I was surprised by how the terrain changed, didn't feel like I was in Texas but at the same time had much of the Texas flare you expect.

Great place for a morning walk. Some of the trails can be a little challenging if it's wet because they can become slippery. There's plenty of shade and really nice views. There are restrooms at the entrance and picnic tables.
Great place with a variety of trails for exercise or simply for a nice walk out with Your Family or Pets.
The most amazing trail in all of DFW! if you're looking for topography and a great workout, this place is it!
This is a great hike, there really isn't anything similar in the metroplex. Very busy on weekends, but still the trails are not overly crowded. The escarpment trail is stroller/rugged wheel friendly, but the other trails are definitely for hiking only.
great place to come and relax while you run, jog or walk the scenery here is just awesome.
For me it is beautiful the song of the birds is heard beautiful it is not felt the very strong sun you walk under the trees it is fabulous to walk.
I wasn't much of a runner but now I love it! Specially running in these trails. Everyone I have encountered is so nice as well!
Beautiful trails and scenery. It's a great place to get your work out if you enjoy the open outdoors. The paths are clear and defined. Only issue is the description of which way the trails are leading you. They can get a bit confusing but in the end its worth it. Please remember to bring water, and use the bathroom before starting your journey
Beutyful place, many diferent trails to walk.
Beautiful place, different paths to travel.
Always a great place to hike except when it has rained heavily.
Amazing trails and awesome scenery!!! Always have a blast here!!!
Beautiful hiking trails that make you forget about the city.
One of the few places in Dallas where the hikes have uphills! Very beautiful space as well.
Trails are well marked and cover lots of ground. Offer great views to make you forget you are near the city. Weekends are very crowed and people are not familiar with trail edicate.
Me and my husband simply loved this place the atmosphere was awesome. We can't wait to go back.
Great well developed trails. Great for a walk or a great workout.
Had a great family hike with our two little ones. The cattail pond trail was very kid friendly. Will definitely be coming back here often.
Excellent for walking with a partner, clean and safe
Me and a friend went on Sunday and we had a blast. The trails were marked well and gave heads up when you would hit another trail. It was near a road that was heavily had construction going. The trails had a great incline and could be used for all people for all fitness levels. There are some trails that are used more frequently so there will be runners and become heavy with traffic at times. On a Sunday there was not a big of a crowd, I would go afternoon 1 or 2. The trails had ponds and sights that were great to view and capture the scenary around you. Make sure you bring water because you will need it I promise you. People should visit it there is incredible nature walk that people need to see.
I had an awesome hike! I thought it would be an easy thing, I was wrong. I felt like I had gone to the gym afterwards.
Great place to get away for a hike or meditation or exercise!
I love coming to this place for great cardio workout the environment is wonderful. Its pet friendly and also kids friendly just pack a lot of cold water.
These were the first hiking trail that I ever went to, didn't disappoint. Clean traild, great views and friendly people all around.
We have visited for about 8 years! Love it for what it's for. Today someone directing traffic hollered MASK while walking up! I've been three times this week and this is the first time someone told us we must wear a mask. My question is are you checking everyone in their cars going in while your directing traffic? Anyway, he then said we could go in without it. I passed on his aggressive offer.
We love the trails! Family friendly location for all ages. My parents love going with us when they come home for the holidays or vacation. Wonderful for kids and dogs. Bring lots of water good tennis shoes and expectation to find little creatures (butterflies, bunnies, insects, snakes, etc.). A good peaceful place, close to the city, but out from the mess!
This has been my staple hiking spot for years and u have seen it become more popular. It's still the most beautiful natural scenery in the Dallas area and a great workout!
Beautiful very maintained trails. Several Outlook points too. I was honestly shocked at how clean and well maintained the bathrooms were too!
I m so in love with this place... and this is coming from a couch potato. Lol! I love the hikes here! Heaven on earth! GO! You re gonna love it!
Everybody should take time to go out to this place and take in some nature: Good for the soul.
Amazing place to go for a hike, parking can be tricky just a heads up btw. Watch out for snakes.
This is my favorite place to hike! It has many miles of hiking with easy options to include your kids. The scenery from here is amazing!
This hiking spot is a little gem in the heart of Dallas, I come here often it's well maintained & safe to hike alone.
Great scenic trails for any fitness level or ability (walk and/or run).
Beautiful. Not strenuous, but not boring. Def will go again.
So much fun to hike around so close to Dallas. Lots of folx on ths trail feeling good and friendly on a beautiful day!
Beautiful preserve ... just be careful of snakes and you will be ok
This place is an oasis in the heart of south Dallas.
Very nice facilities, but many sites are closed and not accessible. We were told that closures were due to floods in the past years and the State has been slow to fund refurbishment.
1st time on this hike, but I must say it was very fun. I met some cool peeps, and hopefully made some new adventurous friends.
This is a good place..I feel safe walking there when I do go alone. I forgot to potty - for lack of a better word - before I went and had no choice but to use their restroom & I was surprised to see how clean it was for an outdoor public restroom. Since I've returned to this trail I understand what it means when people say they love the smell of outdoors - there are parts that has a pleasant natural smell. If you want challenges there are various trails that will give you a challenge & there are parts that are suited for people who are limited with how far or much they can do. Overall I like this Preserve. Also, it is dog friendly for people that like to bring pets & the pets I've come across don't tend to get in others space for the people who are a little fearful or weary of dogs.
Great place to escape the city while not driving too far away. Tons of trails to go on and parking is good, can get crowded though fyi
Beautiful land but it gets crowded and surprisingly loud with people blaring speakers while hiking.
This is a good place for hiking during the weekends. It has several hiking trails; the best is Cedar Brake, a trail with some elevations and nice views. The park offers free parking and has some picnic tables to relax. There are many families walking with their dogs.
Absolutely, great place for walks and enjoying peaceful trails.!
It was a trail in a forest. There was some ups and downs throughout in the way of trail. Some ups were little bit high. There was some spots of flowers and different birds with colorful butterflies. On the top of the trail there were a view point of the whole trailing zone with some part of city. The view was really refreshing. In between of the trail there was a pond. Beside the pond there was a rest taking place. From the rest taking place a beautiful view of hills can be seen with tortoise in the pond. The whole trailing zone was very energetic. Personally I have enjoyed lots in this forest trail.
Amazing place to go hiking in DFW! 10 miles of beautiful trails, great overlook spots and decent restrooms. It's a donations appreciated location, but if you go often, definitely definitely donate something. It was packed this past weekend with the great weather and if everyone there donated even $1, it could really go a long way.
Great place to jog and enjoy, gets chilly in the nov and december time but overall very clean, peaceful and quiet area to jog. The place is also well lighted and informed by signs posted everywhere so you wont get lost.
Very clean and well kept. I got a great cardio workout with all the steps and incline/decline.
I had never been to this place before. I recommend them to go for a walk to exercise and especially enjoy nature!
Excellent place to exercise with family and friends
