This was a lot of fun! I was able to see quite a few birds that we do not have in Georgia. However, when we went a couple paths were flooded or too muddy to walk on. I hope to return on my next trip to Texas.

Dallas is not exactly known for its nature, but the Audubon Center is a natural gem right outside the city. Come for a visit and walk through the wetland habitats. Try to spot as many birds as you can, and maybe even a turtle or too! A fun place to go relax for a couple hours away from the city.

Held a wedding here over the weekend and loved the view, architecture, and purpose of the center. It offers a lot for a cool field trip for 5th graders, and a private event for us adult-folks.

Great place to walk around for a few hours. Take your time and keep your eyes and ears open. Saw a great white egret and a blue heron in the ponds, some hawks soaring high, and what I think was a red tanager that darted out of the trees in a flash.

It was late summer and hot and dry and too late in the morning when they opened at 9 to see anything other than a few wading birds. However, I found they have a parking lot outside the gates, so you can arrive really early and see some activity that you would otherwise have surely missed by the time they opened at 9 on Sunday.

The visitor center was AC cooled and had a nice interpretation center inside.

The owl prowl experience was great! I enjoyed going out into the forest at night and listening for owls. We got lucky on our Great Horned Owl call and heard Barred Owls responding. It was awesome and exciting. Afterwards we enjoyed a fire and roasted marshmallows.

This is my Oasis from the city. I advise staying on the Audubon side of the the trail. The trail is broken into 3 parts. The first or last half the side connected to (Joppa Preserve) connected to a park and picinc area should be avoided. The 2nd half is the wetlands. Opening to a pond and plain. Plenty of birds, insects, and yes snakes. The entrance to the trail closest to the Audubon center is my favorite. The trail takes you through tress with bends and bridges. Spiders and other insects pop out at you. I prefer this trail it provides shade and is the longest of the three parts

I love how my kids do not realize they are learning and doing science while they are here! There are also beautiful natural scenery and walks and we love taking advantage of the programs and special events out there.

$6 per adult. There's also a Groupon for bird watching and a season pass. Bring old shoes as it was muddy. Pretty place. Great for newbie. Paths aren't wheelchair accessible except right at beginning.

This place is a great little escape from the Dallas bubble! Trails are easy to follow and the exhibits teach a lot about the history of the site and science of the river and flood plains

Beautiful facility within the city. My friend held his wedding reception here and we had an amazing time. Great location, space, and scenic view for people who want to have events that leave an impression!

Wonderful serene escape in the middle of the city. Great family-friendly hiking trails (easy for children to walk) and an engaging educational center to inform visitors about how the Audubon Center came to exist. Once you visit you'll be sorry you didn't visit sooner. Best bird-watching happens in the early morning. Staff is friendly and well-informed.

It was a great place to visit. Definitely recommend taking sun screen and bug spray. The trails are nicely marked. Before starting the trail there was a sign with possible sightings of snakes, hogs, and coyotes. Luckily everything went smoothly! Definitely recommend if you like bird watching or just love the wilderness :) This is not the place if you don't like bugs lol

Kids attended a summer camp. The camp was awesome but I can't review the center. Gave 4 stars because parking is a pain and the building could use signed saying this way to entrance. We had no idea where to go.

The beautiful nature has been preserved well in this place. There is a lot to see in here such as birds, owl, trees, grass, and many more. The trails are clean, and the entry fee is reasonable. We will come back soon!

Love the intention of this 120+ acre nature preserve, built on an illegal landfill that now is contained and has honeybees on it! The wild birds and the vista views are breathtaking. Dallas is so fortunate that people like TRAC are investing in our children's children's future. Blessings!

This site is a great place to take a break, get out and enjoy nature without traveling out of town. It's especially amazing to thinking about and experience when you learn the history of the site as an illegal dumping ground. The trails are all well marked and in great shape, even despite all the rain the area had been having. None of them were too difficult either. It was a nice way to spend a couple of hours.

Very beautiful place to learn about the Trinity River and how it contributes as a lifeline to Dallas. A little out of the way from the city, but if you love hydrology it is worth a visit. If not, I probably wouldn't come all the way out here.

Over priced!
