went to hike several times, very easy terrain, close to the metroplex, be sure to arrive early or parking might be a challenge

If you like long walks it is a nice walk through the forest
Best hiking trail DFW has to offer. Really enjoy the trails. You can easily spend enjoyable walking hours there or less time running. I haven't seen any wild cats like at Arbor hills . I hate it's so far from where I live, would go more often. Parking can get congested on Saturday mornings. Sunday earlier in the morning is awesome. Never been during the week. Clean trails. Beginner to mildly moderate paths some places, especially when it's rained .
Great park for hiking with good elevation changes relative to Texas's flat terrain. Lots of dogs and trail runners. Would love to go back for day hikes
Felt like wild texas....a bit more crowded than I expected but when going deeper into trails or the side trails it was relatively quieter. Will be coming back for a longer hike
It's a great way to get away and get some exercise. It's always clean and very well maintained.
Favorite place in TX to hike. Great elevation changes, and you really get a work out.
Been coming here for years they maintain it pretty well. Awesome place for family and GREAT for working out.
Great trails! Restrooms are ok. It's usually busy on weekend mornings. Closed on Mondays.
Great place to go hiking in Dallas for all experience levels. There are short and easy trails and there are long and more difficult trails. Beautiful scenery and it's easy to navigate given the signage everywhere. Bring water, kids, this is Texas and that humidity on these hikes will get ya!
Great place for walking. Beautiful trails, great hills, and a small pond with sitting area
Great place for walks and enjoying peaceful trails. During busy times there are plenty of others and dogs trekking along the paths. The views are great and everything is well maintained. You could easily take a couple visits to enjoy all the trails. It's surprisingly vast. Bring water and expect more effort on the elevation changes. You will be pleasantly challenged. Don't miss out an going to the tops of the lookout towers!
Very nice and clean place whit extreme trails good for hard work out.
Love this natural trails and terrains! Well maintained all around. Beautiful place for trail running and spending time with the family.
Nice wooded trails that are well maintained! They have a good selection from easy to difficult... I love that you can bring your dog too! There are not any waste bins on the trail so be prepared to carry your own trash until you get back to the trail entrances.
Meh on the nature. But maybe cause I have seen too many beautiful places. But hey at least it's a trail and some woods that all looks the same and flat
It's almost like you are kinda in the woods for a few minutes
Only place really worth hiking in the DFW. It has long trails, with hills, nice woods, cool scenery and once you get to some high points you got amazing beautiful views of the valley and lake.
I have been going here for YEARS! Cedar Ridge Preserve is the best place in Dallas to go hiking! All of the trails are marked really well so you won t get lost and the location is really well maintained. Another part of this reserve is that it is family friendly and pet friendly.
Best place to get away on a hike or just to enjoy nature. Closest feel to being in the woods right outside the city you will get for Dallas. Been going here for years.
If you go, only thing you should keep in mind is that alot of visitors unfortunately blast their music on the hike or are very loud and disruptive of the peaceful nature enviornment. Not sure if they want to enjoy Nature why they feel the need to do this, but if you can get away from them it is a lovely experience.
Always good for a quick hike out, grounds are fairly well maintained. Get there early as it tends to get too crowded later in the day
Love this trail. It's all levels of difficulty from beginners to advanced. Also it's great that no bikes are allowed so you don't have to worry about bikers.
Very well kept. Wish certain patrons could be introduced to headphones. They keep playing music out loud for everyone.
Cedar Ridge Preserve is one of the worst-kept secrets in Dallas! It s definitely increasing in popularity, so arrive early and soak up nature in the city.
Always have a great time at CRP. The trails are awesome!! I'm so grateful to live just 20 mins away. We had a big group of family and friends with us and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it, even the kids!
Take a hike...at Cedar Ridge! Get outdoors and away from the city with a variety of great hiking trails. Sure, it's not strenuous and the elevation isn't super high by any means, but it's nice to get in touch with nature within a short drive from downtown Dallas. Fun to wander around for a couple hours.
Great hiking trails. Nice restrooms. Nice outdoor playground.
My favorite place to hike. I put on headphones and zone out. I love this place. When I think about moving I search to see if they have anything like Cedar Ridge.
Cedar Ridge Preserve is a great trail system just a short trip from the Downtown Dallas area. There are some nice flat land trails along with a few that have great inclines and declines. Take the Cattail Pond Trail to reach a pretty spectacular overlook of the area and Joe Pool Lake and then a great decent into the valley to the namesake pond. Gate gets locked down 30 minutes after dark so don't try to stay too late. It does get crowded on the weekends so go early or toward the end of the day.
Significantly more people than wildlife but we couldn't have gone on a more beautiful day! Dopamine rush after another just being surrounded by hills of trees and small creeks no matter the trail you pick. The lookout is great and I'll definitely be back in the summer to read under the tree shade! Plus, lots of sweet doggos!
Super safe, nice people, dog friendly. Easy trail, make sure to look at the maps along the way so you're not going in circles!
Went with my wife we ended up staying for two hours because we got lost but what a great place for exercise well kept plenty of shade I plan on going three days out of the week.
Several great hikes, but can get very busy even on weekdays. DO NOT ignore the snake warnings. It is not uncommon to encounter snakes here.
A little taste of hill country in the metroplex. A variety of trails from easy to moderate-hard. Accumulated elevation going up and down ridges, with some easy flat walking on soft ground. A good place to train for more ambitious hikes further afield as there is plenty uneven rocky terrain.
Just a awesome place to relax and get a good workout in hiking!
Nice local park for a hike. Trails are well maintained. Can get a little crowded at times. Several well marked trails to choose from.
I liked it a lot. There is a lot to explore, walk, or jog.
Beautiful area to hike within the city! Thanks to the people that make it possible Cedar Ridge is well maintenance!
It is excellent the best place to hike with nature is super careful, only the parking lots if you have to take care of yourself if you go very fast they can throw stones at the tires of your cars
Great place people are usually friendly it's jus a great way to enjoy nature a great workout as well
It was very beautiful yet very long for people and also short trails but many stairs.
Probably the best hiking trail you can find in the DFW area. It gets pretty crowded on nice days but it doesn't bother me. The hike can be challenging for some as there are quite a few stairs.
I love this place. Super recommended to relax! Out stress
Nice place with plenty of shade!!! Little rocky but lovely path!
Great trails and there's a few geocache spots here for the interested. Pretty well maintained and a few nice views.
Beautiful place for a family walk and especially to many nice people walking very nice ..
I love it... I can't Belize this amazing place is so close to the city and amazing place to work out specially ... If you like nature defiantly check this out and enjoy its view point on the hill...
I loved it me and my mom had fun it was easy and then it got harder
The best hiking spot in Dallas. There are actually steep inclines which is great. The best part is the most of the trails are shady and all of the people you meet are really friendly
