Huge preserve to walk. The Outlook is beautiful. We walked so long that when we took a break on way home she found a dug out under some roots in the creek and tapped out. She refused to come out and go on until she finished resting. Too funny

Really nice hike that elevates to about 250ft. The viewpoints are beautiful in the fall and summer. Terrain keeps changing so its not a boring hike. It almost feels like you are up in the mountains. I would definitely watch out for snakes and other wildlife so try to stay on the trails.

Easy to find. Well-marked trails with a variety of lengths and elevation changes (no major elevation changes tho). Clean. Friendly folk, although the occasional runner or "serious hiker" tend to claim right-of-way.

Definitely recommended :-)

Well worth it ...! I run up and down the trails for 45min-1hr. resting every 1-2 miles to do push ups, squats, whatever. Sometimes I take my Nikon D3200 and take photos. Kid friendly, not stroller friendly, some trails are though but be sure to check 'em out before you take one there. haven't ran into any wild life yet! Folks of all backgrounds have fun here. I come 3-5 times a week or when I am not in Planet Fitness weight training. The treadmill is false motivation, stay away! Hit the Trails ..!

Only place around Dallas where you can find actual hills and trail. We went here to train for trail running. There are some very good trails to run on with very good elevation gain. Trails are categorized from simple to more technical. You can run each trail once or can make multiple loops of same trail to get good elevation. Cedar break trail is the longest and most technical trail here. You have to carry water with you as there is water at only the start. Washrooms are available at the start of park. Lots of space for car parking. There is a small pond at the end, with a small hut where you can take a break and relax for sometime.

Cedar ridge preserve is the best place in DFW for trail running. You don't have to worry about mountain bikers passing you, because they aren't allowed. Trail is very well managed, and drains pretty well to avoid lots of mud. Best time to go is early morning, it can get crowded quickly on nice days.

A fun way to enjoy nature. Not crowded. Barely any other people along your same trail. Quiet enough to walk slow and enjoy a bird's song, the trees, and time itself. No bikes allowed but dogs are welcome. Very clean too.

Great hiking area without having to leave the city. Make sure to leave no trash and keep this little slice of nature in the best conditions we can. Take water and be prepared for some elevation changes.

A great safe place to hike with a variety of trails. They do request a $3 donation, but it is worth it because the trails are well maintained. There is a good map at the start which I took a picture of.

Very well maintained and marked trails. Lots of options for hikers of various skill and fitness levels. The only downside is that there are no long trails. If you want to do more than 5-6 km you will have to do loops of the same trail.

Great hiking and easy to find trails. Very crowded though so if your looking for social distance there are other great places less crowded. I recommend taking the trail down to the pond. Be sure to leave a donation. You can see the hard work they do to keep the trails up. Especially during these time of uncertainty a 3 dollar donation goes a long way. Cheers!

My favorite place to go, makes me feel like I m not in Texas anymore. Unfortunately it has become so popular you have to go before 6am or you can t park. At the same time if you come later the people that come are rude, the dog friendly people and polite people come early.
