenty of transport nearby food and drink venues some knick knack shops. The design and architecture alone is something to see you can spend a lot of time just with your eyes on the ceiling.

spacious, modern, and a multi-purposeful. I came here on several occasions: once for a college fair, and once for comic con.the multi-level architecture is perfectly conducive to large groups of people, or intimate meeting. It is slightly hard to park, though.

Have been to three events at this location. Each time the amount of space inside was utilized perfectly. However the main entrance seems to get very stuffy sometimes with it being a full glass box. The lower levels provide spacious access for panels or large exhibits. I heard heard of an expansion project which I look forward to seeing what comes from that. Easy access with a 15 minute walk from Penn Station in NYC.

God the food here is terrible. Inedible. Taxi lines too long. Folks should know they can walk a single block and grab any taxi. Ride share options are not available, but, again, walk a block and you re good to go. Building renovation is outstanding. The Javits will always be a great convention center, but one can see why big conventions stay away. Amenities do matter these days.

I'm usually here twice a year for trade shows. From an exhibitor's standpoint, Javits is a strong union hall, so be prepared to deal with union regulations at every turn. If you play the game, the show labor is efficient and helpful. Management is available and easy to reach. As well run as any hall in the chaotic pre- and post-event days.

The hall itself has all the amenities you'd expect, and the high prices you'd expect as well. Decent food court on the bottom floor. FedEx on site, but be prepared to pay a premium if you utilize it. The hall is generally clean and well kept. The area around Javits is improving, and there are some decent hotel and restaurant choices within easy walking distance of the hall.

Be aware that not all amenities are open unless a show is actively underway in the hall. You may have to make other food arrangements on set-up and take-down days.

It was clean, bathrooms were impeccable and they allowed or women's group to use all the men's bathrooms. The staff was very nice. The chairs were comfortable enough and the carpet felt good. I wish the floor were on an incline for better viewing. Good in the food court was good.

I was so happy that Comic Con was in New York. I went to Gears of War table screaming like a teen, I was looking for Assassin s Creed but it was so big I couldn t find it; I am not even sure if there was a booth for that. I had a ticket for one day and I went to a line for 20 mins to spin a wheel to get some gifts but a lady said if you don t have a golden ticket come back tomorrow It s ok it was a great experience, but really difficult to walk around.

Too crowded. Don't go for auto show if you want to enjoy a weekend show, at least not the regular ticket. Get the one with early entrance. Too many people are just trying to shove and take photos and sometimes they can be angry at you for any reason. There was not even a map! I have seen better fairs in third world countries.

I've gone here for Comic-Con twice and I have also been there for auto shows . You don't realize how large this place is until you spend 10 hours walking around and still feel like you missed things . Always seems to be well managed and organized despite the copius amounts of people that go there. I liked the addition of food trucks at comic Con for 2019 will definitely be going again for the next event that catches my interest

We were here for an industry trade show as we are every year...this year they had no concessions open except for 1 Starbucks and some sort of sandwich shop and a Hudson News stand. The place, overall was a ghost town, so sad....

Excellent The Convention Center, very clean, organized, fast attention. You can leave quickly and take any train or bus line. It is easily accessible and nearby there are many restaurants.

NY Times Travel Show, great crowd. My complaint about the venue is that the cabs have to drop and pick up far from the events and the doors at the end of the building near the taxi stand are not always open so you have a long hike in the cold and rain or snow.

ComicCon 2018

ComicCon 2018
Great event. Good food and beer options. Full of vendors of all kinds. Make sure you're ok with crowds and lines, especially for the bathroom. Overall I hope to attend next year.

Went for Comic Con! Great vendors and appearances; however, the place was really really crowded. I am shocked they still had people buy more badges. I feel like they had enough space to space out the vendors (since they do have multiple levels). Food options and prices were typical. Location is a good spot (took the subway) and heard parking isn't so bad around the area.

This venue, although [somewhat] spacious, has outgrown its architecture. Space is okay, not too many places to eat in this area of Manhattan and the interior does not offer a fair amount of shops. This is an 'okay' venue but it is situated at a location where the surrounding area is speedily growing faster than any other area in Manhattan. Not so easy to get to, for now, but I can see new transportation hubs getting closer toward eleventh Avenue in the coming years.

Oh my god! Loading into this place is an exercise in stupid. I could not use a 4 wheel cart. The reason was either according to the brass ... union related (but we had already paid the union) ... they were just going to take 4 hours to get to my small car. If this is the reason then they get paid for me to do their job cause they are really slow at it. Or alternatively the according to the union, an issue with protecting the floors ... which is stupid cause 4 wheel carts distribute weight better than 2 wheel carts. Soo the beurocratic idiocy is strong with this one!

This place is ugly, not smartly designed and dated. needs a refurb! also food and beverage services inside are non-existent....and should develop some restaurants and bars nearby. hate going here.

One of the best convention centers I've been to. Great food options great layout. No matter how big the event it fits perfectly. Bathroom situation could be better. Have been to 3 events this year alone and each was different. Looks like there is construction hopefully they are adding more space.
