Centerparcs Heijderbos Reviews

Just a weekend away. The cottage was a little dated, lots of activities for children but if you want to eat a snack in the evening, the choice is limited. The pancake restaurant is open from 12 a.m. to 4 p.m. and then closed. Also in the other restaurants it is busy with few staff. This means that you have to wait a long time for your food or drinks.

The park is poorly maintained. The cottages are outdated and you can find litter everywhere outside the cottages. Plastic and paper can not be separated at the cottages, which does not promote recycling. The park lacks a vision of sustainability. The swimming pool is still nice but needs new attractions. Staff is mostly friendly. To me it felt like the park is being run down to the short time benefit of its shareholders.

Het Heijderbos is the fourth park in which we have vacationed.

The park made a worn impression. Paths and roads are difficult to pass for disabled people in many places. Access to the lake is only possible in very few places.
We enjoyed the nature and the many recreational opportunities.

Nice swimming pool. Tiles is not so bad you should not run. Wild water run at the end, however, fierce. Slide does take a long time before it is your turn. Snorkeling was fun but expected something more. All in all recommended.

Here you can definitely recommend a top pool on holiday, but the whitewater course is a bit painful

Wonderful park with good facilities. Loved the jungle dome and water park. Only negative point is that the accomodation is rather dated. But it was clean and comfortable.

Completely okay ... nothing more. 3-4 days longer then the mass processing is annoying ... well suited for children. There are enough activities and lots of other kids / teenagers

One of the nicest parks in Center Parcs. We had one of the renovated house and this all looked tip top. Also in terms of hygiene it was fine. Staff and friendly and the pool is fun for young and old!

It was distance the worst and dirtiest vacation of my life! Aqua Mundo far too small for the amount of people. The water chlorinated, burning and red eyes were standard! Our house (Vip house) was anything but inviting! Only positive are the renovated bathrooms. In the toilet room there was no hot water. The pillows and the whole house stank of dog (wet dog) just disgusting! The food here is heartless deep fried no matter if fish or schnitzel. Schnitzel costs 17.45! If it's good, but not for such a rotten crap. Playgrounds are rare and uninviting for the kids. The Jungle Dome is ok but not enough to cover a day and on Mondays it's closed too. Trampoline costs 1 Euro for 6 min. Activities for children very limited. We decided to spend another 200 to spend a day in the Efteling Park so we could escape the dirt! Generally the whole area is not very inviting. The staff are all very friendly. We understand very well that conscience things get older, but also old things can be nice and clean. A tip will not let you dazzle from the photos! Here are some real photos from me. It is a pity the many money we have paid for this! But we will Never put even a Fusszeh in a Centerparc.Auch in the dark it is difficult, sometimes trails are not lit or not passable in Regen.Zu last but not least would be going on, which we learn in hindsight through a little research have this park to be renewed. Times Honestly, dear owners, Vorgestzten and what does not exist, cleanliness has nothing in common with "new". It is an absolute impudence and rip off the families aware to offer something like this! Fact is our money is gone for nothing really nothing! An "apology" does not help me!

You have to differentiate a little here.
Swimming pool theme. The bathroom is absolutely fine and clean. So also fits in the price-performance comparison. The sauna is okay too, small but comfortable. Only the prices are not so good in terms of timing. Day ticket 12.50 is okay.
The food is okay too, but you should come shortly before the restaurant closes, open until 8:00 p.m. and at 7:45 p.m. there was nothing left, very disappointing.
Also the catering at the buffet in the restaurant, here there is definitely an extreme need for action.

Best Centerpark here in the area. Everything available what a center park must have. Top swimming pool

Kind. Have a lot of fun. Pure nature and tranquility.

Great Center Parcs! The best high adventure course for the teenagers (and we have already done some!). Also a super fast whitewater course !! A lot of geese in the park .... And they make a deafening noise in the morning ..... Nice petting zoo with pigs!

(First of all, the park is to be renovated in 2020)

Positive:
-natural surroundings, especially beautiful in autumn.
-Aqua Mundo, great leisure pool, there is something for everyone *
-Jungle Dome, an indoor playground with real plants, an adventure and dream for children
-Children animation liked the short one very much
-Always friendly and courteous staff

Negative:
-Almost every activity has to be paid extra (and not too short).
-Price-performance ratio, with a mid three-digit amount that I pay for a week, I expect a) a richer / more varied breakfast buffet (it was really the same every day), with the specially booked "jungle breakfast" I find it an insult in the vegetarian option To be served 6 thinly sliced slices of the same cheese, especially with vegetarian / vegan options there is a lot of catching up to do.
-The app is incredibly slow (maybe data-intensive too?)
-The wood you can buy for the fireplace is completely overpriced, after all I now have a CenterParcs bag
-You pay in full for activities, even if you cannot use them fully due to defects.
-The accommodation had insufficient lighting.
-The way to the accommodation had some unpleasant pitfalls
-The entrance to the house is not very inviting, I felt like I was standing in front of a storage room.
-Some things are really rocked.
- * The changing rooms in the Aqua Mundo are unreasonable, either no space or no seating.

Conclusion: if you can come to terms with the circumstances and swallow many a small toad, you have a really great vacation.

I think when I look at the shining eyes of my short boy that we will be happy to come back despite the existing inconvenience.

It is a nice park and the house is also beautiful but it gets 3 stars because one of the bedrooms had an ant nest it was removed the same day

Very nice park with nice center and friendly staff. The Jungle dome in particular is a real eye catcher! Every so often a tropical rain shower complete with thunder and lightning.

Outdated and not clean as already described. The park has more potential in terms of location.

Still 1 star because it is impossible to reach Centerparcs (no email address?), Long waiting time for the telephone. Still have to get a double payment back, haven't heard about it for months.

Really great place for relaxing, swimming, chilling with family or friends plenty of activities and the houses are so pretty and are equipped.

Great to stay. But park is starting to come up against the best before date. Houses are becoming very outdated.

A very nice park. There is much to do for young and old. And yes it is true that the houses on the inside are dated and in need of renewal.

Plant is very grubby and neglected, waters stink, the bungalows are very old and come down. Aqua Mundo does not make much impression anymore. Slides are more suitable for hard dogs who can take the challenge. Without pain, this is not home.

Beautiful park, VIP houses are definitely worth it.

We had a relaxing weekend. The houses are getting a bit old but nothing was missing.

Nice park, with many fun activities. Market Dome is good, the Jungle Dome is great. Cottages are a bit dated but are neat and the service excellent.

Nice park in the middle of the woods. Jungle Dome is a great adventure for everyone where the children can climb and watch animals.

Back from another wonderful week's holiday at the Heijderbos. We had a 4 person VIP cabin. Clean and tidy. Friends gift and BBQ grid were not present. Phoned and both were still delivered to the house. Because the weather would be nice, 2 Ebikes would be rented. Super friendly help at the Cycle Center. nice team. We got 2 beautiful bicycles. Maurice from the Cycle center took all the time to give us clear explanations and advice. We also got some nice junction routes. Thanks! Had a lot of fun with the Ebikes. It is a pity that you cannot book Ebikes in advance, so you do not have to bring your own bikes. During this corona time, everyone really does their best to please people. Staff are friendly everywhere. Everything on the plaza was well arranged and clear. Booked again for next year and then, when all is well, the VIP houses will also be renovated. See you next year.

My current favorite center park. The wild water slide is awesome, the jungle dome really nice for the kids even in bad weather and the Eden VIP houses, which you can also book as 2 houses together are great for big families. The Escspe Rooms can also be highly recommended for families

Delightful place to be. It is a pity that because of the corona you can no longer stay in the pool without obligation. Or in the jungle. But otherwise had a fantastic week.

Houses no longer of this time. If you have used 4 cups and you need another, you must first wash them by hand. You cannot cut a slice of bread with the blades.

The negative thing for me was that there were no loungers in the swimming pool. Just uncomfortable chairs.
Otherwise everything is worth a visit. Bungalow was clean. The surroundings in summer are definitely very beautiful. Logically dirty when it rains.

Far too busy and too expensive. Swimming pool and jungle dome were the highlight.

The bungalows are of course a bit old. However, I have to subtract two stars, because even if a bungalow is getting old, hygiene can be assumed.

Unfortunately not cleaned in the corners and cobwebs in every corner.
Should be seen while cleaning.

The fun pool was very nice for the children, but I do not recommend anyone to let their younger children ride the slide without supervision, as the suction is very strong.
The jungle dome with its climbing possibilities and the presentation was good.

It's a shame that even jumping on the trampoline in the Action Hall isn't free, so you pay extra for many things that, in my opinion, could actually be offered free of charge.

Other than that, the park staff was friendly, what I didn't think was great was that the cars were constantly driving, and some of them were parked in the park.

And for everyone who goes on vacation, bring toilet paper with you.

The issued of the reservation codes for swimming was arbitrary, it was said that it was only released half an hour in advance, but that is not true, it is more person dependent. For the jungle dome you also need a reservation code, this is poorly communicated, so many did not know and the entire weekend was already fully booked on Sunday morning 9am. Then you can swim for 45 minutes, which in practice amounts to 35 minutes. Because you have to dress and take off, and then after 40 minutes people will shout "you have to get out again". The fish that you could see underwater with a mask was also closed because there was a sick fish. In short, I had the feeling that I was constantly calling for reservations to request a swim or something else, at the door of the pool it also sometimes went wrong between the reservation line and the documentation of it confusion arose at the door, but there is NO time for that, because 45min will be so. To bolwen or something else you have to make a reservation immediately and actually before arrival because there was only 1 lane left on Friday afternoon at 3 pm. In short, the policy is shaky and unclear and is implemented individually. As a result, you are at the mercy of chance whether you swim or can go to the jungle dome. You do get 1 code upon entry so 1 swim for 45 min have anyone so, and then Start the race to get more codes. As a result, the costs and benefits are not proportional. I understand that carona is now very bored and you have to follow the rules and I agree. But a clear policy and whatever is carried out as stated would be desirable.
Then everyone knows where they stand and everyone has a fair distribution of time in the swimming pool or jungle dome. Now it is too unclear there is poor communication and the amount of codes you can obtain depends more on coincidence and who you meet on the reservation line.

It was a great stay. The only bad thing was the pancake house.

First house we were assigned there was an incredible urine odor in the toilet which was not to keep, we were there late so the next day went to the reception for a complaint.
We were immediately assigned another house that was clean.
Unfortunately the plaza and the swimming pool were closed, but they cannot do anything about it, they could have made a price reduction for the ones we could not use.
Despite the problems and that the facilities could not be used, 5 stars.

Always beautifully situated and enjoy peacefully.
But for a few thousand euros I expect a much higher level. The house is too poorly maintained, wear marks on wood and all taps damaged, parts of the refrigerator such as vegetable drawer and the containers in the door, etc. are missing. The small oven is only microwave with grill.
And despite VIP house no streaming possible on TV, moderate internet which does not work on own Apple TV (was backup).
Good sauna.

Lovely quiet park, house a bit old-fashioned, but we took that into account. Unfortunately much closed due to Corona. But certainly worth repeating

A very old park. Unfortunately, our VIP house was dirty and partly broken on arrival (tiles in the bathroom were taped, sockets not tight, dishwasher defective)
The service was friendly and quick. The leisure opportunities are varied. The buffet is not very varied. The service in the bars and restaurants sometimes takes a long time. The system is getting on in years. It's a shame we're used to better things from Center Parc.

A really successful family park with action and lots of great fun offers.
The Aqua mundo is also really for having fun. The Jungel Dom is also really an experience for young and old.
The bungalows are designed to be very family-friendly.
Would be cool if another water slide was built in the swimming pool.
Overall it is worth a week's visit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice park, lots to do for the kids. House was somewhat dated.

Let's start with the journey, thanks to express check-in in advance in the app, it worked very quickly, and a bag with keys & co was handed to the car at the driveway.

Then it went on into the house, first impression neither good nor bad, everything is just a bit older, and e.g. the floor is already heavily worn, but it should definitely be enough for sleeping etc. for a few days!

We had ordered table cooking in advance in the app, i.e. a raclette delivery to the house, and announced by phone that we would like this on the evening of arrival, due to an upcoming birthday on that day. So we ran into the food store with the voucher to hand it over, and we were told that there was no order for us and that we couldn't get raclette today. So to the front desk, problem presented there, you could see in the booking system our phone call to be able to eat on the same day, it just never arrived at the food store. The supervisor present at the reception tried very hard to offer us an alternative, so she offered us to eat at the Evergreenz at no extra charge, apologized several times and also gave the birthday child a bottle of champagne and wine. For the sake of comfort, which is why we had decided on the raclette, we decided against the offer and looked for an alternative and took the raclette for the next day.
It is worth mentioning once again that the superiors have made great efforts to find an alternative!

The next day around noon, the raclette including the groceries was delivered. After looking through all the food, we missed cheese, which belongs to raclette like curry sauce to currywurst. So I called the front desk and explained the problem to them, who forwarded me to the food store. The employee on the phone explained to me that it was customary at the time that cheese was delivered, but that it is no longer common. I vented my displeasure, explained that cheese belonged to the raclette and the employee showed some goodwill and had us deliver a pack of raclette cheese for 6 people.

Otherwise there are various options in the park to spend your free time, some costs of course an extra charge, which Centerparcs are usually shared, of course, and you should be aware that they are a bit more expensive.

The food is usually expensive at Centerparcs, but it also tastes good and we experienced an example of really good service in the Grand Cafe, where our waitresses and I have never seen that crouching down next to us at the table every time around us to communicate at eye level which was incredibly service-oriented and personable! Thanks again to Dirk from the Grand Cafe !!!

The park is large, the center has many facilities. The houses are somewhat outdated and the decoration in and around the houses can be renewed. Furthermore, all fine.

One point deduction because of Aqua Mundo wild water slide ... in some places very dangerous. And showers ... well could be well-kept. Absolutely top what we could in each CP, the Jungle Dome

By and large, everything is okay, it's just a pity that everything else is like eating out, going to the restaurant for drinks and shopping is expensive. Less is sometimes more

The cottage is in bad shape. A lot of things are broken, everything is old and the floors were not very clean when we arrived. Location is nice, it's in the middle of a nice piece of nature. There is wifi, that was an upside. The accommodation is very small, so is the park.

The park is very nice lots of variety only the cottage # 862 was just filthy, what was clean were the beds and the fridge, in the bathroom and on the toilet were long hair of a previous guest and in the kitchen nests of spiders and bee the sliding door when you closed it there was so much dirt that we even think it had never been cleaned.

Nice and small park the food is typical Dutch system gastro and not recommendable except ieri restaurant are sufficient in the swimming pool the food is insufficient

The heijderbos is nice but really needs a major renovation. It will become really old stuff .. !!

So,
As a visitor to several center parcs, the parc is one of the worse ones.
At first glance, the park is well thought out with their activities.
But on the second .......
We live in a vip eden house. So already "very upscale" according to the network with everything your heart desires listed. Unfortunately, not quite so in reality. We didn't have a grill as promised on the internet. Accordingly, not taken. Arrived, complained, were told to buy a cheap grill in their shop (I don't even need to start with the price). At the edenhaus this is not included (whirlpool, rain shower, sauna and co. But yes) That was point 1.

We come to the (in my eyes) not entirely safe swimming pool. This is the first swimming pool where my son is terrified of going slides. 1. If you bang your tailbone several times (regardless of whether it is a normal tube slide apart from its poorly constructed catchment basin or the inner wild water course), and in both cases you are pressed under water for a short time and you don't get up to die.

Then the "bread service" belonging to the vip house ....
Fresh bread rolls are promised every morning which are brought to the front door.
They are on time, but the rolls are not fresh but really hard on the outside. Then the amount of rolls brought changes daily.
Since these are hung on the door in a simple bag, it has already happened several times that birds tear up the bags on the door and help themselves. Here apparently a known problem where there is no remedy on the other hand / wants to exist. (You should put something out yourself where it could be packed ... if you are there for the first time and do not know that, you are just unlucky)

Then we come to the last point that I find extremely outrageous ...
I know that the prices of gastronomy are raised in such a park. But here it is not even considered in relation to the other parks.
Selling a bottle of wheat beer (purchase price around one euro) for a nice 5 euro is hard. Not even in a matching glass. Nice from the pulp.
I don't even need to start with their outrageous cocktail prices! (This is more water and ice instead of cocktail in a simple drinking glass)

Ice that is completely frozen (with ice crystals in it) and offered in a normal drinking glass is offered for about 5 euros, doesn't fit in my eyes either!

But I have to credit them for the jungle dome! My son had a lot of climbing fun there and it's also great!

Compared to other parks, this one is a rip off for "non-activities".

I can't say if it's because it's a Dutch center parc. But that is not reasonable.

Conclusion; Self-sufficiency and at most use the activities or do something outside of the park ... (but then you can leave it alone.)

I was personally much more satisfied with the German parks.

I'm not going there again with the family.

Swimming pool is great. Houses very outdated. Price quality is really out of proportion. Banks really bad. Beds reasonable. Cottage was fairly clean on arrival. Also overdue maintenance in terms of weeds everywhere. Prices in the plaza and in the supermarket are ridiculously high. Breakfast in restaurant is good. Evening food there downright bad!
Many cars in the park and that is actually not done. The employees of centerparcs themselves also drive very fast in the park.
No more center parcs for us. For that money and what you get for it you better go elsewhere. Where you get more for your money.

It is always about the guest as much coal from the bag to pull. The food is really bad and expensive, the accommodations you notice the age of more than 30 years. I think I will not come back
