LONG rocky trails with lots of trees. Nice lake view!
I love, love coming here. I try and come at least once a month. My favorite is Cedar Brake trail. If you are looking for a little workout, this is for you. There are a lot of vertical steps and it is more challenging. If you are hiking with kids, try Cat Pond Trail and Escarpment on the way back up. These trails are super clean and very well maintained. I also like there are no mountain bikes allowed, so it is just walkers, hikers and runners. There are always a lot of people there so as a woman solo hiker I have always felt safe.
Best place to hike hills that I have found in the Dallas area.
This place is really good for hiking I recommend it.
Scenic route on green trail. I Had fun... Would i do it again lol.... Nooo ill stick to the gym
Tiring but enjoyed the scenery, all do kids under 6 only if your Prepared your self to carry and clim, great work out over.
This is simply the most beautiful hiking trail in DFW.
Nice place for some short hikes with terrain. Lots of trees, accessible to the greater DFW area
Nice trail. Great view along the way. Restroom and water fountain at the entrance. Parking is horrible
Gets busy on the weekends so plan accordingly if your taking a group with you. Otherwise it s a decent trail for beginner/intermediate levels. Great for runners and brisk walkers.
Great place to go for an actual hike! I hope you like stairs ( Cedar brake trail)
Absolutely DOPE! Tried to jog through it, It broke me. But I accept the challenge and I'll be back VERY SOON. Parking sucks tho so get there early. You've been warned!
There is no port-a-potty or first aid station on the longer trails
It stays extremely busy, so if you're looking to get away from a crowd, go elsewhere.
U will fall in love with this place every time you visit..
Excellent environment to get your hiking or exercise on
Great place especially for bird watching. Very nice facility for bird watching volunteers and programs available to learn about birds. But one of the most crowded hiking areas. Nice trails lots of variety. Some good uphill steps & some nice wide soft & flat trails. Would give it 5 stars but for the crowds.
This is a great place for a light hike. Not overly beautiful but one of the few places in the DFW area where you can really go on a hike in the woods. Exceeded my expectations.
Well maintained trails, polite hikers, dog friendly and gorgeous!
Great trails. It definitely stimulates muscles with multiple terrains and inclines. If you're looking to build up muscle and climatize yourself, this is a good one. Pretty short though.
Huge trail system! Easily the I've walked on in the DFW area, and the variety in scenery is stunning!!!! Trails are well maintained and wide enough for groups. I'm surprised it's free to the public but grateful it is.
Me and my fiancee visited there today for the first time. It was really nice to get away from the city's for awhile. The trails were awesome and challenging in some parts but like I said our first time there. Can't wait to get back and explore more of the trails.
First time there. What a great place to hike! Trails for all levels of hiking. I'm looking forward to making it a regular thing.
Great place for a hike and lower body workout. Much easier to tread with hiking shoes/books.
A hidden gem in the middle of the city, beautiful and peaceful well maintained trail. Would love to see more people donating to it. It's only $3.00
Great hiking and jogging trails. Fantastic scenic views.
Only thing is watch for dog poop on the trails.
Serene tranquil...if you're looking for a scenic, yet challenging hike
Love this trail! I got there right as it opened for the first time ever. I'd definitely recommend it as a great way to start any day. I just wanna say thank you to whoever maintains the trail. There's never any fallen trees or too many loose rocks. It's a good workout but safe.
Beautiful. Not open on Mondays though. Be careful after it rains rocks on trail are slippery and dont forget to bring water with you on hike.
Somewhat reminds me of the hiking trails back home in Louisiana
Such an awesome place close to nature. I go there to train for trail running and hill repeats.
Amazing place to relax.....feels like walking in the forest ..... Pond view is beautiful.. .
Awesome preserve with great, well maintained trails. Plenty of technical trail to test your legs on.
Love this place. All the trails were clean VERY well marked and cedar brake trail had nice elevation change. Absolutely recommend
It's very well maintained. Just very congested. And many dog owners do not clean up after them. Watch where you step!
This Preserve makes hiking so much fun and well worth it
It's a beautiful place, and it's very good if you want to make a career
One if my favorite places to hike. It's not super crowded, and the trails are well-maintained and clean. The trails largely run through the woods too, so even in the summer it's not too bad temp-wise. Be sure to leave some donation $$ if you go! They recommend $3 for one person, and it's totally worth it.
Clean, friendly, and the best trails in dfw area. Heads up, the preserve is closed on Mondays.
The best walking trails in Dallas. With miles of shady trails and wonderful scenery surroundings. Love to bring my sons with me and we've been here many times. It's their very first trail of their lifes and they love it. Will keep going back and creat lifelong memories.
Love it . Great for running and walking. There is a trail for al skill levels.
Beautiful landscape, safe trails, well lovely people to greet you.I love to come home and usually make this my first stop.
Hiking here for 15 years and it's still the best nature center in the DFW!
It was absolutely amazing trail but make sure you are prepared for a good hike. Bring plenty of water and light snack to keep up your Energy.
Multiple trails with cute views. Not crowded at all!
Great for camping and exercise. Good place for friends and family.
This is the second time hear and it's a great hiking area. It can be busy at times but there is plenty of trail length to have the secluded feeling. Decent inclines and declines for a workout. We are going to try to make it a Sunday thing.
Awesome place to run/hike and use as a therapy workout.
Great place for a hike or trail run. Outside longest loop is 5.5 miles. They have water fountains to fill up your water bottles and clean heated bathrooms.
Bring your dog's a bottle of water and get to it. I always feel amazing after a nice hike through here. The trails are clean. They need to be remarked but you can still find your way
Beautiful place to go hiking. The trails are kept clear of brush and certain areas are reinforced for safety. Go early, as parking is limited. Indoor restrooms are very clean.
