Not clean and old. Expensive food. Nice game hall and okay swimming pool.
We have stayed many times in CenterParcs but now the first time in the Heijderbos. It is highly recommended. We will definitely be back.
We stayed at this park for a week and it was really nice!
I would recommend to anyone the E-TICKET before travel print out. So you can easily show the ticket at the entrance and then immediately gets his portfolio with house keys etc.
So you save the detour via the reception, which was very busy on our day of arrival.
We had a comfort house and were very satisfied.
Cot, high chair, toilet seat and small steps for the bathroom were already available.
The only thing that "disturbed" us was that the mattresses were quite soft ... but that goes for a week
We booked two activities to do that .... Paint the birdhouse and paint wooden shoes. Everything was well organized and our daughter was very happy.
Aqua Dome + Jungle Dome were really great !!
We will definitely come back !!!
Amazing and special place for families with children
With kids and dog definitely worth the trip.
Booked in time, cheaper than you think.
Nice park with good offer for small children. VIP house Eden is sufficiently equipped. Unfortunately, no cot, sheets for 9.50 available - very expensive for a simple fitted sheet. Photographer and Fotoservice in the park very nice, the entertainment is also in German.
Always nice at CP Heijderbos. A very beautiful park. I give the swimming pool a 10, especially after the renovation. The houses need to be refurbished and cleaned better, just like in almost every park.
Dated park but activities are very diverse and fun. Had a great week.
Very nice Center Parcs, deduction is only available for the expensive prices in the restaurant and shops. But unfortunately that's usually the case
Last week for the first time spent a midweek at centerparcs het Heijderbos. After looking forward to this for weeks, the stay was very disappointing.
It was so incredibly busy that it seemed as if COVID-19 had disappeared like snow in the sun.
In Aqua Mundo you had to reserve a time slot of 1.5 hours, in order to avoid crowds in the pool.
Unfortunately, things went differently in practice: standing in line to enter the pool, changing 100 people at the same time at the lockers (because you were not allowed to use the changing rooms) and then all at the same time in the pool. Because a large part of the pool was closed, the wave pool and paddling pool had been transformed into an anthill that you could only immerse in for a while, because there was no space to swim.
Just like the hustle and bustle in the swimming pool, it was also packed at the catering establishments and the jungle dome, so that here too the corona measures could not be complied with. Even the centerparcs staff did not use these measures and did not ensure that the measures were complied with by the guests.
Very unfortunate to see that at centerparcs commerce is more important than the safety and wellbeing of the guests !!
Nice park with lots to do. Beautiful swimming pool with fun slide and wild water slide, separate pool for children including its own slide and even an area with an underwater aquarium.
Houses are a bit old-fashioned but clean and fully equipped, except for an oven in our case (depends on the house).
During the stay had leakage to the roof, but was handled properly.
The park is one of the most beautiful there is. There is enough to do so that you are one week short. Too many to mention. Hwt staff are friendly and really give you a holiday feeling. House could be a bit cleaner. Every wall was full of beaten mosquitoes ....
We have now been there for the 3rd time and it was still a lot of fun
Nice park with plenty of activities to do, the prices for everything are on the high side!
Customer service immediately 0.
In the past you could call to reserve a day in the pool, now only via the website with only weird payment methods.
What did you pay from Bar on arrival? I am really not willing to create a Paypal account for this inconvenience or to choose a payment method that costs me 0.9% + 25 cents. Sorry but then never mind ....
actually a shame because I always liked the Parc and the swimming pool.
So unfortunately not recommended for me anymore.
Our visit was aimed at a day of swimming, it is a beautiful pool and we had a good time. We will definitely come back.
The bungalow was felt after the opening not renovated
Food in the gran cafe is nothing short of bad. Everything is too dry and has been in the fryer for too long
Do NOT eat here, waste of money, just eat outside the park or leak BBQ at the house
It has been very disappointing to me, it is not what they use as advertisements on TV
We stayed with 2 people from Friday to Monday in the premium cottage. We are generally very satisfied. We had problems with the tap that we called immediately. Less than an hour later the problem was solved, we were very happy with this! I am somewhat dissatisfied with the cleaning of the house. With an allergy to dust mites, this was not beneficial.
The pool and the way of booking were super arranged despite covid-19. The petting zoo provides a nice addition to the park. All in all a great weekend away!
Nice houses and quiet park.
However busy on Sundays in the pool
Nice park a lot to do and I certainly had a nice weekend with the kids! Highly recommended!
Nice park enough to do for the kids. Just a pity that the cottages are not modernized. Furthermore, fine.
Park very nice, especially for children. Swimming pool particularly good. Nice range of slides.
Mini golf course rather mediocre.
Vehicle rental slightly overpriced.
Premium class houses a bit shabby.
Very very nice and competent staff. Even in the pool was cleared by staff and floor swept. The dressing rooms are the horror but the swimming pool is mega. Unfortunately, once again the way to the bungalow are so stubborn and rocky point trees and root have made the way so useless that in the dark hardly came to the bungalow without falling.
Nice park with jungle dome and swimming pool etc .. Make sure you are a bit close to everything because it is really huge. We had to walk more than twenty minutes for everything. bit of a waste of time.
We were looking forward to this vacation so much, and we were so disappointed ...
I definitely mean something different by VIP accommodation. The houses are extremely old and clean is something else. Cobwebs everywhere and they weren't from the last cleaning until we arrived. Upon entering it smelled musty.
Sheets were not clean and there was dripping from the ceiling in the living room area.
After a complaint someone came to rework but this was more bad than right. We were promised a visit to the bowling for the inconvenience, which no one knew anything about two days later ...
The activities you can book are ridiculously expensive ...
Grossly negligent and almost worse than anything else, I find that not one socket is secured, all are at a baby-friendly height but no fuses are built in !!!!
Due to the fact that the risk areas were expanded, we left two days earlier, from the reception we weren't even asked why we wanted to leave.
When we arrived at home, we only noticed that all the clothes we had with smelled musty and therefore everything had to be washed completely.
General conclusion: never go there again ... We might give another CenterParc a chance but not for the time being. We have to digest this disappointment first.
A nice place to take a short vacation. Especially for families with small children. Very child friendly and family friendly. Gladly again!
A holiday in the Heijderbos is a holiday in history ... very outdated and old ... time for renewal ...
When we booked, we thought well these stars then we will get our money's worth ... nothing could be further from the truth ...
Eating with the snacks ... the burgers taste like rubber ... but well that's the first night and then you think let's make something out of it.
Last night was the low point ... after waiting 15 minutes earlier in the week on the terrace of Grandcafe and nobody has been to ask if we wanted a drink, we left ... yesterday a second chance ... 2 times to the walked to the bar to ask when we can order something to drink finally someone came ... then it took 45 minutes before we had something ... so bad when you put on a show and it's vacation ...
All in all ... the stars are too much for what you get as a consumer ...
Next time just go to a park with less stars ... the service is a lot better ...
Everything was nice and cozy, we have only been waiting for Fuego for more than an hour for dinner
Bungalows are somewhat dated. Aqua Mundo very nice but also very busy.
For a VIP holiday home I would have expected something better Mirror in the bedroom totally dusty cobwebs under the couch still remains of the predecessor, dishwasher wiggled in the kitchen. Personally, I would not go to the park anymore the food is overpriced. The sports offers for teenagers were good and the price still acceptable but you have to pay for everything you have besides as a family with 2 children a good 1000, - Euro away.
Prima Park, bowling is over priced for such an old (clumsy) job ..
Shame about the dirty bungalow. Was full of flies, floor was very dirty, bedrooms smelled of urine.
Houses leave a lot to be desired, certainly for the money they ask for it.
Would only book with a special promotion with a minimum 25% discount.
For the children super lots of fun things to do and activities at the park.
We had a great time here in November. Of course the cabins are a little smaller than on the pictures, but they have everything a family needs for a short vacation.
Didn't know most of attractions are closed on mondays. Doesnt really say anywhere, therefore only 4 stars
Nice and beautiful park! Only the houses are very outdated. Jungle dome and aqua dome are very nice and everything is there.
Nice park with lots to experience with children. Very friendly staff. Corona regulations were also taken very seriously and conveyed a feeling of security.
Nice park. Clean tidy houses with sauna and hot tub. Extra bathroom with bedroom. Paradise for the kids in the jungle dome and pool. Everything quite pricey but you know that in advance. All in all had a great holiday
Had an old, worn-out, dusty bungalow and a lot of money for nothing at Premium
Cozy park, good staff and arranged by an excellent manager
Lots to do and friendly staff! House was somewhat outdated but otherwise fine!
Old but not bad park
Some things could be repainted
But that's not a defect, just my opinion!
The prices for the food are acceptable, albeit different from shop to shop
greetings
Stayed a long weekend in a VIP house. Beautiful modern house with sauna and fresh rolls every morning. Clean and nicely decorated upon arrival. Pool not very clean and the shops very expensive. One of the most beautiful parks in center parcs. Lots of nature and nice villages in the area. We will definitely come back.
We had rented a 4-person VIP cottage 'renewed' for Christmas. Despite the fact that because of the measures in the park itself there was almost nothing to do (CP also has a small refund for this), we are very satisfied with the renovated VIP cottage.
I suspect the cottage was also only very recently renovated as the control sticker under the dining table was from 9-2020. That was also noticeable because the whole interior was still brand new. No use or signs of wear anywhere to be seen. The interior is also completely contemporary and fully equipped. The VIP cottage includes a combi microwave (with oven, contrary to what is stated on the website and not all of the staff are aware of this), an infrared sauna, a bath with whirlpool function, a separate bathroom with rain shower, large TV with JBL soundbar, dishwasher.
The park itself is also very beautiful. When everything is open again, we will definitely go there again to experience the complete Centerparcs experience.
Were there any drawbacks? Well one then; we wanted to be able to stream movies so I brought my Chromecast dongle. In addition to the fact that you cannot plug it into the TV yourself because it cannot be accessed (a friendly gentleman from the TD immediately came to do that), it turned out that you could not just log in to the WiFi with the Chromecast from the park. For this I had to call KPN and provide the MAC address of the Chromecast. After being helped very kindly, it turned out that the internet speed of the park was too low to stream a decent movie. I made a hotspot of my phone and then it finally worked.
But actually it is no longer of this time that you can not even stream movies or series properly. At the Landal, where we were last summer, it was no problem. So Centerparcs, do something about it! ;-)
Totally past glory. Everything outdated. outdated, but prices only increased .... List of things that were defective: bathroom leakage, dishwasher defective (twice), ATM, air hockey, PlayStation, change machine, dryer pool, snowball attraction and more. Information folder obsolete, many activities no longer exist if you ask for them (and therefore children are already enthusiastic). Free activities from the current WWF booklet are also not possible (zip wire, cool kids mission). No replacement activities, just bad luck. Staff does not think much. Hospitality really below par (breakfast buffet was downright bad. Egg cold, beans dried out all morning untouched, bacon floats in fat, sausages dried out, etc.). Was once a great park, now skip better. Very bad and apparently they don't care. People will come anyway .... Afrader. Another park next time. Center parcs itself does not respond to complaints, so that service is also miserable.
One tip: don't go here!
Why not? Here are some reasons:
The cottage and facilities were very dated; probably maintenance has not been carried out in 20 to 30 years. An example: the vintage curtains were repaired in several places with duct tape. The toilet resembled that of a dilapidated '90s roadhouse.
The whole house was covered with dust. The dozens of beaten mosquitoes from the previous visitors were still on walls and ceilings in all rooms. The greasy fingers of the previous visitors on the microwave were not to be missed. Do I have to continue?
Conclusion:
My expectations were already low, but I really didn't expect it to be that bad. For this reason we even left a day earlier.
friendly staff. if you have a problem they solve the asap. cottage are a bit on the older side but they are busy renewing it. lots to do at the park itself. highly recommended
Despite covid arrangement still very nice to be able to stay 'super nice between the trees' for the weekend, the only thing that is really less, especially now with covid' very badly cleaned, dust was still everywhere and sand still on the floor, mattresses not fresh anymore , the standard houses we stayed in have really not changed since the 50s, it really needs to be replaced, also in terms of deco unfortunately everything is the same, but that does not mean that good housekeeping is allowed after each stay, even in the quiet period and the dishes can be checked. Another tip: bring enough soap, washing-up liquid and toilet paper because you will not get anything from this ..
Nice big park with many playgrounds. An experience bath with slides and attractive outdoor pool. For young and young an interesting park remained. Our house was sufficient for 2 adults and 3 children. We did not eat out in the park, prefer outside the park .. Otherwise everything was fine. Parking very large but also fully allowed to park on staff parking.
What a mockery Rented one apartment for a weekend. Was not clean and the topper had bedsores. To the reception to report. Would cleaners come and someone for the bed. Bed was resolved by laying the topper under the mattresses with a wooden board in between. After I told the ladies what was not clean we went to dinner. Upon return it was therefore not yet clean. Such a shame about the money. Think a nice apartment would be for the program save my vacation. Is really too nasty for words. Previous butts on balcony, dirty and doors from inside and outside, dirty carpet, molds in fridge, coffee maker and around the bath, stains on the walls in the bathroom, dirty windows, radiator dirty, bathroom interior damaged by moisture, hose shower broken and fungi in the snake. Comes to apartment 24.
We always like Center Parks anyway. The cottages are fine and there are plenty of facilities. A lot is organized, although some things are quite expensive.
The terrace in the marketing is too small. Especially during the various shows.
Small downside this time was the speed of operation. 2 times (2 days) had to wait more than 20 minutes until finally our order was taken.
I was there exactly 22 years ago and unfortunately some things have changed for the better. For one thing, the bungalows, unfortunately we had no. 415, are out of date and everything is getting old. No soap. You have to buy firewood yourself in the shop and you were only allowed to swim twice in 4 days and unfortunately you had to reserve everything in advance. What is really annoying is that there are now a lot of electric cars that are rented there, which are constantly being used up and down by visitors. 22 years ago you were only allowed to ride a bike there. Unfortunately, you now have to be constantly careful with a small child, as they are driven up and down at regular intervals. If it were just the staff it wouldn't be that bad. It's a shame, I actually had very fond memories of that time. We had also booked the buffet in Evergreenz, unfortunately some of the food there was as if it was ready-made, such as all the pasta dishes. The fish and meat was good. The beer (Heineken) was very good as always gut
It's been over 10 years since we were there. We liked it very much back then.
Nice park and nice swimming pool. But we were there in a quiet period.
Good facilities and friendly staff. Park was built in 1985 so not everything is new but well maintained.
It is a beautiful park, but the large houses leave something to be desired. No dishwasher available and beds that sink quite deep.
Nice park but not during the hot days. Last weekend we had VIP Eden 6 person number 617. It was about a 10 minute walk to the market dome. The pool was great fun.
We had fun until we got into the house. It was very hot and stuffy inside and because there was no screen on the windows we had dozens of flies and other insects inside as soon as we opened the garden door. Incomprehensible that you pay 1000 euros for a weekend and there is no air conditioning or any way to open windows without ruining the house. On the first night, we had killed more than 30 insects.
We even left a day earlier because of this. The children couldn't sleep and the baby was covered in lumps. We didn't even use the sauna, which we enjoyed, because the whole house was a sauna.
Stayed here for a number of days.
Pros: nice recreation, we were not able to pull away at the pool. Furthermore, the food at Nonna's was incredibly tasty and the house lived up to what was promised. Staff were also very friendly.
Negatives: molds on the curtains: /.
Beautiful park, beautiful houses but somewhat outdated.
The pool is not very big but it does have a fantastic slide and a wild water course that is at least good game. Ideal for teenagers.
The jungle dome is also very beautiful but few animals in it.
Very poor value for money. Everything dated. So absolutely not recommended.
We have been to some Parcs. But this one is by far the best. Fast slides (black icon), friendly staff and the bungalow is clean. We can only recommend the Parc
The VIP bungalows are still good, but also a bit old. Landal really has the edge ... But the swimming pool and the Jungle Dome are still worth a weekend trip
The best thing about the park is the "Aqua Mundo" swimming pool with wave pool, plunge pool to see exotic fish (bring your mask) and the halbrecherischen wild water course. Especially the latter is attraction for school classes and teams who visit the Aqua Mundo to rebut in the wild water course. This is also very rough and for children under 12 years and not so hard-wearing people, this train is not recommended! Accidents are virtually the order of the day. Under the dome of the Aqua Mundo it is very loud; especially on the weekends and on vacation. The entrance fees (if you do not live there but booked from the outside) are exorbitant high.
Great location, very nice park. We had a very dated house (8 people) which was cleaned very poorly. After a complaint, the cleaning problem was neatly resolved, and we were told that a major renovation was underway, and that the house will be completely renovated in 2 months. We had a great time and are sure to return again.
today, because we were in the area, just have a bite to eat at centerparcs.
We will never do this again !!!!!!
first 5 euros parking fee, then you come to the all you can eat restaurant told the cassiere that today it is 4 euros p.p more expensive because there is "animation" tonight.
well okay, although I think 29.95 without drinks is very expensive.
We take the animation for granted because we were 3 adults.
We then saw a young lady with a large black wig walk around the starter buffet 60 times. A little later the children all got a wooden ladle to beat with the music !!!!!!! Hello, there are also people without children.
can make a very long story, but don't even talk about the food.
at the checkout we had to pay a 18.90 for 5 drinks afterwards. Was glad that we had walked away from a terrace because we were not helped after 25 minutes.
Even now that I have a grandson myself, never for us again a center parc ....... although we now understand why the CENTE (N) parc is called ..... oh, yes, another advice, especially NOT around you see if it is clean there ..
Great holiday park, lots to do at the park itself. Swimming pool, indoor playground (jungle dome), game room, boats, horse riding near the park, mini golf etc. It is not new and you can see at a number of things & places that it is used intensively, but it is maintained. Cleaning was not bad, could have been better. Service is good at the park, friendly staff. Allergy was taken into account in the restaurants.
I liked it. Very nice conditions and delicious food.
Houses very outdated and beds very bad. Cleaning and maintenance of the park could also be a lot better. Beautiful pool with 4 whirlpools, a wave pool, 2 slides and a whitewater course through Corona with a time slot of 1.5 hours and whirlpools closed. The jungle tree is also great fun for children and free of charge.
Nice Centerparc, great Aqua Mundo, but very shabby.
We just arrived yesterday and first impressions are that this place is big and busy. There was a queue to check in but this was processed very quickly and our lodge is lovely. It's all in one level and there's a little pond of water at the back. We're in a VIP lodge so the spec is great, the only furniture is a tiny separate toilet designed for people who have legs about three inches longer than the average human! The market dome is lovely and the shop has a good range of stuff and accepts credit cards, which is a real bonus for the UK traveller. The sauna area was empty yesterday and is huge. Two big saunas, one steam room, large whirlpool, plunge pool, five foot baths and salt scrub shower facilities. Indoor relaxation area and a lovely outdoor garden too. The main pool is great with lots of variety and things to do except swim! We need a bit more time to orient ourselves to the rest of the park.
an advantage
friendly service
you can eat well for little money
Fantastic pool.
you can enjoy yourself there all day long for young and old
and for lovers of couples riding through the forest
I give an 8 for that
a downside
outdated houses
WIFI was a great Vasco, paying 25 euros for something that half doesn't work
div times but they do little to nothing about it
adventure golf is not recommended, poorly maintained courses
I don't dare to rate this so bad
if we go back there will certainly be no more wifi and adventure golf
